Indianapolis Colts General Thread

Awesome! Big fan of Wohler. ESPN has him penciled in as backup SS. Would be great to see him end up with 40 tackles and a couple picks this season as part time starter.
9 tackles tonight late in the 4th

Most inaccurate QB in NFL history is injured yet again:

Colts coach Shane Steichen confirmed Anthony Richardson has been diagnosed with a dislocated right (throwing) pinky finger and has an uncertain return timeline. “Don’t know how long he’ll be out,” was Steichen’s exact quote to the team’s sideline reporter. Richardson’s throwing pinky was bent the wrong way after he never felt the blitz on a blown pass-blocking assignment. The timing couldn’t be worse, as even a 1-2 week absence could be enough to officially take Richardson out of the running for the Colts’ Week 1 starting job. Even before Richardson’s injury, Daniel Jones had remained the favorite despite increased Richardson hype of late.

Good choice by Jones winding up in Indianapolis!

Supa afflete is made of glass

Steichen’s reaction says it all. He is fed up with this idiot and I bet relieved he won’t be pressured into starting this fool who can’t even adjust to a simple pressure.

I hope if Jones does get the job he can establish a connection with Pierce so Alex can add to his success of last year and really nail down his position in the WR hierarchy.
I’m with ya there Hock! Need a few things to swing our way this season and this is one of em.

Daniel Jones named Indy's starting QB! It was the obvious choice but Caste Clown considerations mandated a charade be conducted.

BTW, Jones looked great in the preseason game against GB, his passing was quick and decisive, and most importantly pinpoint accurate. In other words he's the anti-Richardson. Really looking forward to watching the Colts offense this season.

Funny thing is that Jones is actually a dual-threat QB as he has some serious wheels. But I guess that he lacks the "upside" of someone like Richardson. Congrats to Jones for winning the starting job! Looking forward to Richardson going down as one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

Tyler Warren has a good chance of following LaPorta and Bowers with a huge rookie season, which used to be almost unheard of for tight ends. Alec Pierce should crack the thousand yard barrier with a professional QB throwing him the ball and a snowplow o-line protecting Jones. This could be a really enjoyable team to watch.

Wohler hurt? When?? He had been playing great.

Our guys’ inability to stay healthy, when all the cards are against them already, doesn’t bode well for narrative changes. We have so few faces at forbidden positions as it is.

I don't disagree, it disappoints me as much as anyone to read about one injured White player after another in training camp. But tons of black players are already injured as well. It seems pro football players in general are more fragile than they used to be, and some pre-season "injuries" would not be regarded as such once the real games start. Just like in baseball, the old, natural ways of training seem to work better when it comes to durability.
