Scouts are doing their best to tear down Klein and Manziel's pro prospects:

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny "Football" Manziel: One NFL talent evaluator compared Manziel to former Duke standout Bobby Hurley, saying he's the best point guard in America, able to dish it off or take the ball to the hoop himself with his rare athletic instincts. Alabama coach Nick Saban once compared Manziel to Doug Flutie, though NFL scouts do not believe the Texas A&M quarterback has the same type of arm strength. One scout said Manziel, who's listed as 6-1, is more like Fran Tarkenton, able to scramble or throw the ball pretty accurately. NFL scouts are uneasy about his Manziel's size. They also are uncertain how high he'll wind up going when he turns pro or what type of quarterback he'll be, given that he's only a redshirt freshman. But even NFL evaluators are enamored with watching Manziel work his magic.

• Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein: What's most impressive to NFL scouts is how Klein excelled with so little talent surrounding him. Yet the NFL is torn over what to make of Klein, who has a funky motion and great intangibles but is hardly a classic pocket passer. One evaluator said Klein was a cross between former Jaguars first-round pick Matt Jones and former Broncos first-round pick Tim Tebow, each of whom has struggled to find a home at the NFL level. Klein has Jones' long-stride speed and Tebow's unimpeachable character, but his skill set has not wowed NFL scouts even if his determination has. Klein is viewed as a late-round pick.

If Klein was black all the "experts" would be saying he has so much upside, athleticism and potential at the next level yet since he is white he is denigrated and torn down. I think Klein can be taken as a QB or WR depending on the team. It will be interesting to see what he runs and how he tests out. Personally I would take him as a QB - I don't see much difference in ability or athleticism between him and Scam who has the backing of the media and DWFandom. Such obvious double standards.

Manziel is being lambasted for his height yet all the castewhores love Pete Carroll's black midget QB who is 2 inches shorter and not the same caliber athlete Manziel is.

How could they say Manziel doesn't have the arm strength? He makes amazing throws all the time, without even setting his feet, its all arm, its amazing. Of course him being put down for being 6'1 is ridiculous. Drew Brees is 6'0. RG3 is an entire ONE inch taller.

As far as Klein, its cliche to say, but the guy is a football player. Regardless if they want him to play qb or not, he has a spot in the NFL, his throwing motion isn't any more funky than the guy that is being hyped up for the 49ers.

If I had a vote it would be for Johnny Football. Since I don't, I kind of want to see Collin Klein win since this is his last chance. He is a married man of high character who is as amazing on the field as he is off the field. He is the type of guy that every american kid used to have posters of on his wall. He is just like Tebow a rold model. He has put Kstate on the national map for 4 years now and he is every bit as deserving at Manziel.

I will be happy either way though.

I agree, I want to see Klein win it. Although Manziel is more impressive, he will have more time, and probably will top this season. The only thing that concerned me was that knee injury he had in the last game, where he just put the brace on and kept playing. I hope there wasn't anything serious, and nothing was damaged in the process. During the game when the adrenalin is flowing you might not feel it. Its amazing though, his stats barely dropped off from his senior year in high school to freshman in the SEC.

Fun fact about Te'o, he would be the only one to win without having scored a td. Woodson scored 2 receiving and 1 rushing, with 8 interceptions to go along with that, oh yeah and a punt returned for a td as well. Te'o's attitude seems ****y saying "I didn't come here to be 2nd", linebackers should be proud to be nominated.

Congrats to the human hilite machine, Johhny Manziel a.k.a. "Johnny Football". Now we can call him Johnny Heisman. The first freshman in the history of the Heisman Voting to ever win the award and he ran away with it. All three guys are great guys on and off the field. I have to admit that I was suprised that Klein finished 3rd. That was kind of dissapointing as he deserves better. He could have also easily won it in my honest opinion.

Johnny Manziel is the man! I love this kid. His moves are almost like a ps3 or xbox game. It's like he hits the circle for the spin and speed burst at will. The kid is truely an athlete so far above just about any qb that I have ever seen. When it's all said and done, he may end up being the best college qb of all time. He will have to play even better over the next 3 years though as he will have a bulls eye target on his back now that he won. There will be alot of jeolousy but I'm sure this kid can handle it.

Way to go Johnny Football.

This was one of those times where they just could not rob the guy. Hes just so obviously the best player that the voters could not possibly choose otherwise. I have a feeling my guy Klien will get forgotten in all this. I sure hope Im wrong, and that he gets drafted.

I went to a funeral this moring for a lady who works with my fiance, and the funeral I was talking to a kid who goes to Notre Dame. He told me Tao is like one of the dumbest guys at the school. The kid told me he had a class with Tao last year, which Tao never showed up for, and he told me Tao can barely speak and never uses words that are longer than one syllable. The kid by the way is also studying to be a priest so I assume he is being honest.

Its great that Johnny FB won the award. At least this year an elite White athlete was not hosed in favor of a color of the rainbow affelet or in the case of Te'o a Don Ho "flava" athlete, where is that whole roasted pig now.

I imagine it will be much worse then that as White culture continues to decline and eventually die off. Whatever they are wearing in the ghetto while standing on the corner by the liquor store will be the height of official fashion in the future as it seems that black culture must set the tone and style for the rest of the country.

I appreciate the observation though. I thought it was stupid looking when I saw it but figured few others did.

it is succinct, but it points out how truly ridiculous his inclusion was. also, the lack of hype surrounding Nick Florence (whose numbers are better than Heisman "winner" Robert Griffin III's (despite playing in the same offensive system, on the same team, etc.) is pointed out.

check it out, gentlemen. the facts speak for themselves.

It's great to see Johnny Football win the Heisman. Either he or Klein were deserving - I cannot believe Klein finished in 3rd place. The flowers around Teo's neck were a joke.

I also noticed how BSPN was trying to hype up next year's heisman and brush Johnny Football under the rug asap.

Keuchly not being mentioned last season even though he is a superior LB shows alot of media bias both due to the fact Teo plays for ND and that he is a non-white.

I just hope Klein is drafted by a team that will know how to use him. He is a great QB with all the skills needed to become successful at the next level. He has a good arm, smart, high character and athletic - if he was black he would be hyped up. An interesting player to follow but I think we all have an idea of how it will end up unfortunately.

I think that we have to understand there is a new paradigm at work in how people view things. Most of us here feel that things like awards, for example the Heisman Trophy, or the MVP, or a Pro Bowl spot, should be based on merit and because of that should have some sort of logical decision making process based upon non-biased statistics. That's an old White guy way of thinking about things that is on the way out.

We need to start considering the way other people are starting to look at these types of things. Awards, like any kind of recognition should be based not upon boring old numbers or tedious logical deduction but rather should be emotion based. The most important thing is how popular or famous some one is because "fame" is a measure of how a person is touching the lives of other people. Fame is a kind of virus that infects the minds of people.

Absence the nickname then the meme would have been the one of Manti Te'o and his personal story and he would have won.

With regard to that absurd wreath around Teo's neck, I saw another clip of Manziel at the moment he was named the Heisman winner. He stands up and walks to hug his parents before ascending to the podium, and both his father and mother are adorned with crimes against fashion. Manziel's father wore some long strand of heavy black beads, and his mother had a fluffy floral garland.

I didn't watch ESPN's two-hour preamble, but I assume there was some significant floor time dedicated to the cultural heritage of the precious foreigner (who has never lived outside of the USA). I'll take a wild guess that Chief Boot-knocka was given the floor to pass out his own set of trinkets as reward for some asenine common cultural traits. You have raised your son to be a noble hunter, Mrs. Klein! Please accept these tribal beads as a token of your accomplishment!

Even absent the hostile overemphasis of the lei on Teo's outfit, look at the differences in dress. The two whites are dressed impeccably. Mantiel has stylized his conservative suit with an A&M pocket square and a lighter-hued tie. Klein coordinated his suit more reservedly to bear closer semblance to his school uniform. Te'o, on the other hand, has gone all-black. His tie has no visible gold, green, navy, or white. Perhaps his pocket square alluded to the university that sponsored him... once upon a time, before he draped foliage over himself.

The whores that orchestrated this production chose to dedicate an ample proportion of this procession to Race. Specifically, to non-white Race. Te'o was born and raised in Hawaii as an LDS Mormon. Clearly, he shared no great cultural affiliation with his venerable Catholic university. But Te'o grew up as a Christian and surely recited the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in school. What "cultural differences" really exist to celebrate?

Imagine the parents of a white nominee in Asia or Africa pinning ceremonial bow-ties onto the parents of natives, congratulating them for mimicking European traits. How diminutive and disrespectful! It would be natural to resent those whites for not only failing to conform to common decency, but actually forcing their irregularity onto their hosts.

The Heisman Trophy is over 75 years old and has the influence to dictate its standard practices. Instead, the award has been commercialized and in turn, morphed into an exercise in white apology. Shame on Manziel for achieving to such a level that non-whites pale (heh) in comparison!

The local sports squawk radio guy today mentioned that he had a Heisman vote (due to his "esteemed" membership in the sports profession) and when the caller asked him who he voted for he said "Johnny Football man!! Johnny Football!! I really like Manti T'eo but JOHNNY FOOTBALL!!!" However I'm sure he spent many a long hour pondering the decision and weighing the accomplishments of all of the candidates in minute detail before coming to a reasoned decision.
