In the co-feature, heavyweight Konstantin Airich (14-2-2, 11 KOs) scored a second round stoppage over Alexander Kahl (15-5-1, 13 KOs).

Heavyweight Timo Hoffmann (39-7-1, 23 KOs) returned from a one year layoff with a brutal two round annihilation of Harry Duiven Jr. (14-7-1, 12 KOs) under the stars on Friday night in Aschersleben, Germany. The 35-year-old "German Oak"Â￾ dropped Duiven with a big right hand in round two. Duiven beat the count, but Hoffmann soon caught the reeling Duiven on the ropes and leveled him again. The bout was waved off by referee Jürgen Langos at 1:59.

Last Saturday Krzysztof Zimnoch scored a 3rd round knockout over Michael Moncrief 3-5-1. Zimnoch improves to 3-0-1(3).

The fight was in California so we know there was some home cooking. European fighters never get fair decisions in the states. Take the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight for example. Calzaghe won almost every round yet was only given a split decision win with the negro judge Byrd of course being the one judge that gave the fight to Hopkins. He could have easily been robbed in that fight. Byrd did give the fight to Adamek when he fought Cunningham at the Prudential Center but any other result on her behalf would have been extremely controversial considering Adamek knocked Cunningham down three times and the fight was in Tomasz's backyard.

On July 17, Christian Hammer (7-1, 4 KOs, age 22) will take on Mariusz Wach (21-0, 9 KOs, age 30) according to fightnews.com.

For some reason the 6'7" Wach has been inactive since April 2009.

This is a competitive heavyweight matchup and a good addition to the Brahmer-Lakatos and Alexeev-Lebedev undercard.

Airich-Saglam is quite an interesting matchup. Saglam has been fighting very weak opposition up until now.

Zimnoch beat Ziausys on points over four rounds. A week later he stopped Abdelhadi Hanine in the second round. Zimnoch's record currently stands at 6-0-1(5)

Gerber stopped Lee Swaby in the fourth round. Swaby holds a win over a green Enzo Maccarinelli. Gerber is scheduled to fight Colin Kenna 16-11-3(7) tomorrow in England.

It's a shame the Turk pulled out. I thought Airich had a good chance against him.

Undefeated Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach (23-0, 11 KOs) dominated his opponent Galen Brown (33-15, 20 KOs) over four rounds as he knocked him down three times en route to a fourth round TKO stoppage. Wach landed a vicious combination on Galen which put his lights out for a few minutes after the referee stopped the fight. Time of the stoppage was 2:48 of round four. Brown was able to leave the ring under his own power after the bout.

Unbeaten Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko 19-0(12) will face Uzbek journeyman Isroil Kurbanov 6-5-1(1) tomorrow.

Heavyweight prospect Andriy Rudenko (20-0, 12 KOs) won a unanimous eight round decision over Isroil Kurbanov (6-6-1, 1 KOs). The Ukrainian continuously applied pressure and threw many power shots. In round five Rudenko brutally battered Kurbanov, who miraculously didn't go down. Scores were 80-73, 79-73, 80-72. Fightnews.com scored it 80-72.
