Thanks for the info patriot. We'll keep our eyes on Jake Sharp.

seems like they found a good balance between the big black pounder and the shifty Sharp. they both average 7.3 yards per carry. jake's stats line is 16-117-1, awesome!

I watched part of the Kansas game and the announcer actually said that Sharp was the quicker, flashier, able to make people miss RB compared to the black pounder straight ahead RB on the Kansas team. I cant remember any announcer saying that when comparing a white and black RB. BTW Sharp is only a So, and the starter is a SR.

Sharp had a 7.3 avg. coming in today and went 17-77yds 1 TD today.

I heard it to, JT. It was pretty cool to hear! Sharp should have a very productive career, unless they bring in some blacklete and automatically demotes him. Big Coach M may do things a little differently though, we'll see.

Does anyone know if the Jayhawks have switched up the line up at all and put more white players in? I know Kerry Meier was a former QB but they have him playing WR now. Can any Jayhawks fan give an update of the starters on both sides of the ball?

It isn't hard to look up this info on Kansas' football website. Just look for the last "game notes" and you will see the 2 deep chart. Here are the whites who started last week.

Offense
QB Todd Reesing
TB Jake Sharp
TE Derek Fine
RG Chet Hartley
C Ryan Cantrell

Defense
DE Russell Brorsen
DT Caleb Blakesly
DE John Larson
MLB Joe Mortensen
OLB Mike Rivera

Kerry Meier is a backup WR

RT Cesar Rodriguez is hispanic
LG Adrian Mayes looks mixed to me

thanks Col. i will look into it...it seems kansas has more white players than that though.

Kansas does have a lot of white players, but those are the ones who started against Oklahoma State. 10 whites, 2 non-whites, and a WR who gets quite a bit of playing time isn't bad at all. They do sub in a couple more whites on defense though.

I liked what Reesing had to say about this Jayhawk team:

"We're not a bunch of superstars on this team. We're just a bunch of regular guys who love to play football. That's how we like it. We'd rather have 22 guys that no one's ever heard of that are winning every ballgame than a few superstars that everyone focuses on.

A lot of guys may have been overlooked in high school and weren't highly rated, but they're great players, they fight hard and I wouldn't trade any of these guys for anybody else in the world."

Oregon lost! Just another crazy upset in this, the strangest college football season I have seen. Kansas will be number 2 if they can take care of business Saturday.

Good one white is right

I would like to see them go to The Point Of No Return, the BCS Championship game!

Yeah I was going to say for them to Carry on like Wayward sons but that would be a cheer for Massah Bowden's teams...

Both of you don't you cry no more if they don't make it to the final game I just had to chime in on the topic.

Funny stuff guys!

I'm watching this game and wondering if McAnderson is a real name or another made up Black name? It seems like the Mc is Gaelic, and Anderson (or is it sen) is Germanic/Scandanavian. I know the Danes had a presence in the British Isles, but did they combine names in this manner? I guess its really not all that important, just seems strange to see a Black guy with a name that appears White at first glance, but really seems made up when you think about it.

Yeah, McAnderson is a BS name.

Too bad about Kansas, I was rooting hard for them. Chase Daniel is the real deal for Mizzou, though.
