The purpose of this thread is to discuss manned missions to space, including those from NASA, Russia, and private companies such as SpaceX, Boeing, etc.

http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-092122a-soyuz-ms22-crew-swap-launch.html

Yesterday, Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, launched mission MS-22, the latest in their regular series of manned Soyuz missions to the International Space Station. On board were two Russian cosmonauts, Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin, along with American astronaut Frank Rubio. Rubio was on board the Soyuz mission as part of a new Russian-American space exchange program, which will have an American astronaut on Russian spacecraft and a Russian cosmonaut on American spacecraft built by private company SpaceX. SpaceX's next manned mission to the International Space Station is scheduled to launch on October 3 with NASA astronauts Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina, and Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata.

With all the bitterness from the Russia-Ukraine war and the extreme hostility towards all things Russian from the controlled "mainstream" media, it's nice to see positivity and cooperation between Russia and the U.S. Frank Rubio stated,

"I think this crew swap really represents the ongoing effort of the tremendous teams on both sides and amazing people that made this happen. I think it's important when we're at moments of possible attention elsewhere that human spaceflight and exploration — something that both agencies are incredibly passionate about — remains a form of diplomacy and partnership where we can find common ground and keep achieving things together."

Inspiring words, right up there with, "We came in peace for all mankind."

It's also interesting to note that while the Russian government and private American company SpaceX are both successfully launching humans into space, NASA has failed to send any humans into space on its own government spacecraft since 2011, when the Space Shuttle program ended. Since then, they've been hitching rides with the Russians and SpaceX. Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk can do what Joe Biden cannot.

NASA's Artemis program, which is supposed to send humans into space and eventually to the moon, has been plagued by delays. The unmanned Artemis 1 test mission, which was originally supposed to launch in 2016, has been delayed for six years and counting. Launch attempts on August 29 and September 3 of this year were scrubbed due to flaws and leaks on the rocket boosters. The next attempt is scheduled for September 27.

Completely coincidentally and having no relation to its delays and failures, the Artemis program is fully diversity-obsessed and woke. Of its first 18 selected astronauts, only 3 are White men. NASA has gone from "We came in peace for all mankind" to "We come in the name of social justice war and cancel culture for only the chosen fake-oppressed groups." What a sad decline.

Just some interesting observations on space exploration on the right and wrong paths.

I’m a big fan of the “space” program. However I wholeheartedly endorse the private sector taking over the burden on this. Not only shouldn’t the taxpayers pay for what is essentially a non essential service, but the current state of our government couldn’t tell the difference between a black hole and a hole in ground. Imagine how badly they would botch a space program with affirmative action instead of merit.

Let the Russians and Chinese do it since they don’t play the same silly games that our clown show of a government does.

That's too true. Affirmative action is the touch of death to anything. It's being more concerned with bureaucratic red tape procedure than the actual work itself, which I see a lot of beyond just affirmative action these days. Some drone in some cubicle somewhere is much more concerned with procedures than what was actually done.

Might want to read Paul Kersey’s book “whitey in the moon”. It does a good job going through the joys of vibrancy in the space program.

I never questioned the moon landings before but now I’m more doubtful. Given the state of technology then it seems pretty unlikely in my view but I also don’t know if it’s knowable one way or other.

Anyway if this topic interests you I think that book will as well, and it’s a quick read

Good thread and initial post!

It’s nice to see goodwill and collaboration between Russia and (White) Americans. I’ve said this a million times before and I’ll say it again, that Russians are our brothers and should be natural allies to a White, Christian America. Of course, the (((regimes))) who run this country are hostile foreigners who hate both of our peoples.

Also, it’s no surprise that diversity NASA can’t even launch a rocket. Any successful mission past or future will be a “White thing”. And when man does finally get to the moon (sorry I don’t think it happened in the 1960s), it’ll be a monumental achievement made capable by White intellect and ingenuity.

What do Russia, China, and SpaceX all have in common? They all hire the best people for the job, without regard to diversity quotas, affirmative action, or special interest crybaby groups. Only NASA is burdened with the ball and chain of wokeness.

The Chinese space program's astronauts are all Chinese (as they should be). The Russian space program's cosmonauts are all White (again, as they should be). Neither country feels the need to burden itself with tokens from the Magical Race. Nor do they feel the need for mandatory 50/50 gender diversity (Anna Kikina is Russia's only currently active female cosmonaut). A stunt like a homosexual astronaut displaying a rainbow flag in space (something that NASA would love to do, if they can actually get into space again) would be thought of by Russia and China as what it is, a complete joke. (SpaceX does not have astronauts of its own; they are builders of space launch systems and shuttlecraft). For NASA to have only 3 of 18 astronauts in its Artemis program to be White men is a huge slap in the face to all the White men in history who were giants and pioneers in space exploration, from Wernher von Braun to Neil Armstrong and everyone in between.

In the latest news, Hurricane Ian has delayed the launch dates of both the SpaceX Crew-5 mission and the Artemis 1 mission. The private SpaceX launch has been delayed by one day, from October 3 to October 4. NASA's Artemis 1 launch has been delayed for two months, from a planned launch date of today (September 27) to "sometime in November."

Private company SpaceX just launched their sixth manned mission to the International Space Station.

I was watching some online video of the launch and the associated preparations and I noticed that in the control rooms - not just SpaceX's, but NASA's as well - almost all the people sitting at the computer terminals, the ones who do the hard, high IQ, tedious grunt work to make the mission succeed, were White, with a few Asians sprinkled in. I didn't see one member of the Magical Race.

NASA claims to be committed to diversity, but when it comes to human lives being at stake, they're not quite ready to sacrifice safety at the diversity altar.

Wow. Arguably the first military expenditure in 60 years that increased the US’s level of security.

Stunning they pulled it off

Today, NASA has launched its most powerful ever rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida.

After literally years of delays, Artemis I finally gets off the ground. This unmanned mission will orbit the Moon and return to Earth. Artemis II (a manned mission that will orbit the Moon) and Artemis III (a manned mission that will land on the Moon) are supposed to follow in 2024 and 2025 respectively, but given the mission's history, I'm skeptical about those dates being met.

I'm happy that we're finally going back to the Moon but there's not much of a "we," since as I mentioned earlier only 3 out of the first 18 Artemis astronauts are White men. Cancel culture is everywhere, even in space exploration.

It’s an interesting technical achievement but still don’t see any value in it. I’d rather pay for this than the free school lunches for any kid that can fog a mirror program, but still.

Feels like a nothing burger to me.

Much better than giving over six billion dollars of the taxpayers money to wealthy, racist Israel every year.

Much better than spending trillions on the second war in Iraq, supposedly over weapons of mass destruction that didn't exist, but really a war for Israel.

Much better than giving 65 billion dollars of taxpayers money this year for weapons to aid to Zelensky, in his war which has white Gentiles killing white Gentiles, while he and his (((oligarch))) friends hide away.

Yeah it’s better than those things.
Still think it’s a waste but at least interesting technical achievement.

The fact that none of us have wanted any of those complete wastes of money above highlights the futility in getting mad about it.

I'm a proud white man but it has always and will always be fake. We live in an enclosed system. We cannot go to space.

White lightning. I don’t think we went to the moon anymore either but I don’t get the enclosed system part. If the system were closed how would satellites function?

I think if we wanted to go the moon we could, I just don’t find it an effective use of our scarce resources though plenty of people disagree.

Millions of people around the world are waking up to the truth. Satellites are not how they say they are. They are in our atmosphere.
Look up and research Satalloons. NASA and other companies all around the world use weather balloons with solar panels and the
satellite tracking unit all connected to the balloon. They float high up in the atmosphere. They also use gps or ground positioning service.
To this day when I go hiking or camping my phone doesn't work in so many areas yet we talked on a landline to the moon. So comical. I
respect everyone here but so many people get angry about the truth. Most people would rather believe in the lies as they don't want
their false reality questioned. They can't handle it. We have been lied to about everything. Not just space.

For example oil is infinite. It's renewable and it will never run out. That doesn't make money. They need to price guage. Nuclear Weapons
are not dangerous from the radiation, only the explosion. In Las Vegas in the 1960's they used to have people go the casinos and sitting
facing the desert where they set off the nuclear bombs. People could see the mushroom clouds in the distance. It never changed the
weather and no radiation to people just 50 miles away. Totally safe. It's in the records with videos but people don't research anything. Also dinosaurs did not exist like they say and oil does not come from them. Just a few of 1000's of lies we are taught as truth including that
the earth is a round ball. The earth is a circular disc with the ice wall surrounding us. There is no edge that you fall of. The firmament is
above us and we cannot exit this enclosed system. We can only go so high in a plane of a rocket. Your not allowed to go to Antartica to
hide the truth of the fimament and too many other things to bring up. International treaty and we can never fly over there or go there.

You’re wrong. We live in a simulation so the reality is whatever the simulator wants it to be. For you it can be one thing for someone else something different. You are just describing your view of the simulation. In fact you don’t exist at all you’re just part of my simulation. However the simulation can be changed at anytime so you may actually be right.

I got news for you. God is real and every knee will bow before Jesus. The flood was real. God made everything it is not man made. Now the
illusion in the history books, science books, tv, newpapers, magazines, etc, etc. is how they push their man made version of lies. So that part
is the simulation to pull humanity away from the creator. Again no disrespect to anyone here. I love all of you guys but I was put on earth by
God and so was everything here that is natural. I will not lie about any of the this. Like Ripley said, Believe It or Not.

Explain the difference between the God you mention and a controller of a simulation.

Did God create a simulated universe for us? The answer is, No!” Are we living in a glorified computer simulation? No! Our Creator made this universe. Someday He will destroy it and make a new one. While the universe, our world, its surroundings, and our bodies are all temporary, in contrast our spirits are eternal. Our bodies will change from this present life into immortal bodies at death and will live forever (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15). Now try that with the characters in some electronic game! If you destroy or delete the game will the characters still exist?

God does not control every action. We are responsible for our sins.We are not puppets. Our sins are real. You are responsible for your sins! So, are you going to heaven and will you live with our Creator forever after you die and leave this temporary world? 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 tells us how we can live with Him. It says,

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NASB)
Those who believe that Christ died and was resurrected have their sins forgiven. Those who truly believe in Christ will submit themselves to Him. Those who do this will live forever with their Creator in heaven. Those who reject Christ will be thrown into hell (John 3:16; Romans 6:23). The Creator urges you to believe in Christ (Romans 10:13).

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Hebrews 10:9-10 (NASB)

But if God created a universe then it's a simulation to him, as He is not effected by the universe but controls it. It seems real to you and me because we are part of it. He can change anything at any time and set whatever rules he wishes including requiring belief in Jesus for salvation.

If mankind is essentially starting over to try to land on the Moon again despite astonishing advances in technology since the 1960s (I won't delve into the obvious common sense implications of that), after reading this article, which is actually optimistic, I'd say someone will have to live to be at least 500 years old to see men living on Mars:
