Why does Herm Edwards have offers from the Chiefs for producing the same season as Mike Sherman?

The Jets faced multiple player injuries and stunk up the season.
The Packers faced multiple player injuries and stunk up the season.

The (black) head coach of the Jets not only retains his job but is actively sought out by other teams, who have to pay the Jets for the favor of hiring him.

The (white) head coach of the Packers is fired.

But you know, there IS a minority hiring problem among head coaches in the NFL, right? Riiight.

Are the Chiefs chasing Herm Edwards so they won't have to face charges of racism for hiring a white coach, or perhaps to be in compliance with the NFL policy that at least one minority (read: black) coach be interviewed for the position before it can be filled? Can you imagine if teams were told that they must hire at least *one* white head coach? Or try out at least *one* white running back every pre-season?? Does the entire NFL have to be black, top to bottom, before there will no longer be discrimination against blacks??

Even if it were, there would still be demands to eliminate "racism" in broadcasting, "journalism"and ownership, until those areas were all-black also. The demands by the professional blacks, homosexuals and feminists, and their white and semitic enablers, never abates and never will. It's like expecting a government bureaucracy to announce that it's accomplishedwhat it set out to doand is now disbanding. We're dealing with a ruthless and totally dedicated revolutionary force that will accept nothing less than total victory over whites and our way of life.


Of course, we know the owners will never have more than one or two token Negroes among them, much as the white elites make sure never to live or work in the conditions they mandate for everyone else.

Edwards was 39-41 in 5 seasons, this year 4-12 and he get's the respect of Vince Lombardi! Edwards and Dennis Green should both be fired. Green was terrible at Northwestern{Gary Barnett turned the program around]. Green was not to good at Stanford, had good players with the Vikings and never made the Super Bowl and the Cardinals stink!!
Whatever happened to John Cooper the former Ohio State head coach who had a very good winning record in Columbus!

Right, guys. I think the basic logic is, "since blacks are 70-80% of the NBA and NFL, they should be 70-80% of everything in sports, and anytime they're not 70-80% of something (a sport, players, coaches, ownership, etc.) it's either due to discrimination or lack of interest."

I'm following the Trent Green-Herm Edwardssituation in Kansas City and can't help but notice it's being covered differently than the similar situation between the Titans and Steve McNair last year. Last year the media coverage was overwhelmingly sympathetic to "poor" McNair, America's Greatest Living Leader who wasn't being shown the proper respect by the Tennessee organization after giving his all for so many seasons. But the rift between Trent Green and Herm Edwards and the Chiefs is being reported much more objectively. Unlike America's Greatest Living Leader, Green is merely a "veteran" who has a salary cap problem and the team can't work out a deal to trade him. Both situations were about financialpriorities and a changing of the guard at starting quarterback, but in McNair's case the obligatory emotionalism and hosannas of praise showered his way were an integral part of the media's coverage.

Yes he is half ethnic German. I'm not even sure the "Black" Irish Rooney would keep him around if they owned KC. Maybe the Hunts are too busy looking at their stock market ledger to know what a mess Herr Edwards has caused for their club. Either that or Muther Edwards cooks a mean Apfel Strudel....

I have to admit that I think Edwards is a good motivater. However, he doesn't seem to have it upstairs to put together winning game plans or surround himself with good people. His players though try very hard but can't overcome his ineptitude. I think his best fit is as a defensive coach. Not as a head coach.

According to an ESPN source, Herman Edwards has been fired by the Kansas City Chiefs. Edwards was 15-33 in three seasons in KC, including a 2-14 2008.Edited by: PhillyBirds

One of two things happened here. Either the Hunts found out the secret ingredients for Herm's Apfel Strudel or the Hunts looked at their stock market ledgers and said "Oh s##t we need season ticket renewals". From then on Herm was cooked Pheasant with Rot Wien.
