I Talk to the Wind is by the progressive rock group, King Crimson. Greg Lake does the vocals (pre Emerson, Lake, and Palmer days). Timeless.

When I first saw this video I wondered "Who is this guy?" I looked him up. He's Harry Reischmann, a German drummer.

Here are the Von Trapp singers, the real life singers on whom The Sound of Music was based. They were Austrian.

One of my favorite scenes from The Sound of Music was at the festival where Captain Von Trapp invites the audience to sing "Edelweiss" with him and the family. A rare time when I actually felt a genuine "moment" from a movie. The patriotism from the audience was real, because Austria was an actual nation-state with a uniform culture that all of its citizens were connected to. Essentially, that scene was the opposite of the NFL's faux-patriotism US national anthem with scowling, kneeling black players. It was also a great scene for demonstrating that, contrary to stereotypes, being pro-White does not have to mean being pro-Nazi. The audience was 100% White - in fact, I think everyone in the movie was White - as back then, movies actually could be made with demographic accuracy. Austria in 1938 was 100% White, and there's nothing wrong with that. Sierra Leone today is 100% black. Bhutan is 100% Asian. There's nothing wrong with that either. That is - or was, anyway - the whole point of having separate countries.

I wouldn't consider either of these bands "good" but thought this would fit here. Apparently the hags that made up Dixie Chicks have dropped the "Dixie" from their name. Lady Antebellum now goes by "Lady A" . Because racism.

Ennio Morricone dead at 91. The master composer of the greatest trifecta in westerns. The A Few Dollars More, The Good, Bad and Ugly and Fist Full of Dollars. Full life. RIP Sir.

Here is Ennio Morricone's Ecstasy of Gold. It was in the movie The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. In my opinion it's one of the greatest pieces of music ever created.

Wow what a perfect storm coming together for a great movie. Clint, a great director, topped off by such a memorable soundtrack.

Hats off to our Italian brothers.

I play this when I push my 56 old body to run 3 miles in the 95 degree of a CA Summer. Whilst running, I think and hope that America rejects this attempted leftist revolution. It inspires and relaxes me at the same time.

Here's jazz pianist Dave Brubeck playing Take Five with his quartet. It was a hit on the Billboard Hot 100, the standard for measuring record success. It reached number 25. (That would never happen today, in an era dominated by black gangster rap.) Take Five is the best selling jazz song of all time. All of the musicians in the quartet are good. The drummer, Joe Morello, is exceptional.

Steven Crowder parody of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. Sends up political correctness. Pretty funny. Warning: Crowder is not too good of a singer.

Here's a pretty good garage rock song. The Eyes. When the Night Falls.

I didn't even know this song existed until today. A site listing the best garage rock songs had it on their list. https://www.discogs.com/lists/Top-5...

How much more of this great music is out there?

Hope, I got this right. The great Paul Butterfield blues band. The only band at Monteray, Newport, and Woodstock.

An alternate version of Eight Miles High by the Byrds. This version is also good and is said to be preferred by David Crosby. and Roger McGuin. The song was inspired by a plane ride to London.

yeah sixties chicks, they were the best. You have to think those lady dancers were wild in the sack. I’m pretty sure that’s how they got the job.
