If anything, The Imus statements were a publicity stunt. Am I supposed to believe his side kick has an off the cuff knowledge of Spike Lee films? He's just playing the system. Is there a more sure fire way to get your name in the media than being a white celebrity and saying something racially insensitive? It can't miss. That being said, Imus is a crusty suckhole, and so was Haile Selassie.Edited by: C Darwin

Imus, like Howard Stern, is allowed to get away with these kinds of comments, while lesser known D.J.s who say anything to anger blacks are not as fortunate. Imus has the most mainstream media parasites and politicians as regular guests on his show; it simply is not rational to think he has a real politically incorrect bone in his body. I don't think he has apologized; why haven't the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton demand he do so?

Al Charlatan, Jesse HiJackson, Don Imus....all part of phony left/right paradigm pushed by the Globalist elite. I try not to waste much of my time paying attention to these "distractions" from the real issues (North American Union, open borders, coming RFID card, etc.).

I can't believe he has to apologize for that one. Stern has said worse. Who takes what he says seriously anyway. Obviously Reverend PO Box does.......

Stern has said worse and gets away with it because he's half-Jewish and everyone knows it. Because of that privilege, he gets a meal ticket, and the enemy nary bats an eye.

Guess again.

From Wikipedia: Howard Stern was born into a Jewish American family living in the Long Island town of Roosevelt. His father Ben Stern (born 1923) owned a Manhattan recording studio, where Howard developed an interest in broadcasting as a child. His mother Ray (born 1928) was a homemaker for Howard's entire childhood. Although both his parents are Jewish, Stern has long claimed on his show to be a "half-Jew" (the other half being Italian). This claim is apparently a running gag, as Stern sometimes mutters Yiddish phrases on the air which he claims to be Italian phrases. Stern's Hebrew name is Tzvi; his paternal grandparents, Froim and Anna (Gallar) Stern and maternal grandparents, Sol and Esther (Reich) Schiffman,[4] were Austro-Hungarian Jews who immigrated to America at about the same time.

The problem is the team does look like a bunch of Nappy Hos. The tatoos on them were terrible.

Groveling to Al Sharpton again. What a wuss. He should have took the opportunity to confront Al on his own racists remarks and endeavuers. Al was one of those that went after the Duke Lacrosse players calling them "rich white boys". Not to mention the Brawley (sp?) hoax, calling jews "interlopers", and defending any black that has every committed a crime against a white person. He really blew his chance for redemption. He will be fired.

What a joke this whole controversy is. What Imus said was crude but certainly not racist. Imus is the typical liberal shock jock and he has been doing this kind stuff for years. Who made Jesse Jackson(Hymie town) and Al Sharpton (Tawana Brawley) the racial moral arbiters of our time. Imus has been a friend to the black community for years, given tens of thousands of dollars and raised more for sickle cell anemia and this is what he gets in return. It's amazing how these people will turn on each other just for a little publicity and limelight. As Fox News contibutor Fred Barnes said yesterday, "are not Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton christian ministers, Imus has asked for forgiveness, shouldn't they grant it?". I totally agree and this is just one more issue that exposes what frauds Jesse and Al are. I have no real regard for Imus at all and don't really care that this is happening to him, it's just the principle of it all.If he had said the white dominated Stanford basketball team looked like a bunch of trailer park white trash rednecks, nobody would have said a thing.

Wow, they're really laying into this guy. I don't really know much about Imus. I used to watch his morning show (I think it was either on msnbc or cnbc) on TV before school started when I was in high school sporadically. I'm watching his appearance on the Today show right now, and of course whenever someone even remotely says anything bad about blacks, The Rev Al Sharpton comes crawling out of his hole calling for Imus to be fired. How racists like Sharpton are proclaimed as civil rights activists while anyone that dares to tell the truth such as John Rocker are practically criminalized is beyond me

Howard Stern had a totally racist skit when Simpson was on trial. It was called Ol Black OJ had a white wife, if you heard it it sounded like Uncle Remus drunk on malt hooch. If he didn't have to grovel before the black moral "leadership" why should Imus. Maybe it's because Stern has Robin Quivers laughing with him. Imus needs to steal away Robin....

IMO Sharpton is the scum of the earth. I, unlike it seems some of you, like
Imus because he's a funny guy. I don't agree with many of his political
views, but his show is a COMEDY show. What he said was A JOKE. But now
it's some overblown contraversy because he aparently with that comment
directed at the Rutgers womens' basketball team, he insulted the entire
black community, and when that happens Sharpton's gonna come out of
hiding like he always does. Why doesn't he go after real issues in the black
community, like the giant fight at MSG or the guy punching the old lady?
Imus is grovelling because he wants to keep his job. This is a guy who's
been on radio forever, and he could lose his job because of one mildly racist
joke. They did only suspend him for 2 weeks, but if the advertisers decide
to pull out, he will still lose his job.

Sharpton was not placated by Imus' apology, telling CNN's Paula Zahn that the radio host's two-week suspension was merely "a baby step in the right direction."

"I think to say that his statements were racist, as they've said, then that means they should not allow him to come back," he said.

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and National Association of Black Journalists have joined the former Democratic presidential hopeful in his call for Imus' ouster. The SCLC has asked the Federal Communications Commission to enter the fray.

I think Imus is an ass but imagine if, say, Snoop was the guest that morning and Imus's exact words had come out of his mouth. Not only would there be no controversy but the Rutgers ladettes that are now so mortified by Imus would have been whooping and hollering and probably have adopted the phrase as the their new unofficial nickname. Unless they are upset that the word 'hos has a more heterosexual connotation than they are comfortable with. Gee, maybe race has nothing to do with it.

I am astonished that this "story" has gained the prominence it has. I assumed that Imus, who I believed to be jewish, would be granted the exemption from this sort of nonsense that Howard Stern, for instance, is always granted. What is really pathetic is watching a multi-millionaire like Imus, who has no economic need to grovel without pride before some absurd professional troublemaker like Sharpton, issue a sickening apology that will not make his situation one iota better. If those like Imus, who need not fear the economic reprisals from speaking the truth, can't stop themselves from asking ignorant parasites like Sharpton for forgiveness, how can any working man or woman ever hope to survive the full expression of their right to free speech? The sight of a reprehensible scoundrel like Sharpton, who has evidently never held any real job since he burst into national prominence with the phony Tawana Brawley story, being apologized to is...well, it just makes one even more depressed than usual. WHY is Imus apologizing to Sharpton? What does this "reverend" have to do with Imus's employer? WHY is this idiot (along with the equally bogus "reverend" Jackson) the spokesman for an entire race of people? When will white people finally have enough of this? Is there no saturation point to be reached? Have the Baby Boomers and their children been so brainwashed by television, movies and public school "education" that they simply are incapable of independent thought? We can only hope that eventually some innocent child will impolitely point out to everyone that the emperor is wearing no clothes. Edited by: bigunreal

I think every single rap "artist" should be banned from performing,
recording, and have to apologize to every black person in the world for their
black racist trash. Imus just used black terms to describe other blacks in a
derogatory manner, and blacks do it to each other everyday. This is another
sickening episode. I don't like Imus anyway, but I'm sick of these witch
hunts. Whites never did this to blacks.

It's also interesting that they are never held accountable for their hateful anti-white racist lyrics. They go far beyond mere name-calling. They have advocated killing, maiming and beating whites. Are white artists allowed the same latitude? Other than Charlton Heston, who several years ago revealed the contents of rap songs, our media icons have remained silent.
