The Seahawks played well and earned their victory, but the bad thing about them winning is that there are doubtless many sportswriters, black and white alike, who will take this opportunity to gleefully write articles that suggest that white quarterbacks will soon become a thing of the past, replaced by "better", "more athletic" black quarterbacks. The purpose of this thread is to serve as a place for us to post links to these articles so that, at the very least, CF users can set the record straight in the comments section of those articles, or better yet write articles of our own refuting them and try to get them posted on a mainstream sports website, or if that doesn't pan out, at least we'd have some more content to add to the CF articles section.

Wilson's style really isn't the type of style of play of a young Vick it's comparable to Joe Theismann or Doug Flutie. Watch old Redskins games and watch the listed 6' foot Theismann roll out to throw or do a naked bootleg and you see Wilson. When Flutie scrambled and made magic with big throws after the pocket collapsed it's similar to Wilson when he burned the 49'er secondary. Any scout can see this but a writer with a pen can see anything he wants and report it as such...

That's all well and good, but he's still black, and in the minds of many sportswriters, him winning will be seen as a sign that black quarterbacks are the future, even if they are "playing white" (and not actually doing a better job of "playing white" than many white QBs).

Do you guys think I'm being too pessimistic in expecting a glut of articles like this? Maybe I'm being too negative and not giving the media enough credit, but I've learned not to trust them when it comes to any issue with even the slightest racial angle.

well its been over 24 hours and I haven't seen any articles like you suggest, the only thing I have read is that the success of Wilson has helped Manziel's draft stock

they wanted a black quarterback winning "playing black" like how Kapernick seems to run all over the Packers. 42 rushing yards in 3 post season games isn't enough for them, they want highlight reel plays like when Vick used to run around back in the day. I don't see it happening.

now long before the Superbowl there was the talk of the "new breed" of quarterbacks, but Andrew Luck was always mentioned. They can't deny how great he is, prototypical size and runs a 4.59 with great passing skills.

They do desperately want Brady Manning and Brees to be done with their careers but even Manning has a few years left. Rodgers is still pretty young. However, there are plenty of young White qbs in the league. Brady wasn't known as a great passer coming into the league and the Chargers were ready to give up on Brees, only Manning was expected to be great from the beginning, and we will see the same with the future crop, Luck will stay on path of becoming a star and others will emerge along with him

As the combine and NFL draft approach, we will have plenty of fodder for this particular thread. The howls to replace Ponder, Gabbert, Flynn, Hoyer, etc. with an affletic QB will be very obvious. For now though, they will just have puff pieces on the newest black idol, Russell Wilson.

Here is an article about how Wilson is going to play baseball this spring. The media is always looking for their next Bo "knows" Jackson.

the whole threat of baseball is him trying to get a big contract when his rookie contract is up. Seattle fans will think he is humble enough to take a small pay day in order to keep most of the team in tact. Wishful thinking.

I haven't followed the corporate media closely since the debacle of the other night, but most of what I've read is sympathetic toward Peyton Manning, and I haven't seen anything about Russell Wilson being the "second black QB to win a Super Bowl."

Who was the best rookie QB this past season? Mike Glennon. Who ranked among the biggest disappointments? Robert Griffin and Colin Kaepernick, while Wilson settled into the role of "game manager." It's likely the NFL will have roughly 25% black starters at the position over the next few years, but that still makes it by far the Whitest position in the league outside of kickers and long snappers.

Fantasy football makes a lot of fans aware of the positives and negatives of all the players, not just their local team. Wilson is what he is, a good but not great quarterback on a team that is stacked on defense. Given that the NFL is almost 90% black on defense, kudos to Plantation Pete and Psycho Jim Harbaugh for building defenses that are actually good. Same with John Harbaugh.

It looks like the retard with the 3.8 GPA is back.

Well, at least he posted this clip in the right thread. This is exactly the stuff that Ieroner was looking for when the thread was started. Wilson doesn't do anything "revolutionary" in the least. He's the most white (playing) black QB out there. How is his game really any different than any white quarterback who has a little mobility? It's not like he's a smarter version of Michael Vick.

How do you confuse someone who posts evidence of "White QB purge" with an anti-racist?

We have a poster here who used to post regularly on a wide variety of sports, but now is interested mostly in being as hostile to new posters as possible.

Well Matty G did do some messed up **** like sending out death threats and talking crap about people's wives, kids moms etc, so I can see how a person is on the alert for a troll but you have to let it go, because this right here, is exactly what the dude wanted. Thats how he continues to thrive, and probably is getting off on the fact that you are calling random new posters trolls (some of them might be but lets give them the benefit of the doubt first)

besides, imo, the real matty g is still posting on this board under several names but has kept a low profile with high school athletes and not saying much and seems to be on good behavior, but I am sure he is getting a kick out of stuff like this.

as far as the video, at least plenty of Whites were mentioned like Bortles, Manziel, Rodgers. Brees doesn't get credit for being mobile within the pocket. Its something Manning and Brady used to be good at as well, not as good as Brees but still good moving around. They have aged and need better protection, a sumo line won't work for Manning when it comes to the big games. Brees is losing mobility as well and getting hit more, the constant sumo lines that NOLA has put up is starting to hurt them. Manning also needed a runningback to step up and take some pressure off so the defense wasnt constantly pass rushing. It seemed like he locked onto his first read and just got rid of the ball as soon as it got into his hands, and apparently his number 1 read was Thomas for most plays. If he had time he could have thrown a bomb to Decker.

So changing the game? If Aaron Rodgers was doing it before then didn't he change the game? Wilson models his game after Brees who moves around the pocket in an elite way, Wilson hasn't come close. Brees was pretty athletic coming out, 4.7 40, excelled at a bunch of sports. He mastered the art of stepping into the pocket to extend the play while the defensive ends are coming around, essentially making them over pursue, climbing the pocket he has more time, and more receivers to throw to, when you scramble to one side of the field its going to be hard to hit a guy on the other side so you are kind of limited. However, defenses have caught on and try to blitz more in the middle and the sumo guards they have are overrated as hell, and when they get penetration up the middle Brees does horrible. People want to say Manning had a bad game, Brees did the same in the regular season they lost like 35 to 7 or something with Brees throwing for 143 yards. Can't go to Seattle and beat them with a passing attack. The second time they focused more on the run and still lost but it wasn't embarrassing.

Theyd like us to believe that these White guys are drop back statues, when it isn't the case. As Manning and Brady get older, yes mobility is loss but they were never true statues, and Brady can get away with it because of his majority White lines. Drew Bledsoe was more of a statue, and Bellicheck talks about how that was one of the reasons he was confident in switching to Brady. Ironic that the guy who is there to replace Brady kind of compares to Bledsoe in Ryan Mallet, although Mallet probably has more mobility.

Russell Wilson could've lost in humiliating fashion, and it still wouldn't change media/DWF thinking. They would've just blamed it on the o line or the coach, like they always do. The new crop of black QBs is coming and Manning/Brady/Brees/Foles winning the SuperBowl certainly wouldn't have stopped it.

As far as Wilson goes, I'm a bit confused as to how his performance is changing the QB position. He did next to nothing through nearly 40 minutes of play. He didn't throw a TD pass until late in the 3rd when the score was already 29-0. I'm just glad someone on the defense won the MVP award, because Wilson didn't do jack until the game was already over.

Yes, the black quarterback campaign is in full gear and will not be derailed, even if every black QB busts in undeniable fashion next season.

Wilson "winning" the Super Bowl certainly doesn't hurt their cause, but if that was important to the agenda, the lack of black quarterback success in these big games would have been mentioned by someone over the past few years. Winning and losing records are only for white QBs, and black QBs like Vince Young, who have little else to recommend them.

I am at least a little surprised that Bridgewater appears to be dropping in mock drafts. But, of course, he will have a pre-draft workout, and it will be "incredible," as every black quarterback's workouts have been in the past. Just ask Trent Dilfer.

We should be less concerned with the rise of middle of the road black quarterbacks and be more concerned with the rise of ****ty defense and the continued snubbing of our talented players by racist anti white recruiting classes year after damn year!

I don't know cdb12, if the msm, cm, etc. get what they want and eventually all if not most of the QB's become black, it becomes like most other positions where they are black and two thirds of them are middle of the road or worse, but they will just keep replacing them with more middle of the road blacks thinking whitey can no longer play the position!

Hopefully this never happens to the QB, but it's happened in every other one, (position), so what's stopping them from letting this happen to the QB position?

I think that if QB ever becomes majority black, it'll be a tipping point for a lot of centrist whites, who will stop watching the NFL at that point. Of course the DWFs will continue watching no matter how "dark" things get, but they can't keep a sport afloat alone. The decline in the NBA's viewership is largely because of its fall below a minimum necessary level of whiteness. The Powers That Be will probably walk a fine line between pimping more quotablacks and keeping the position white enough to be watchable.

if that ever happens that will be the day I stop watching football. They have already been trying to do this (replace whites with minorities) in our society. Giving blacks government jobs and affirmative action jobs. Holding them to a lower standard for testing scores, etc. My point is that they underestimate average white person. There is too much talent in white America at QB. Not just QB in all aspects of life.. Idk though I see yours and Pamela's concerns believe me I've considered them as well.

Regarding the quoataback issue - I actually think this last season was a slight victory for us. Sure the Midget Trent Dilfered aka game managed his way to a Super Bowl victory riding an admittedly strong running game and defense. Both Scam and Krapernick are on teams that are built in much the same way as the Seahawks -strong running games and top defenses. Take away one of those ingredients and I do not think the black quarterbacks can carry those teams on their own.

Looking at the other black quarterbacks in the league: Vick is going be around awhile longer as a spot starter/2nd string QB, Freeman does not seem to have many suitors at all - isn't starting anywhere, Pryor is a joke - isn't starting in Oakland, Smiff is a moron who will probably get another year of starting handed to him on a silver platter but will ultimately fail and Manuel proved that he can get consistently injured and be mediocre - it doesn't sound like he inspired much confidence his first year in Buffalo. So right now there are I believe 5 total quoatbacks starting. Buffalo and the Jets may very well draft another QB early this year.

By all accounts the only black quarterback that seems to be gaining any traction this year as a top pick is Teddy Sewerwater. Tajh *****, Logan "perennially overrated" Thomas and Morris all stunk it up pretty good at the Senior Bowl showing they do not have the ability required to play the position in the NFL.

Not sure if this a purge article but Hatie Smiff seems to be ok with replacing the best rookie QB in the league last season: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-says-the-bucs-have-to-consider-a-qb-at-no-7/

Glennon was 100times better than both Geno Smiff and EJ Manuel yet he is the only one that seems to have his job on the line. No agenda here at all

Leonardfan,
you might be correct; however, I think this is mere "poker playing" as teams and general managers start wheeling and dealing for draft picks and free agents. Or probably in this case a little "vendetta" by Hatie on behalf of his new def. coordinator Leslie Frazier. Frazier had a big falling out with the Vikings GM, Rick Spielman last year and was upset after not getting an extension after going 10-6 in 2012. Where am I going with this? The Vikings GM, Rick Spielman is rumored to be trying to move up or down in the draft in order to get a QB. If Tampa says they might be drafting a QB at #7, it will make any calculations the Vikings make, who draft at #8, more difficult. (That is just my 2 cents).

Former Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer says he would never recruit a White Quarterback

"I've always said I'd never recruit a white quarterback. The only way I'd ever recruit a white quarterback to play for me is if his mom and daddy would both have to be black, and that's the only way I would do it. My quarterback is a quarterback-fullback offense - how the wishbone was. I'd have to have a Jamelle Holieway, J.C. Watts and Thomas Lott (former Oklahoma quarterbacks who are all black). Those guys are gonna be my quarterbacks - great runners, great ball carriers and be able to pass. Those guys could throw and run."
