Joe Calzaghe

No, In my opinionhe's not. Name a great middleweight he has beat, and don't tell me DelaHoya. Hopkins ruled in a weak division. There were no Leonards, Haglers, Hearns etc. Hopkins would have been soundly beat by any of them and several had moved up from the welterweight division.
Hopkisn outboxes Hearns Would have beaten the Leonard who fought hagler. And stands and even chance against hagler

Godkingyou need to put that crack pipe down. Hopkins would have to stand on his mommas shoulders just to kiss Hearns ass! Hearns would have no problem kicking the crap out of Hopkins. I would bet a blown up Duran would have handily beat Hopkins.

P4P Hearns was greater so was Leonard and Duran . At MW however neither of these guys is better then Hopkins . What Did Hearns do at MW other then getting beat down by Hagler and losing to Iran Barkley ?. The Leoanrd who fought Hagler would have been beaten by Hopkins . Hopkins would'nt have made the mistake Hagler made.

The ninetieswasthe weakest era in boxing in every division ever. The early eighties still had some great middleweights/welterweights - Duran, Hagler, Hearns, and Leonard. Any of these guys in their prime would beat any 90's fighters remotely close to their weight.

Hopkins would have never gotten past Hearns jab and would have had major problems with his power. Hagler was to strong for Hopkins and Leonard would have been to fast.

Joe Calzaghe is set to defend his WBO super-middleweight title on Mar.18 against Ireland's Brian Magee.I can't see how fighting this guy will help Joe's career in anyway,it's clearly a step back as Joe should be fighting the very best in the division. It was looking like Calzaghe was set to fight Antwun Echols, which would have been a real good match-up,but that fight fell through so he settled on Magee who nobody knows,no name recognition and no threat.Bad decision,Joe.

RIP in Enzo great father and trainer.

No Jones has actually fought Good to Great fighters.

Hopkins Griffin Toney Harding McCallum are a hundred times better then anybody Joe has ever fought.

Oops did i make you look like an ignorant fool again ?

Actually you only made yourself look like a fool, again! Jones, Toney and Hopkins all refused to fight Joe in the UK. Joe destroyed Jones and utterly took his man card from him. Joe outclassed Hopkins and exposed him for the punk he has always been...Hopkins has no class and is not in Joe’s league nor has he ever been.

Eat those facts!

For those of you who didn't get to see this fight back a little over a decade ago here you go. The hilights of Calzaghe destroying Roy Jones.

Just watched those highlights - what an utter beatdown by Calzaghe. I was never a big boxing fan but do remember back in the Mid 2000s coming here and getting some great takes on Calzaghe, Hatton and the Klitchskos. It was also hilarious to hear Max Kellerman doing his best to convince himself that Roy Jones Jr was not getting his ass handed to him by a white boxer.

Agreed! Max was blubbering all over himself.
