ESPN is going all out in an effort to have the NFL's Passer Rating replaced by their own Disney-created "Total Quarterback Rating" system.
The NFL MUST resist this assault on the quarterback position by a hostile media entity. If they yield, then ESPN becomes the gate-keeper for defining what a successful quarterback is. It doesn't matter if the QBR would've produced similar results to the traditional Passer Rating if applied to last season. Once ESPN gains "say so" power over the statistic, they can (and will) tweak it relentlessly over the years in order to fit into their Disney cult-marx ethos.

they have really been pushing this thing, they even have it on the bottom ticker...

I did a few quick comparisons and found that kerry collins' 2.8 qbr would have been and 82 passer rating whereas donovan mcnabbs 20.5 would have only registered a 47 on the other scale:crazy:
