The season shall kick off in a week's time (i.e. Saturday, 17 August), so here's the "official thread". :icon_wink:

Let's begin with the following story:

OWNERS ASSEM AND EHAB ALLAM HAVE CONFIRMED THEIR INTENTION TO RE-BRAND HULL CITY BY DROPPING THE 'AFC' AND PUTTING THE EMPHASIS ON 'TIGERS':

http://www.thisishullandeastriding....tory-19634384-detail/story.html#axzz2bSWPdjiQ

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/09/hull-rebranded-hull-city-tigers-name

Here are the Egyptian owners:

These days, wherever one turns one sees a bloody Arab or some other flea-farm Muslim. In case You weren't aware, that creep Mohamed (Al)-Fayed recently sold Fulham to the Paki Shahid Khan (my American friends will, of course, know that the latter also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars).

Why don't they invest in their own country and start traditions there? Now they'll want to bring in more foreign players.

Hull City already brought in two of those "English" mulattoes from Tottenham; Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone, the former on a loan... Where do all of these mulattoes in England come from? Are they propped up? Because there can't be that many of them running around England yet.

On a more positive note... Chelsea started 9 whites today!!

You beat me to this post. Assuming Torres can find some form and Lukakku doesn't start Chelsea are a team to follow. This is a big if, because lots of Chelsea fans are drooling over the idea of black Drogba v2.

Terry,Cahill and Luiz are extremely talented footballing, strong, aggressive defenders. Ivanovic and Ashley Cole are both reliable, solid, hardworking, attacking threat fullbacks. I think they'll have a record setting defense this season especially with Mourinho drilling them. Oscar is stepping up to the plate this season, he looks sharper than ever. Torres offered an attacking outlet time and time again. Lampard the grandmaster looks as good as ever, it's an injustice that he hasn't played every single game the last few seasons when available. The new signing De Bruyne looks like he's been playing in the Prem all his life, he did everything right besides shooting on target. Mata is easily in the top 5 best players in the premiership and it's going to be hard to justify dropping De Bruyne after that performance. Hazard was a silent assassin.

Truthfully, I would put Luiz in Ramires' defensive midfield role If I was Mourinho, not even for race related reasons, purely as a neutral football fan.

even in belgium everybody knows that lukaku is a clown, he's just physical but nothing more
drogba was 10 times better
i think that he'll get sold or sent on loan, or he'll stay as a substitute

it seems that bale will leave premier league, but i had to post this comparison between him and micah richards:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soccer/news/20130806/gareth-bale-tottenham-real-madrid/

Richards was confident and brash, Bale almost painfully shy; Richards was accompanied by two agents, Bale by his parents, Frank and Debbie, who spoke of their concern that their boy would feel overawed among his new teammates.

Richards was a monster in the fitness routines, but Bale was far better with the ball. I remember being surprised at watching Richards struggle to slalom dribble the ball between some cones before shooting past a goalkeeper. I knew he was a defender, and yes, he was only 19 at the time, but when we met, he was already England's starting right back and a few months away from being named Manchester City's youngest ever captain. Richards looked like an athlete who played football; Bale, a footballer who was yet to become an athlete.

Richards, on the other hand, has since admitted he was overhyped as a younger player. He lost his place in the England side when Fabio Capello took over as the national coach and was omitted from Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2012. He did make 29 starts in the season City won the Premier League title but missed much of last season after tearing his knee cartilage. He is now a senior player and the only homegrown talent in City's squad.

what a great result for arsenal against tottenham
with giroud's 3rd goal in 3 matches (+ 1 in the champions league qualifier)

liverpool started 7 whites against manchester united and won 1-0, becoming the leader of the premier league, but it's not likely to stay this way as they have done horrible transferts
i mean MAMADOU SAKHO for 18 millions!
PSG must be very thankful

tottenham on the other hand have done great transferts

the media is putting huge pressure on bale, always talking about his price ect, like they did with carroll
it will be hard for him to perform at the level asked by the media
i didn't see this much pressure on etoo when he undeservedly became the world's most paid player by signing in russia (and he flopped in russia, but they don't talk about it)

They all say it is too much to pay. They are waiting for him fail. Some people bring up Beckham and Owen and say they were British failures at Real. Owen didn't do that bad, especially because he wasn't a regular starter.Beckham won the league with them. Becks isn't a goal scorer first, so I don't know how people judge him.

Ronald hasn't even made it to the finals of the Champions at Real, but does anybody call him a failure?

You're right no pressure on Eto and now he gets to play a Chelsea.

Newcastle and Sunderland are paying a heavy price for all the ethnic transfers they stockpiled in the last few years, you can mask a few in a good team but when they become your squad, things go downhill fast.

Ji jumped out of the way to avoid heading a ball for an easy goal in the 6 yard box and Altidore has been a waste of space.

Newcastle are the worst team in the prem, including the newly promoted teams, relegation certs.

Spurs are really struggling to score goals from open play since Bale has left, their all black midfield has no vision or creativity and give Soldado nothing to work with.

Sunderland have also taken Ki Sung-Yueng - another South Korean loser - on loan from Swansea...

check this out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23921714

But, on Sunday, I saw a Spurs team full of big, powerful athletes that had no real creativity to compare with the likes of Santi Cazorla in Arsenal's midfield.

Spurs need more than just muscle

Tottenham have not scored a goal in open play in the Premier League in their first three games and you can see why - they have lots of muscle but lack creative players.

I felt sorry for Roberto Soldado because, until Defoe came on, he was isolated up front and had very little to work off.
Spurs will be able to outmuscle and overpower some teams but, in close matches against the very best teams, they need someone who can unlock the game.
They did not have that player on Sunday but it looks like Christian Eriksen, who joined Tottenham from Ajax on Friday, is seen by Villas-Boas as the player to add that Cazorla-like touch.

Chelsea have sadly blackened up massively, they play Everton today who are actually starting 9 whites excluding the GK. It won't last long for Everton, but hopefully Chelsea get a realization that white players are just better at doing their jobs

Chelsea today: 7 whites , A Cole, who I don't mind and 3 other blacks including Mikel and Eto'o. Ramires is the other.

i watched arsenal's game today, another goal for giroud, 4 in 4 games, and nice passes, like the one on ramsey's second goal
it's really nice to see ramsey score goals like he does now
the first ramsey goal came from a cross by jenkinson also, interesting since jenkinson's offense has been the most criticised part of his game (good defender but doesn't really attack well - better than sagna who sucks at both if you ask me)

I don't understand Mikel playing either.

Mikel has to be one of the worst players in the world.Cant shoot, cant pass, cant tackle, has no clue about positional discipline....jogs around a lot during the game, ala balotelli....he dosent even fit the stereotype of 'strong&tall'.

Oh,he's one of roman abramovich's black skinned boys.
(Fun fact:Mikel plays attacking midfielder for Nigeria):O
