High rate of suicide.

This has generated a lot of discussion on message boards. I don't agree at all that white men can't cope.Any thoughts as to the reasons why we are experiencing this situation?

WASHINGTON, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Older white males have the highest suicide rate in the United States, said the Population Reference Bureau in Washington.


Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the United States with 11 suicide deaths per 100,000 Americans.


For white males over the age of 65, the rate is almost triple that figure.


White males are more than eight times as likely to kill themselves as women of the same age and the risk increases as they get older, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.


Suicide experts are unable to pinpoint an exact cause for the higher rate but some believe white males lack the resilience and coping mechanisms that women and other ethnic groups have.

Or maybe they just see this country going down the tubes. Resilience and coping mechanisms my ass, look at all those World War 2 vets, they were some of the toughest men ever.

I think the effects of the decades-long, beating down of white men is finally taking its toll. These men are the great ones who fought in WWI, WW II, and Korea, who saw the United States through the greatest wars of its history, who survived the Great Depression, who remember this country as it was before it turned into a bastion of affirmative action, feminisim, gay rights, immorality, hip hop, gangsta rap, and reverse racism. Watching their children and grandchildren lose jobs to people who don't speak English, where black people are idolized and worshiped, their homes and neighborhoods being flushed down the toilet in a morass of crime, drug abuse, and pornography. Schools that educate to the dumbest among us, suffer all as equals regardless of intelligence or ability, and promote black athletes at the expense of whites. What they've saved for retirement is often not enough to live on, the power of the dollar squandered on Third World welfare and social programs for the lazy and shiftless.

Its no wonder old white men are killing themselves.


As for this 'coping mechanism' of blacks and women.. well, when you have Uncle Sam taking care of you cradle to grave, making sure you 'gets paid' regardless of your ability or desire to earn a living wage, no matter how many bastards you birth out of wedlock, it seems fairly easy to cope, to me. No one ever calls you out, no one ever questions your ability, no one ever degrades you or insults you, you are held in the highest esteem possible and the law prevents anyone from mocking or making an example of you.

With what then is there left to cope?

WS, you wrote a very interesting post, lots of insight. I'll just throw in a couple more observations. When it comes to making babies white men are far less prodigious than Blacks and Mexicans who sow seed in any available recepticle. They give little thought to providing for their progeny. Instead of being concerned for their children'swelfare and futurethey produce skads of them hoping some will still bealive to provide for themwhen they are old. Of course that mindest guarantees perpetual poverty. White men generally are more concerned about their families opting for fewer children unless they have the means to supply sufficient housing, security and schooling etc.


I have personally known two men (family) in dire physical condition who decided not to prolong their lives at the expense of family. Chemo, operations and medical costs would have seriously savaged a lifetime of savings intended for the spouse and children.One in particular had a good chance of living many more years but would need constant attention and care from his wife and kids. He didn't think it would be fair to them. He told me he had lived a good life and was ready to leave knowing they had a measure of security.


You've heard the old expression ' Women andchildren first." and " The captain goes down with his ship?" From what I've read in news stories this sentiment isn't very prevalent in lesser developed counties.


Then we have the old fellow who who grew up waving Old Glory at every parade and left all behind to fight for the American ideal. Now he is living in a dump, afraid to go out at night or during the day because of the hordes of minorities who overtook his neghborhood. The pension he worked for was turned to dust byan enormously wealthy unscrupulous bastard (usual suspects)who bought his company through a hostile turnover, decimated it and stole all the money. How do I know? He is a family member through marriage. He is still alive but attempted suicide and is a basket case.


I read something that is incredibly funny. It was posted at Jared Taylor's site. Blacks, Whites and Asians were studied. Guess which group has the highest self esteem? Blacks!Whites and Asians were fairly close but the Asians had even less self esteem. It makes perfect sense to me. Japanese had been killing themselves when their companies experienced downturns or when they felt they let their family or countrymen down. Here is my free analysis.


Whites and Asians try to improvetheir lot in life and often are very harsh in judging themselves. We've all heard of the kid who was an honor student with perfect grades, involved with many organizations in church , school and the community. He workedtwojobs and volunteered his time at the humane society. Never was a bit of trouble. He wanted to be a doctor, lawyer or scientistbut ends up blowing his brains out after learning he got a B on an exam. He thought he let everyone down and was a huge failure.


On the other hand we have the ghetto kid named LaShonda who has three kidsby three different fathers and is a sophomore in high school. She reads at a third grade level, hasn'tyet mastererd the multiplication tables and is dumber than a box of rocks. All through her life she's been told how smart and precious she is while accomplishing absolutely nothing worthwhile. She plays basketball andwill have 6, 000 offersfrom colleges and Universities. Her self esteem is sky high!

I think white people in general have more of a conscience and as such sometimes some people get wrapped up in self-destructive thinking. The trait that made us great thinkers can also be damning to a small part of our population that haven't found ways to cope with emotions like guilt, shame, frustration, disappointment etc.

Good point, Kaptain. We're more emotionally sensitive/ sophisticated, which unfortunately can lead to depression, low self esteem, bleeding heart liberalism, etc.

I have a number of friends 60+,who are seeing their adult children buy into the horrific lies presented by the media and current elite,and they are not handling it well at all!


When they try to use the knowledge and solid experience that has brought them to this point,they are turned on by their own! Many of them have grandchildren,and realize the little ones have no future unless their parents can be made to realize what is going on in our society.


These older folks are seeing the destruction of all Western tradition and culture,and realize that their own kids have been the victims of 40 years of brainwashing.Many have said that subliminal thoughts have been introduced into the minds of todays young adults suggesting that they should distance themselves from their parents.

White men have ALWAYS had the highest rate of suicide in this country. This is nothing new. White men (and asians) are far more likely to blame themselves for their problems whereas non-white males/ females (with the exception of asians) tend to blame society and point fingers for their shortcomings. The conclusion of these moronic researchers should have been not that "white men can't cope" (cope with what by the way?) but that white men don't make excuses. We accept the consequences of our choices and take the necessary action...even unto death. Furthermore, I don't care what anyone says; suicide takes some measure of courage. A quality white men have always had in abundance.

Right...suicide is never a "coward's way out", though labeling it such may keep prideful men from considering it. It's often enough a STUPID way out, of course, but when you get to the age group of 65+ and the diseases they have, there may often be good reasons for the act.

Yet when you have other groups that have average I.Qs of 85, that commit crimes at a rate 9 times that of Whites, violent crimes at a rate 14 times that of Whites, who have even higher rates of rape, who are nonproductive parasites upon society in great numbers, not a single writer can dare to speak of the shortcomings of this personality type.

I think this is a simple case of older people faced with some really serious health problems and declining lives who prefer to take the fast track out rather than prolong the suffering, particularly after living pretty comfortable lives.

However, I also believe it is part of our turning our backs on our own kin because our lives are too "full" to look after them ourselves, so we shove them into nursing homes or assisted living centers which are essentially warehouses where the elderly are dumped to die. Edited by: Bronk
