I pointed out his unique athleticism in another thread. He plays a lot like Dennis Rodman on defense and on the boards. Jerebko can actually guard the 1-5 (depending on who the PG and Center is). I don't know if another player in the NBA has his versatility on defense.
On offense he can hit the three, runs the floor and gets a lot of junk baskets because of his athletic ability and hustle. Right now the rest of his offensive game is pretty unpolished, but you can tell the potential is there to become a much better scorer.
He is currently starting in place of the injured Tayshaun Prince, thus his minutes will go down when he comes back. However, the Pistons have indicated that he'll likely be the first big man off the bench, because they also use him at PF and Center.
In regards to the Pistons, although they have been pretty coal black I don't think Joe Dumars is anti-white. He drafted Darko, drafted Okur but couldn't resign him because of a since changed salary cap rule I believe, had Jon Barry and Bobby Sura play key roles, gave Delfino and Carlos Arroyo a lot of chances, gave Walter Herman many opportunities while often commenting on his athleticism and now drafted Jerebko who he gushes over quite a bit. Moreover, he specifically picked up Darko, Delfino, Herman and Jerebko because of their athletic ability, which shows right there he's less inclined to stereotype a white player than most executives.
If things worked out differently, the Pistons would have Okur and Darko starting in their front court, with Delfino getting significant minutes, and be considered a pretty pro-white team.Edited by: Fightingtowin
