The Rams continuing not to sign a free agent RB is the best scenario for Jake to get playing time as a rookie. I can't see Darrell Henderson holding up as their main RB, so fingers crossed:

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Rams appear "all in" on RB Darrell Henderson.
Henderson continues working as the team's lead back after Cam Akers' season-ending Achilles injury. Rams head coach Sean McVay has expressed some concern about Henderson's injury history, which includes nicks and bumps but nothing catastrophic. McVay has pledged not to play Henderson at all this preseason. Fowler urged fantasy managers to "remember the name" Jake Funk, a seventh-round backup running back who has earned training camp reps with "his quick understanding of the offense and open-field vision." Funk and RB Xavier Jones would likely split carries if Henderson were to miss time in 2021.
That is very encouraging as far as Funk being in the loop. For BSPN to even not "diss" the guy says more than it doesn't! I hope he tears up the turf, and of course we know he'll have to make it to where they can't deny him the playing time because he'll be that valuable to the team this season.

The perfect storm for Jake Funk continues, as Darrell Henderson just sprained his thumb at practice and didn't return. Funk only needs to beat out Xavier Jones and Otis Anderson to win the starting job. Both of them are UDFAs but Funk was a 7th round pick, meaning that they thought higher of him than the others heading into the draft. Funk (12 carries, 68 yards, 5.7 ypc) has outgained Jones (14 carries, 50 yards, 3.6 ypc) in two preseason games, with Anderson yet to touch the ball, so surely they give him the nod, right?

Ughhh... white running backs simply cannot catch a break...

CMC missing several games agin this year; Burkhead playing hurt and being ignored in the cesspool oh Houston and now Funk the promising rookie who just needed a few carries to show his stuff...

According to this Sports Illustrated Article the Rams will actually play Jake Funk a few snaps tommorow. I hope it's at the running back position and not on
special teams. The chance of injury is even higher returning kicks or punts. Let the kid have a few snaps and slowly get him in rythymn before the playoffs
start. Perfect timing in my opinion with 4 games left in the regular season.

Jake's gf is a minor celebrity I've never heard of from a show I've never watched and never will, The Bachelor, Hannah Ann Sluss. I don't care about celebrities and related gossip but hey I'm not interested in reading non-stop stories about Russia and Ukraine right now either lol. Christian McCaffrey's injury problems seemed to start when he acquired a celebrity girlfriend, maybe Hannah will have the opposite effect on Jake -- make him durable and productive with the Rams. Braxton Berrios thrived when he met his minor celebrity girlfriend.

From people.com/tv/bachelor-hannah-ann-sluss-spotted-quarterback-josh dobbs/

March 11, 2020-
The 23 year old model was apparently spotted with Jacksonville Jaquars quarterback Josh Dobbs earlier this month. In a photo circulating on reddit, Sluss and a man resembling Dobbs, 25, can be seen hugging at a bar in Knoxville, Tennessee, Sluss' hometown.

If Jake can stay healthy he could have a role this season as the Rams RBs are already falling, including the one they drafted this year. Henderson is often injured and Cam Akers looked terrible late last season after coming back from a torn Achilles. And Sony Michel was signed by the Dolphins. But Jake was also one of the injured RBs last year which is why he can't let that happen again if at all possible:

Rams coach Sean McVay said RB Darrell Henderson was dealing with a "soft-tissue" injury.
Henderson was present but not on the field for the Rams' first day of minicamp. Fellow backup running back Kyren Williams is out with a broken foot. He is expected to return during training camp. Jake Funk appears to be next in line for backup duties, though Henderson's injury doesn't sound like a long-term issue. As long as Henderson is ready for the start of training camp, he should hold one of the most valuable backup roles entering Week 1.

We need some luck like Peyton Hillis had. Sometimes in life it's just being in the right place at the right time. Jake Funk has all the talent in the world. He just needs to stay healthy. If I were him I would do yoga to try and get more flexible.
Flexibility is proven to cut down on injuries. I would also be asking the man(God) upstairs for some help. He might even want to try going to a chiropractor. He needs to do everything to try to remain on the field. Such a shame as this kid is
dynamic to watch. What he did at Maryland in his senior year was breathtaking. Then go watch him in high school and he was literally like a Super Man Running Back!

This is a make or break year for Jake Funk. I just hope all his celebrity dating is not keeping him from being in the top shape and able to stay healthy. I know it's mostly genetics & bad luck but he is dynamic and explosive when on the field. I would
love nothing more than to see him be a little bigger part of the Rams Offense. As good at their passing game is it actually helps to take some of the pressure of a young running back. Lots of holes to explode through and I'm not talking about sex. Lol.

Worst case scenario if he doesn't make it I think Hollywood is in love with his looks and swagger. I could see him in tv and the movies if football doesn't pan out. I would much prefer he makes it as a running back!

Considering how bad the Rams' RBs have been this season, this is an inexplicable move. And with almost all the o-line backups being sumos, the problems with the offensive line may linger all season:

Rams waived RB Jake Funk.

They needed the roster spot in an offensive line rash. He'll likely be with the Rams practice squad if he clears waivers. Funk had two rushes for last year's world champions and could be an interesting claim for a RB-needy team.

Another day, another caste victim.

Sad but true. I was really hoping he might get some carries soon as their other backs haven't done much of anything. Maybe this
is another team that Max Borghi should contact. It couldn't hurt. His receiving skills would help Stafford too!

Not that it’s much of a consolation but Funk seemed to be a very good special teams player as well. The fact Funk got next to no opportunity this year while the Rams trot out mediocre black players at the position is just another fine example of how the caste system works.

WOW! Thanks Leonardfan! Just walked in the door!!

Sensory overload!! Jake Funk with Taysom Hill!!!

Even dwf's are starting to complain Mark Ingram looks like he's struggling (turns 33 in Dec) ...Funk can be a nice complimentary All-Purpose Back with Kamara.
