Thanks for sharing. My initial thought reading the article, and seeing offers from better programs including Iowa, was what a stupid decision. However I also learned something else of value in that read. The only other 2020 commitment is also a young White man, PF Dean Reiber. So maybe Rutgers is actually attempting to build a winner and something worth watching?

Looks like a step in the right direction. They've got nothing to lose as they have been downright awful since joining The Big Ten.

ever hear of Tommy Murr? he’s a pure scorer in the class of 2020, committed to play at Lipscomb, and is about to break the state of Alabama’s all-time high school scoring record.

he’s averaging 48 points-per-game as a senior, and in the clip below he dropped an “easy” 51.

Will Baker was a highly rated C from the class of 2019. His start at Texas has been a nightmare. Not even averaging one point a game a bench scrub for now who knows if Baker will live up to his billing but so far things look grim for him. Could be the caste coaching staff.

Meanwhile Michigan just signed 2020 C Hunter Dickinson another old school big brawny center. HC Juwan Howard should be applauded for bringing in top white talent like Franz Wagner, Dickinson is a top 40 player. Hopefully his career gets off to a better start than Baker who was also a top 40 ranked player.

Notes on the 2020 class boys and girls. First Hunter Dickinson just missed being selected to the McDonalds All American game. The class overall is thin in white talent but NC commit big man and the best white player in the class future pro Walker Kessler was selected. PF Dawson Garcia was also selected but is he clearly all white?

One bit of good news from the 2020 class. Florida swingman commit Samson Ruzhentzev lit it up at a recent tourney and now is moving up the rankings perhaps into the top 50. Just the type of white prospect that I like. Not enough of these type of white players. At 6'6" plus and being a supreme athlete Samson can also shoot the lights out so Florida is getting a good one. Lot of potential.

Now don't faint but the Girls McDonalds All American game features 9 white girls. To say this is unusual is an understatement. Almost ten but I think that Goforth gal is mixed. Her dad is white but I don't think her mother is white?

Anyway leading the way is generational talent G Paige Bueckers who is heading for UCONN. She will be joined by a gorgeous PG out of Croatia Nika Muhl who won't be at the game because she is a foreigner.

Also tall and swift big time talent Cameron Brink who has been a friend of Stephen Curry and his family since she was a small child I kid you not, will be there and she is heading to Stanford. So all in all a big time class for 2020 for the white girls. See below the lineup.

This kid Baylor Hebb is the next Tyler Herro. He may even end up being even better. The kid can do everything and never backs down from anyone! Love to follow these high school studs in both
basketball and football from across the country. You can see the really good ones play every game for free on youtube. It's amazing. Gotta love technology.

Is the Samson kid an American? If not he does not count in my book. Where are all the good white players OUR country used to produce? Foreign white players piss me off because it shows that white athletes can play, but our people have been too discouraged by racist coaches and recruiting coordinators to play the game anymore. Europeans and Australians don't labor under the racism of coaches of their own race so they play and develop like Americans would and could if they weren't betrayed by their own race.

No Samson is not American. But I like to keep things nice and simple. Basically if a player is a honky he gets a check in the YES department. If he is not white then he gets a check in the NO department. Things are barren out there and I will take great white athletes wherever they come from. I root for foreign white players just as much as the homegrown variety.

That said yes there are disturbing sociological reasons why white American basketball players are in short order and I wish those conditions would change.

Trey Phipps is a 6’2” senior at Booker T Washington High School in Tulsa, OK. He’s the #3 ranked player in the state, and has committed to Oklahoma. His dad, Conley Phipps was an Oklahoma high school basketball scoring legend, and is his coach at BTW. They were large school state champions last year, and looking to repeat. BTW is a black athlete factory which has produced numerous NBA and NFL players, so it was a bit controversial when Phipps got the job and installed his son at point guard. I’ve watched them the past two seasons against my son’s high school, and Trey is excellent. He’s the team leader and definitely won over the BTW fans.

PF Caleb Furst a top 30 prospect in the class of 2021 committed to Purdue. A very nice athlete with a lot of skills. A very good pick up for the Boilermakers with possible pro potential.

He is an Indiana native so why not Indiana? Indiana has stayed away from top white talent for years now. The last significant white star that played in Bloomington was C Cody Zeller ( Hornets) and he left after 2013.

Indiana though has been half ass crap since they "changed" their priorities away from white high school stars. Coincidence or the result of too much fawning over black players who lack fundamentals?

Bottom line is Indiana has semi sucked since they have veered away from white high school stars. Keep it up ass wipes.

Emerging news from the class of 2021. Before I get to that 2020 Creighton G Rati ( see above) wasn't initially listed on top 100 lists due to being a foreigner but since he committed his first ranking has him at #64.

Also flashy 2021 PG Carter Whitt (6'2" 170 lbs.) is still contemplating reclassifying into the 2020 class. I hope he reclassifies.

Three emerging names from the class of 2021.

6'10" C Lawson Lovering has committed to Colorado. His stock has been rising and he is now listed at # 54.

6'8" SF Eric van der Heijden from North Carolina has seen his recruitment explode. Tons of open space skills I get the feeling he might be a flashy fun player in the mold of former NBA player Brent Barry. Arguably the most exciting player in the 2021 class. He is ranked at # 78. Too many big schools to mention are in the hunt. He can really pass the rock.

6'7" swing player RJ Keene isn't in the top 100 and he is being hurt by not being able to prove himself in spring ball due to the massive sports shutdown. I remember his dad Richard well. He was a 6'6" shooting guard at Illinois from 92-93 to 95-96. Richard was a great three point shooter who was also a very good leaper. I was a big fan. Anybody else remember Richard?

His son RJ inherited his leaping ability and is also a great long distance shooter. The apple didn't fall very far from the tree on this one. At first lower level schools were in the mix but now teams like Iowa and Illinois are showing interest.

Kansas just nabbed Zach Clemence a 6'10" PF from the class of 2021. Tons of potential because he has the athleticism and overall skill set that could send him to the NBA down the road. Nice to see him land on a super big boy. Extremely mobile.

He might have the second highest upside of white players in this class behind of course PF Chet Holmgren. The only other two 2021 prospects that immediately pop to mind are C Nathan Bittle and PF Caleb Furst who committed to Purdue earlier.

Nice to see Clemence land at Kansas. They are usually quite caste, but to Self's credit, he usually at least always has one White Guy in the rotation (Withey, Aldrich, Svy).

Holmgren has crazy potential, only knock I can think on him is he's extremely skinny.

Supposedly Lawson Lovering has grown 2 inches and is a legit 7footer now! Good get for Colorado.

Furst to Purdue is nice, continues their tradition going.

Admittedly don't know much about Bittle.

I think Ben Carlson(6'8 210) and Steve Crowler(6"11 220) both from Minneapolis suburbs will have good careers at Wisconsin. Though they likely won't get much playing time next season. Badgers are heavy with upperclassmen. Also seen them ranked Top10 in way too early polls for next season!

Despite the lack of any AAU spring basketball action some more under the radar white names are popping up. The latest is 6'8" F Will Tschetter from Minnesota. He averaged nearly 35 points as a junior and has a big upside. Has excellent long range shooting ability and overall impressive bouncy athleticism. He should land on a high major school.

Ohio State just nabbed 6'4" 2022 SG Bowen Hardman. Silky smooth with excellent athleticism Hardman's game translates well into modern schemes because he moves well without the ball and is a big time sharpshooter from deep. Projected to be a very good college player.

The class of 2022 has several bouncy white wings including Noah Batcheler and Camden Heide. I am especially excited about 6'6" Gradey Dick who was named Kansas Gatorade player of the year as a sophomore. This is a position that skews heavily black so nice to see top 50 type white players emerging on the wings.

Dick is an exceptional all around players with big time springs. Huge upside and all the big boys are chasing him. He doesn't have to worry about not being noticed. His last name alone will give him instant notoriety.

White players who have premium run/jump athleticism make me stand at attention and I know for many others here the same is true like track and field aficionado white lightning.. Will Tschetter ( see above post) fits that bill. Even though he is rated outside the top 100 ( so was Mac McClung) Will has just committed to Michigan. He is an explosive open court player who can really leap. In other words a player I will be watching very closely.

Vastly underrated 6'9" SG Eric Van der Heijden ( see above) is also only given a three star rating but don't tell that to the ten high profile programs, including Louisville and Iowa, who want him real bad. A dazzling talent.

Also mentioned in an above post is three star leaper RJ Keene ( a chip off his dad's block). He is down to six mid major schools which is a little disappointing since some of the big boys were sniffing around for a while.

6'6" shooter Brooks Barnhizer committed to Northwestern. Indiana brought in 6'8" C Logan Duncomb.

The two top White players in this class C Nathan Bittle and PF Chet Holmgren remain unsigned. Everybody and their mother is after Holmgren, not only the best player in the 2021 class but the best White prospect to come down the pike in ages. Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant comparisons abound for this thin as a rail Minnesota native. Not saying he will have their Hall Of Fame careers ( too early for that) but be rest assured neither Dirk or Durant could block shots like Holmgren.

2021 is that rare exception where White prospects land inside the top ten. 2022 is more true to form where you don't see top White players until the 20-40 range. Generally White prospects make anywhere between 8 -15 % of the top 100 players every year. Early reports on 2023 look real bad. Not even sure there is a White player in the top 60? 2024 doesn't look like a barnstormer either but it looks slightly better but it is way to early to get a good feel on that class. Below is a quick list of top 2022 players.

Before that I would be remiss if I didn't follow up on some players from my earlier posts like this one:

Also mentioned in an above post is three star leaper RJ Keene ( a chip off his dad's block). He is down to six mid major schools which is a little disappointing since some of the big boys were sniffing around for a while.

RJ Keene has committed to Boise State. Class of 2021.

Just outside the top 100 names for 2022 include:

Jaden Schutt 6'5" - Big Ten teams are in the hunt for this impressive shooter and leaper. Big upside who has been climbing up the rankings fast.

Joseph Pinnion 6'6"

Eli King 6'3"- Great all around athlete is seen as a top flight football WR with the likes of Notre Dame offering. Is he looking to play both sports in college?

Bowen Hardman 6'3"-sharp shooter has committed to Ohio State.

Now for the top 100:

92- Isaac Traudt 6'9"

86- Tyler Nickel 6'8"

83- Ben Middlebrooks 6'8"

82- Alex Karaban 6'7"

65- Aidan Mahoney 6'2"

60-Isaac McKneely 6'4"

57-Noah Batchelor 6'6"- Excellent leaper and athletic.

49-Justin Taylor 6'6"

43-Camden Heide 6'5"- Brother is a college QB. Terrific all around athlete.

42-Dylan Anderson 7'0"

41-Donovan Clingan 7'1"- Traditional skilled center has climbed up the boards. Mentioned in an above post.

38-Gradey Dick 6'7"- Has some Rex Chapman in his game.

All in all the class is at least fair despite not having a top 25 player. What I like about it is there are some really special athletes among the list and that improves matters. Typically you don't see this many White shooting guards/small forwards on top 120 lists. Thy tend to skew towards White centers and power forwards.

And while big men Anderson and Clingan are seen as a shade below the 2021 combo of Chet Holmgren and Nate Bittle they too are very skilled. BTW early reports suggest Holmgren is heading towards Gonzaga? Bittle will likely land in the Pac -12.

2021 6'2" PG Angelo Brizzi has committed to Villanova. HC Jay Wright, who has already won two championships with notable White players on the roster, reminds me a little of a young Coach K. A smart savvy coach who prioritizes team play and brings in a fairly steady line of White players. Brizzi is seen as a rising player who might remind some of current Bulls guard Ryan Arcidiacono who played a big role on Wright's first championship. By the way the Bulls won't be playing in the NBA restart. Don't ask.

Flashy 2021 6'2" PG Carter Whitt is a hot target for ACC teams. Currently Virginia Tech is the frontrunner but NC and NC State could still get in the mix.

More 2021 news and tidbits.

Two names to keep an eye on are 6'7" SF Payton Sandfort (Stanford has offered) and Landon Wolf a 6'5" SG out of Iowa.

C Nathan Bittle, the second highest White prospect in the class has narrowed his schools down to UCLA, Oregon, Arizona and Gonzaga. The best player in the class PF Chet Holmgren is leaning towards Gonzaga so my guess is Bittle will land on a Pac 12 team if Holmgren ends up at Gonzaga. Bittle has superb smooth skills and is very long and rangy. Easily has NBA potential.

I am very high on the upside of 6'9" SF Eric van der Heijden, a very exciting prospect who just committed to Louisville, which is of course is a huge college basketball program. He could very well end up like Brent Barry, a rangy multi skilled player who adds a dash of flash. He is thin now but that doesn't concern me. In fact I prefer that build as opposed to the thicker prospects who look like they have been dabbling with steroids or something. Bittle is also thin and so is Holmgren but as they mature some natural strength will occur.

I've got another PG to add to mix in 2022s Cole Glasgow from Iowa. 6'2 with range and above the rim finishing ability. So far South Dakota State has offered with hopefully many more to follow.

I’m not savy enough with the phone, but You can find video on Maxpreps of Ty Pence 6 foot 4 inch shooting guard/ small forward class of 2023. Hoping he has or will keep growing but he is already pretty well filled out so who knows.

A sharpshooter with good body control, long limbed and explosive jumper. His midrange game will be unleashed the next few years along with hopefully better ball handling. Could be an absolute monster with growth.

Figured this would be a good place to roll the dice on a freshman that is not even on the radar. Kam Craft 2022 6 foot 5 inch SG from Buffalo Grove is another one that will be Big Ten bound before its all said and done but not rated currently.

Schutt out of Yorkville was mentioned above. He was sort of a no brainer since the 8th grade but had to wait until recently to get recognition.

Another nice mention. Pence won Freshman of the Year in Chicagoland area. Averaged a very respectable 13ppg 4rpg as a 6'4 Freshman. Also with you in regards to him still growing. When it's all said in done I figure he'll be close to 6'6.

Between Pence, Kraft, and Schutt, it's nice to see a plethora of talent in Illinois!
