That's got to be the miss of the season.

Earlier I saw a clip of a horrible shot from inside the box that went miles over the bar by a player in a light blue jersey (similar to Man City's) but I didn't see his face and couldn't make out which team - the footage was from behind so I couldn't see the sponsor name. The British commentator referred to him as "the Moroccan-born Belgian". Anyone see it?

i didn't see that one, but if you want another recent miss in belgian football:

luyindula, the new york red bull's new striker:

[video=youtube_share;S-5rNlIJftw]http://youtu.be/S-5rNlIJftw[/video]

he played only 1 match in the last 2 years, so it's hard to find footage of him
this is a summary of 45 minutes with luyindula as a striker in europa league

Classic tow birds with one stone stuff:

The defender who makes the poor pass is Kyle Walker,a turkish-black or something. The striker with the appalling miss is Kenwyne Jones,a player who transferred for 13m!

Arouna Kone has been around for a very long time (he's probably much older than he pretends to be)
i remember long time ago lyon played against PSV eindoven and there was this black striker with fake blond fair who was missing sitters left and right
it was him
then last year he scored a respectable amount of goals for levante (where he has been replaced by the "fastest player in the world", the nigerian obafetimbi martins)
great to see that he's as clownish as ever

walcott wanting to play in the center forward position:

[video=dailymotion;xw6ya2]http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xw6ya2_walcott_sport#.UO_9ZmfWplM[/video]

he'll flop because he doesn't have what is needed to be a good center forward

before an arsenal game (it was just after the match in which walcott scored 3 goals) an english commentator said that walcott might score against poor defences thanks to his speed, but when ot gets thougher, against better defences which don't allow much space, his speed gets useless and he doesn't have the skills to score against that kind of team
in that match, walcott did nothing

Both the misses are from the same match,Tottenham vs. Sunderland. The first is Ade-ba-whore missing from a yard out,the second is Defoe needing 5 minutes to set himself,to take a shot from point blank range. Also Mignolet made a great, great save. He's among the top five keepers in the PL right now,if you ask me.

Tottenham is really coal black now, with Bale,Llloris and Verthongen the only whites in their starting eleven..And if Bale goes I bet Willian or some wog will take his place. But what else can you expect when this ugly JEW runs tottenham:

in a big club scams like this are exposed quickly

To be frank the miss isn't "horrid",but surely an England international who is expecting a new 100,000 deal should atleast hit the target.Oh,I forgot,we lowered England's standards for filth like these. Also how someone will pay him that much is beyond me....that's "black privilege".

The media will never admit that Walcott is sub-standard...they still say that he's only 24 and will develop into a world-class player!

The African Cup of Tribes starts today. I'm sure there will be a treasure chest full of black misses. I don't know if I have time to watch it but if anyone comes across any classic misses, please post them here. Always makes for a good laugh

BTW, didn't they just have this African Cup last year? Are they doing this thing every year now?

From Wikipedia:
"In May 2010, it was announced that the tournament would be moved to odd-numbered years from 2013. This will mean the tournament will not take place in the same year as the World Cup. It also means there will be two tournaments within twelve months in January 2012[SUP][11][/SUP] (co-hosted byGabon and Equatorial Guinea) and January 2013 (hosted by South Africa)"

I actually like to watch it. It sometimes feels like a human zoo.

Gervinho's miss vs. Blackburn.

This guy deserves his own thread. He should be in Castefootball's hall of fame(the only hall of fame he will ever get in).

Swing and a miss: Gervinho holds his head in his hands after missing a gilt-edged chance
Gervinho was as poor as the fans had feared, rolling a 43rd- minute chance a yard wide when the goal was open

:icon_lol:

and just to make you realise how bad these clowns are, this guy was a good player in ligue 1, and he was one of the best players at the african cup of nations
he didn't have a reputation for being a clown
i'll let you use your imagination to picture what it can look like to watch the real clowns of the french league during 90 minutes
now it got a little bit better, but a few years ago it was unbelievable
i saw them 2-3 times live at the stadium while my local club was in 1st division, that year our club became the worst ligue 1 club ever with 11 defeats in a row from the first match of the season - only manchester united did worse in 1930

i'll just mention the worst striker i ever saw: PIERRE BOYA :behindsofa:
we are talking about a striker with 0 goals in the whole season in ligue 1 :icon_eek:
then my club was relegated in secondd ivision, where boya scored 1 goal in the whole season :icon_eek:

pierre-boya.jpg

just a look at his wikipedia page:

Afterwards, he was unable to find back of the net for a year and a half. He finally ended his goalscoring drought on 8 April 2006, scoring a brace in a league match against FK Voždovac.[SUP][4][/SUP] In the meantime, Boya also recorded another dubious achievement in the 2005–06 UEFA Champions League crucial qualifying match versus FC Artmedia Bratislava. After missing several clear chances through the two matches, he failed to convert a decisive penalty in the shootout that would have qualified Partizan for the group stage.[SUP][5][/SUP]

he played in lebanon, in france, serbia, rumania, austria...he's in denmark now

I missed the first half of Inter v Spurs but during the break I did catch the TV analyst say if he played for Spurs he'd be angry at Adebayor for some miss. Apparently he had a "Niang moment" in the first half - ie a great chance to score and end the tie early on...but he failed.

After Inter won 3-0 in 90 minutes, thanks in part to a William Gallas own goal, they barely came out for the extra time and immediately conceded a goal. Adebayor sort of makes up for his early miss by scoring a tap in.:icon_mad:

I was going to mention this the other day when Barca were playing Milan but I'll say it now. I really hate UEFA's stupid away goal rule for extra time. I understand it for 90 minutes but continuing to have it in extra time after the second leg gives the team that plays away in that second leg a huge advantage. So basically Spurs have had 120 minutes playing with the away goal advantage whereas Inter had only 90 minutes. If the Barca v Milan match had ended 2-0 after 90 minutes Milan would have had a similar advantage going into extra time simply because of the luck of the draw.

Does the higher seeded team get the 2nd leg at home? I don't know how they determine that in the final 8 or semis.

It happens so rarely that they probably won't change it. Even teams winning on away goals without extra time is rare. Barca beat Chelsea on away goals in 2009.

Maybe they should do away with away goals. I don't think they have it in the playoffs in England for promotion.
