Saturday is a huge fight for our guys. Joshua weighed in at 245 lbs. Povetkin weighed in at 222 lbs. Obviously, Povetkin trained hard and will rely on his endurance and stamina in the late rounds to win.

Povetkin hopes to take Joshua into deep waters and drown him, which Wlad was unable to do due to getting old in the ring.

Povetkin has faster hands than Wlad. Most boxers say the punch that hurts the most is the one you do not see coming. Povetkin in the late rounds with a tiring Joshua hopes to catch him when a punch that will keep him on queer street.

This is Povetkin's last chance at the Heavyweight title. Hope he can seize it. Late KO for Povetkin.

Wlad took Joshua into deep waters and almost drowned him. Hopefully Povetkin can finish the job.

Povetkin is a live underdog and although it is mixed with a lot of HOPE, of course, I really believe he will pull this one out. It won't go the distance in my opinion. Povetkin, KO in after Joshua gasses in 8.

Of course because this fight is taking place in England, the cucks over there will pony up some scenario to call fouls on Pov or deduct points or otherwise give Joshua the victory even though the "Englishman" will be out on his ass.

One thing's for certain, though, and that's that Povetkin will go in, guns blazing and at 39 will KO Joshua or go down swingning. None of that sissy Floyd exercise bike crap.

GiovaniMarcon, glad you are on board and have the same belief. It' odd, that this thread is so barren with posts. Do not understand. Maybe last week's uber showdown, but not this. Where is everyone!

My biggest concern is Povetkins age. To be 39 as a boxer does not usually bring good results especially going against a younger, taller boxer who is only 28 years of age. I want to be positive but feel Povetkins best days are behind him. That being said I am in his corner and rooting for him no matter what. I think for him to have a chance he will have to at least knock down Joshua once if not twice. I don't think he has to knock him out but that would be awesome. It's a long shot but let's hope that Povetkin makes it interesting and win or lose goes out with a bang!

Not to be a "Negative Nancy" but I too think it's a long shot if he beats Joshua. Povetkin's prime years were spent overlapping Wlad and the PED cloud that he was mired in after the Wlad fight. It could get interesting if catches Joshua attacking with a sharp counter punch.

Joshua showed against Parker that if his opponent isn't willing to walk through fire he can just box from the outside and go the distance. Also the judges probably have a bias towards Joshua as the scoring for the Parker was too wide for my liking. As we saw last week the promoters cash cow isn't losing any close decisions.

PS here is a mini doc on Povetkin for Sky Sports.......

Five years ago, similar height and weight difference, vs. a peak Wladimir - and remember that a semi retired Wladimir had a peak Joshua out on his feet but let him get away! This Povetkin fight was Wlad's most disgraceful fight ever. He should have been dq'd for wrestling and hanging on like an octopus.

My prediction: Vityaz man by KO round four.

WW. that was one fight by Wlad that annoyed the sh*t out of me. It was as closest I wanted Wlad to get KTFO by his tactics on grabbing and leaning on Povetkin.

Povetkin looks like he is in shape. Hope he has the stamina to spring a leaf hook on the newest black hope without him seeing it.

After rewatching the Wlad Fight I agree that we should have seen the ref do something. More wrestling than boxing. Very sad to watch as a life long boxing fan. Hope Pov. can get some revenge against a diff. opponent. He got screwed over big time!

Fight snuck up on me. Povetkin is fighting a younger bigger guy. Hopefully he can get in Joshua's face in a way that no other fighters have been able to.

I'd like this fight more if Povetking was twenty nine not thirty nine.

I can't see Povetkin winning this. Joshua is in his prime, much bigger and has home country advantage (UK officials have been known to assist home boxers with early stoppages and bad scorecards).

I hope I'm wrong about this and Povetkin pulls off the upset.

Lets Go Povetkin! Shock England and the world tonight.

Russian Power! Even at 39 he is in great shape. Drop the sledge hammer on him!

Povetkin has the style to beat Joshua. He can take a punch and is very good at getting inside. If he is a shot fighter at 39, it will be a quick night. If not, I think he will give Joshua hell. Povetkin has not gotten the credit he deserves. Wlad held him, and Wilder ducked him. All the false drug stuff cost him a lot of time. He is also a very cool and composed fighter. That this is a big chance for him won't rattle him. He will go out there and execute his game plan.
