Not to be redundant, but I'm still in awe of how times have changed. I looked at a copy of Ring Magazine today to see 7 of the top 10 ten heavies are white. I still remember the old days when I'd get all excited when there was one white guy in the top ten.

And this list doesn't even include Povetkin or Vitali Klitschko.

Times have changed. Boxing goes in cycles. There were cycles of Irish,Jewish,Italian,black,Latin and now white fighters again, mostly from Europe. Whats irratating is the MSM acts like it does not exists. This should be a front page story on the once respectable magazine "Sports Illustrated". I remember around 1997 they had a story why whites could not excell in football, basketball and boxing. The story sumed it up as whites not having the "fast twitch muscel fiber groups". I knew this was nonsense then and it has been to be proven now. Look at the white stars in the NBA and now whites dominating from middleweight up. The white men have been kept down mostly by the NFL GMs and the most dispicable, the white head coaches.

Hopefully the Pats going 19 and 0 and winning the superbowl will have positive effect on the NFL and start changing the NFL rosters to reflect more deserving whites. Until this happeans the NFL will never get me to pay for a regular season ticket!

It's become even better since then. You can check the weekly Ring rankings on line. Now Povetkin has replaced Byrd, so eight of the top 10 heavyweights of the Ring Magazine rankings are white. The only negroes on there now are Sam Peter and Tony Thompson.

Last month's edition had Floyd Mayweather on the cover, but on the new issue's cover, there's a photo of Kelly Pavlik!

I remember telling a friend I knew that the heavyweight division would be dominated by White/Caucasian fighters around 2003(this was back in 99/2000), because all of the super heavyweight world amateur titles were being won by Eastern Europeans. This guy nearly laughed himself off his bar stool while we were watching Lennox Lewis fight Holyfield in their dreadful series. I was off by a few years but good things come to those that wait.....

Yes I remember Sports Illustrated doing a cover story on the vanishing white athlete. Genetics have never been a part of the problem it's all cultural. In fact I think White American fighters maybe on an upswing as the White lower middle class and working class have been hallowed out by years of government neglect and following the corporate agenda. Kelly Pavlik might have been a steel worker or a pencil pusher in a office if Ohio hadn't had the tough times of the Reagan years, through GW Bush years.

Social Safety net, unions, social programs this all sounds like socialistic nonsense. What ever happeaned to studying/working hard and creating your lot in life and rely on yourself instead of some inefficient goverment "program" or some "safety net". I can not figure out why white people would want today's democratic party to rule. The last great democratic president was John F. Kennedy. If he were alive today he would be a republican. He believed in a strong defense and low taxes. He did not believe in taxing hard working people to fiance "social programs" for people who continuously make bad decisions or are just lazy. Do you want a pension,or god for bid disability pension if you get sick and can't work. Who do you think brought those programs in? I have been trade unionist my whole life and I will tell you that even management at government institutions look to screw over the working man. I can tell you the history of work in North America and Western Europe and isn't pretty until trade unions fought for basic workers rights which are being stripped so that North American businesses can become leaner and meaner....

WIR my intent was not to upset you. I am also in a union, I pay substantial dues for the pension I will recieve later in life. I also pay for private insurance in case I become disabled. At the end of the day I try not to be a burden to my fellow citizens. I believe if everyone had this thought process we wouldn't be taxed at the high rate we are now. If the Dems come into power that tax rate will go up higher. I will be damned if I am going to pay for universal health care for everyone and not to mention all of the illegals who are invading this country.

Capitalism at times can be harsh, but it weeds out weak companies and forces people/companies to do better. And better means not carrying the irresponsible or lazy in this country. I believe charity would cover the deadbeats,dysfunctional and lazy. Charity organizations would be the safety net that I could live with and contribute to if I want to. But please do force me to enable people who don't want to improve thier lot. I hope I made myself clear.

Both make their obligatory junkets to Israel and both are funded by AIPAC and both have the same "neo con" scriptwriters. Seriously, has anyone here even seen a single mention of boxing on ESPN other than Mayweather or other big-name black fighters? You know, the few that still actually have a championship belt (maybe 130 lbs or super-featherweight or something irrelevent?).

I like most everybody on this website am extremely happy with the success white boxers are having, especially in the heavweight division. I never thought this day would ever come. I have been let down so many times. Remember Gerry Cooney? I thought I would need therapy after that fiasco. I just have one problem with the current state of the heavyweight division. They are not American. I know things have changed, and yesterday's enemies are today's allies, but I still don't trust the Russians and neither should any of you. The former Soviet Union was our biggest enemy and probably would still turn against us if they had not been broken up. They are a bunch of unchristian people bent on monopolizing the world. I love the fact we have white world champions, and I will always pull for them. I just wish they were white Americans. We need more boxers like Kelly Pavlik, but I guess anything is better than it was.

White americans are stupider and more liberal than ever in today's society (I didn't know it was possible, but it is). White males in this country have no sense of race, culture, or manhood in any way (not that other races do either). That is, the unskeptical morons believe everything and never question "authority" or what a newscast or commercial or sportscast tells them is true.

Instead of defining ourselves, we dress up in suits and discuss greedy political candidates, selfish athletes, and phony musicians, all while pondering how much more PC would could get to avoid being labeled a racist.

I'm fine with the current state of boxing, in fact, I'm overjoyed. White males are tricked into supressing every violent urge that it's not surprising that we can't have white american champions.

I love the fact we have white world champions, and I will always pull for them. I just wish they were white Americans. We need more boxers like Kelly Pavlik, but I guess anything is better than it was.

Some of the most exciting heavyweights right now are actually white Americans:

Joey Abell - Don't miss watching him Friday night on Showtime! All his 17 wins are by way of KO.

Mike Mollo - Very aggressive and exciting to watch, he's another KO artist.

Joe Mesi - His 35-0 record speaks for itself. An injury held him back from achieving great things, but he's made a comeback this year.

There are several others who are worth keeping an eye on, such as Adam Richards, Michael Marrone, Ty Fields, and JD Chapman.

There are some decent prospects, but Brian Minto is still the best white american boxer, so there's a long way to go before white americans are back in the mix.
