Hey Frederic, I have some questions for you. What is the name of the first song in "Black Defenders - A Great Start" (sounds like a Portuguese song) and what is the name of the second song in Black Defenders - Part 4 (the African Cup of Nations video)?

Thx!

yes, it's in portuguese, the singer is brazilian:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtT93GM16I4
he is very popular amongst young girls

and the other song is french, from the 80's:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl-ZyoQFk7c
altough i'm too young to have lived during this era, i love movies and music from the 80's
i also used this one recently, by stephanie de monaco, princess of monaco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Stéphanie_of_Monaco)

 This could also go into the horrible black defenders thread as #22 did nothing on either of the 2 dangerous crosses.

Another day, another "pearl" by Robinho in Milan-Barca:

Robinho is becoming a habitue` on these pages. Milan's coach Allegri is madly in love with Robinho and Emanuelson, while Maxi Lopez gets his playing time with a drop dispenser...

this miss will sure cost ac milan the qualification, there is no way they can win in camp nou
this was predictable
maxi lopez never plays, it would be interesting to count how many minutes he played for ac milan, it would be around 180 minutes i believe, coppa italia included

in a very important match between rennes and lyon (both teams wanted to qualify for the champions league)
the "norwegian" tettey, who plays for rennes, missed an open goal while his team was leading 1-0
in the end rennes did a draw 1-1 and have few chance to qualify to champions league now

as a bonus, a miss by ronaldinho for flamerda: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I0ST4YgFCc

LOL

I just started watching football seriously about 6-7 years ago. I don't understand why blacks are so poor in football? Does it have to do with low intelligence, being too impulsive around the goal? Were they always this bad or is this just a recent phenomenon?

He even resembles Pele a little bit..

For a classic goal scorer with killer instinct you must keep your cool and not get excited when the goal keeper or defenders are out to get you. Blacks are simply too impulsive in this type of situations. If you see any "top 10 misses" type compilations on youtube, you will almost always see a disproportionately high number of black players in them.

For a middlefielder / playmaker role (I would say the most demanding role) you have to be extremely intelligent, have the sese of time/space, the view of the game at all time, of where your teammates are placed etc. Also, pass the ball not to early and not to late, make the right decisions all the time, have good endurance and excellent technique with the ball. It's a role waaay beyond their possibilities. I would say in this case they are lacking the intelligence and also the touch and technique with the ball which was never their forte`... I do not know any black player successful in the playmaker role.

For a defender, they are lacking the discipline, the patience and also the cool (the presence of spirit) in critical moments (see the "really bad defenders" thread). They seem to get easily distracted in this role. Some may perform OK on the side as fullbacks/wingbacks where speed is important (see for example Marcelo in Real Madrid) but *never* as central defenders where reliability is paramount and even a single mistake can cost you dearly.

For a goalkeeper, they lack the grace, discipline, focus and gymnastics it takes to be a good GK (have you ever seen a Negro gymnast?).

As in American Football or Basketball, (big West-African type) Negroes are good at one thing and one thing only - in athletic scenarios when they have to be big and give off a lot of energy in a short time (sprints, jumps etc.). So, about the only place where they can perform half decent in soccer is a physical forward "with pace" (fast) which constantly needs to be supplied with playable balls from white teammates. The Drogba or Adebayor types.
This type of players thrives especially in the English Premier League with their physical style of play and relatively mediocre defending, but gets gutted in leagues with strong and organized defenses. See for example Djibril Cissé. When playing in Lazio in the Italian Serie A (one of the defensively most competent leagues in the world), he only managed to score 1 goal in 18 games and after 1 season he was out. As soon as he came back to the Premier League (Queens Park Rangers) he scored 3 goals in 5 games. This (among other things) is why PL is so peach-black compared with Serie A or Spanish La Liga, for example.

In short, their impulsive nature, lack of intelligence and discipline makes them a poor match for this sport.

blacks playing soccer is a recent phenomenon

as for the reasons why they are bad, i think it's partly because they lack concentration and are too impulsives (that can sometimes be an advantages, when you try to get passed a defender for example, see ronaldinho)
so they are bad goal scorers and bad defenders for all the reasons porthos gave

blacks are also very un-skilled, partly because they lack coordination, and because the european clubs buy them because of their suposed superior physique and not for their skills (i have to say that i don't agree with that, as giroud for example is one of the most athletic players i ever saw, cristiano ronaldo also comes to mind)

the ramires miss since it has been deleted (damn UEFA!)

I'm watching the Chicago Fire vs Seattle match right now. Chicago's Patrick Nyarko (from Ghana) had one of the funniest misses of the MLS season. He had a great through ball played to him and found himself alone with the goalkeeper. He took a swing and completely missed the ball (like Maurice Edu) This was a true gem. I'll see if I can find highlights.

Edit: LOL...this game gets even funnier. Chicago's Sean Johnson (the same U.S. U-23 keeper that gave up the winning goal against El Salvador in Olympic qualifying) just gave up a complete howler of a goal. A slow free kick came into his box and instead of catching it or parying it wide, he tapped it right to an oncoming forward for an easy goal. Some of the stupidest keeping I've ever seen.

a funny match in french ligue 1:

http://rutube.ru/tracks/5588198.html

it was a very important match for caen (who play in blue) because they tried to avoid relegation
they were dominating, but their black strikers showed pathetic finishing
then theubeaux, a french and white central defender, showed how it's done
very beautiful goal

This was fun - even in Normandy where I would not expect to see so many blacks, the team looked very African, including a couple of really horrendous misses. Caen's number 20 was pretty good. Is he Arabic?
Which is the whitest team in Ligue 1?

Yes, I am curious about that as well Frederic. What are the whitest and blackest teams in Ligue 1? And what teams play the most African (non French born blacks) players?

Caen's number 20 was pretty good. Is he Arabic?

yes, he is partly algerian
it was funny to see him creating all these goal-scoring oportunities and all the black guys missing comically

Which is the whitest team in Ligue 1?

Yes, I am curious about that as well Frederic. What are the whitest and blackest teams in Ligue 1? And what teams play the most African (non French born blacks) players?

the whitest team is probably paris saint germain, they usually have 8 white starters
but they have a lot of players, so it changes a lot from match to match

lille also has a lot of white players, some very good (hazard, debuchy, nolan roux, with landreau and pedretti ect)

the corsican teams are bad (because they have no mobey) but they are usually the teams with the less african imports, because corsicans are very racist

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
now, since you ask for it, here are the blackest teams: (beware, there will be some depressing numbers)

every team in france is incredibly black
but the blackest team currently probably are auxerre and nancy
look at the variety of flags at auxerre:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJ_Auxerre#Current_squad

not to mention the reserve players: Mohamed Kaba, Alpha-Balia Barry, Félix Gomis, N'Vazoumana Kourekama, Trésor Nyamwisi :scared:

nancy and auxerre were the only teams in france (and in europe, to my knowledge) to have a starting 11 with only 1 white player this season
their names (nancy and auxerre) are associated with mediocrity for the french public
towards the end of the season, they whitened though
nancy became a LOT better since the local legend sebastien puygrenier (white, former zenith st petersbourg player) came back to save the club from relegation

the teams from brittany also have a lot of african-born blacks (while brittany is the part of france where there are the less blacks)
rennes for example started teams with 2 white players this season (the goal keeper and a fullback, danzé)
again, have a look at the variety of the flags:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stade_Rennais_F.C.#Current_squad
( the "norwegian" player was born in ghana, he is featured in this thread, just a few posts above)

now with rennes, we are really going far: there are only 4 white players in the whole team (about 30 players)
this is even worse than beveren when they where closed

brest (brittany again) is very black also

then you have marseille, who has a lot of blacks but they also have a few good whites and they can start a match with 4-5 non-black players sometimes

then you have (had) some clubs from the north of france who imported a lot of african players: le mans and lens
both are currently in second division
their teams were so goofy and untalented
lens whitened (like most teams when they get relegated, because more local players play)
but le mans is still horrible, they are incredible for a second division team:
they have only 6 white players on the whole team (again, around 30 players)
they have 2 players from haiti, a chinese, moussa maazou the nigerien (from niger, not nigeria) who was elected "ballon de plomb" this year (same as ballon d'or but for the worst player in the world)
their goalkeeper is a gabonese who played in el salvador and tbilissi (georgia)
they also have players from cameroon, guinea, central africa republic....
they are the kind of teams associated with academies in africa

these numbers i believe (whites ranging from 5 -sometimes even less- to 10 white players out of the whole pro team) are unheard of in the rest of the "white" world

but the best ligue 1 players are almost all whites, which is incredible (giroud, hazard, pastore...)
the players with most assists (menez for example), the goal scorers (giroud, hazard, lisandro)
and the french national team is more than 50% white
and paris saint germain, the whitest team, is by far the best team in french ligue 1, even if they don't win the title this year

Yet more numerical data confirming poor finishing skills by Blacks.
Below is the current list of top scorers in Europe in 2011-2012 season. This list is used for the "golden shoe" award, given by the French magazine "L'Equipe" every year. It is awarded using the number of goals scored, but also using a coeficient based on the difficulty of the competition the scorer is playing in (the "golden shoe" score on the right side). The list is ordered by this "golden shoe" score.

http://eurorivals.net/top-scorers.html

Messi is way ahead of everybody with an exceptional, almost superhuman 50 goals in the Spanish Primera Liga and 100 points (highest score and number of goals ever). Cristiano Ronaldo is second with 44 goals in the same league (88 points), Robin Van Persie third with 30 goals in the English Premier League etc.
There are no blacks in the first 10. There are no blacks in the first 20. The first black we find at number 23 (the Brazilian Wesley - 23 goals in the Romanian league). The next one is Seydou Doumbia on spot number 28 with 23 goals in the Russian league.
In addition, in the top 50 we have:
34.Yakubu Aiyegbeni - 16 goals in English premier league
35.Demba Ba - 16 goals in English premier league
43.Emmanuel Adebayor - 15 goals in English premier league
44.Arouna Kone - 15 goals in Spanish league

So we have black top scorers in the Romanian and Russian leagues, hardly the best competitions around. Then we have 3 good black scorers in EPL, which is a great competition, but also a competition with almost 30% blacks, mostly strikers. So we would expect many more candidates from here. Instead, the top 3 spots in EPL belong to Van Persie, Rooney and Aguero - all Whites. In addition, EPL is a competition where defending, in my opinion, is not top notch. Finally, we have a good black scorer in a Spanish Primera which is not as great competition in quality if we exclude the top 2 teams (Real and Barcelona), and where defending is also not stratospheric. In any case, this score pales compared with 50 goals from Messi, 44 from Ronaldo in the same league. Not surprisingly, no black top scorer in the top 150 spots for the Italian Serie A, the best defensive league on the continent, in my opinion.
Conclusion - the mith of the Black "super athlete", a mith imported to Europe from the US and artificially grafted on European Football with years of relentless propaganda is and remains just that - a mith.

great list!
very impressive
there are some mistakes in the list though
their goalscorers table for portugal league is not updated
oscar cardozo should be in this list with 19 goals

blacks fail at scoring goals, it's what i thought while i was doing these tables in the "white goal scorers" thread
here is the latest one:
http://www.castefootball.us/forums/...rers-2011-2012?p=244835&viewfull=1#post244835
blacks are totally under-represented compared with the high number of black strikers we have in europe, as your list points out

for example i counted all the strikers in french ligue 1 at the start of the season, including the ones who never play (121 strikers)
so 60% of the strikers in french ligue 1 are blacks (20% are whites, and 20% are arab or other)
again that's the kind of stats you only see in france
yet as you can see in the white goal-scorers list, whites dominate and blacks are ridiculously under-represented at the top of the goal-scorers table

this has been an incredible year in this regard
