Funny football titbits.

The usual Negro-friendly British press (Daily Mail) was full of praise for "the strongest football player in the world" - Adebayo Akinfenwa and and came up with a laudatory article on him. Adebayo is playing for the third division side Wimbledon and has supposedly impressed Mourinho during a recent friendly between Wimbledon and Chelsea. I know that English teams like "physical players", but this time they may have gone a bit overboard... NFL material?

I just typed "Ashley Young" into Google and the first thing that now comes up is "Ashley young bird". The second thing is "Ashley Young bird poop".:icon_grin: Maybe this is what he'll be remembered for!

I just put on the early Sunday match between Liverpool and Southampton. I never like the early matches as there is no atmosphere. (If you know anything about Scousers you'll know virtually everyone at Anfield is nursing a hangover). Anyway, it was so quiet at the start the Southampton fans were mocking the Liverpool faithful by singing "is this a library?"

I wonder if this *******'s name is pronounced like "dyke" or "dick"? Or maybe it's dahy-kee? Either way it's a funny name because I'm sure this fella isn't too "bright". :icon_wink:
