Povetkin gave a great effort. Its hard beating a good fighter and father time. Joshua ko'd Povetkin.

Well, it's not the result I wanted, but I did predict that Povetkin would either get the KO or go down trying to get it, no running. He's got nothing to be ashamed of. 39 years old and went toe to toe, no b*tch moves.

Damn! There's that power from Joshua. At least it wasn't left to the judges.

It's been rough on us lately, but we have Lomachenko's next fight and Fury/Wilder coming up in December.

Joshua thudding jab was the key for him. Povetkin could not get past it enough. I see only another large heavy like Fury with longer arms beating him for the next couple of years.

I think Joshua's a good fighter but not as good as the hype makes him. He will never be as good as Lennox Lewis or either Klitchko. He doesn't have the chin to go balls out against another fighter his own size.

Yes, he won, but on a salty note, congratulations AJ for your two most important victories being against two forty year old guys who were out of prime.

Joshua versus Wilder is like watching a WNBA game. No matter who wins, both still kinda suck.

Hopefully Fury spoils the potential Joshua-Wilder match. Fury-Wilder is on for Dec 1 unless Wilder finds a way out.

Good point Gio. Unfortunate that Joshua's 2 biggest victories are against 40yr old white guys. This is the optics ((they)) want..

You have to wonder if Povetkin was 29 rather than 39 would he have slowed down less in the 6th round where he was noticeably blowing very hard at the conclusion.

Also trolls on the internet have called Povetkin, PEDvetkin but Joshua looks like Lou Ferrigno painted in a dark brown, rather than green........https://www.theguardian.com/sport/g...hua-knocks-out-alexander-povetkin-in-pictures

Saw the highlights and though Povetkin looked good He was faster than Joshua but just couldn't land anything big enough inside. Accusing Povetkin of PED use is laughable when compared to Joshua, who looks like an obvious user.

I am beginning to have serious doubts about Joshua's chin. this is the third time I have seen him hurt. He was hurt by Povetkin not once but twice.
