The liberal press & all the naysayers got to eat a big sh*t burger yesterday when Jordy Nelson hauled in beautiful 29 yd TD pass, and burned a Detroit cornerblack by three steps!

James Jones isvery questionable forSunday's game against Tampa, which will make Jordy the #3 WR all game if Jones is inactive. The third receiver is usually quite active in the Packers offense andAaron Rodgers didn't seem the least bit bashful about looking Nelson's way toward the end of the Cowboys game last week, so this is a good opportunity for Jordy to continue to shine.

If so, the Pack may start 11 whites. In recent years the Packers and Pats (and I beleive the Lions in 05 or 06) reached 10 white starters at certain times. But I have yet to see a half white starting unit since I've been aware of CF.

One observation that I made during the game was that jordy was ALWAYS lined up on the outside, never in the slot, and made a couple of catches against adam jones, the cowboy's best corner. I think the packers are SKY HIGH on jordy, this is beginning to look good.

This is definately true. What more could we ask from the Packers? They drafted him in the early 2nd round, he gets nothing but praise and admiration, and I saw him get into the game at WR 3 plays into the season!

Of all 32 boring teams, the Packers are really fun to watch. White defensive and offensive stars, an all-white OL, and an athletic, young white QB. If they only would get rid of those worthless black TE's they're always so fond of. Cement-footed Bubba Franks was possibly the worst starting TE in the NFL for his entire career.Edited by: Thrashen

Yeah, their tight ends are pretty awful year in and year out. Bubba Franks was good for only one play, from about three yards out when Favre would roll out and hit him in the back of the endzone. That worked every time.

The Packers dohave lots of rivals when it comes to tight ends though, such as the Bengals before they went out and signed Ben Utecht.

Still though, the Pack is still part of the caste NFL. If they were truly acceptable, after all the praise they gave to Justin Beaver in mini-camps, they would have at least given him a chance in the Pre-Season. Then they should have at least practice squadded him if he performed...Too bad.

I am real upset about Danny Woodhead in NY. He is a small school small guy even better than Beaver. He was doing phenomenal in mini-camp and then blew out his knee. Our guys just can't get a break! I know with how popular he was with the fans and how he was performing he would have at least gotten un-drafted RB Jehu Caulcrik's spot on the practice squad this year. Even in the NFL, if the fans go literally buzzerk over a player that is performing brilliantly, he will get at least a fighting chance!

On Footballsfuture.com's message boards the far greater majority were cheering for Woodhead to make the Jet's roster, with a few fans saying he needed a year on the practice squad being he's from Division II. I only saw one post saying "he's too little" and "training camp fodder" which was scoffed at by the rest of them.

Grant held out for big bucks, and now looks like hell.But the o-line isn't exactly holding up their endeither. What happened? Rodgers is getting creamed. And I thought Roethlessberger was getting hammered.

Poppinga showed up, but I think he needs to be sent after the QB more often. Grant needs more bench time he is looking to be tackled early, he might be hurting. Kampman was a bit quiet while Jenkins was smearing the QB. The O'line is really blowing some plays and since a football team starts with it this is where I place the major blame for their averageness..

Yeah I saw the game and the Pack O-line did not look good. They were good last year, so I don't know what is up. They are very mobile athletic linemen, which is better than a Sumo line, but they were over matched today. Rodgers had no chance on that last interception being crushed from the blindside.

With the running game, Ryan Grant's vision has been a problem though. Grant is not seeing the cut-back lane which Tony Saragusa pointed out during the telecast showing his missed cut-back.

When a guy is looking to be tackled I believe because he is hurting and is scared, I put Grant in that category. He needs fewer reps, but the coaches are sniffers and they cannot think without some other sniffers in the media to tell them what to do. Myself I would sign one of the white guys on the waiver wire to the practice squad to put the fear of god into the "athletes" and I would put the ball into the FB's hands.

Jordy was slightly ripped by Leroy Butler (former safety for the Pack) in his weekly column for not being able to get upfield fast enough from the outside. I know he has good numbers, maybe if this is true he is not yet able to glide past the bump.

I assumed Jordy's speed is equal to Jennings', but if Butler is correct then I thought maybe he spends too much time wrestling with the db which I would bet crowd the line against this rookie (hard to tell because tv coverage focuses on the qb and the ball. Still he is making some plays.
