heh, its funny reading the posts worried about Drew's career after he signed with the Saints. Hes been carrying the team on his back.
He gets about a second to throw the ball and his quick reading of defenses/quick release allows for him to not get sacked often. Somehow that translates into Jammal Brown being a "probowl lt" hes an average RT at best playing LT and will never move back because of the money.
Zach Strief came in and they didnt miss a beat. We need a Center too, Goodwin is at best a backup. Stinchcomb is the best blocker and most athletic. Some how Jahri Evans gets overrated. Hes not that good, Stinchcomb has to help him out alot and then he gets blamed for problems.
Carl Nicks i admit is a good LG, at run blocking at least, but we had a better one sitting on the bench in Andy Allenman, he got released and then wound up starting next to Jake Long and they did well together.
Strief should be starting at LT or RT. Id like to see Stinchcomb at LT and Strief at RT though. Stinchcomb has amazing athletic ability for a guy his size, the reason reggie has been able to pop off any big runs from dump off passes or screens, is because hes able to get out there real quickly to block at the next level.
If you watch many of Reggie Bush's tds, its Stinchcomb making a key block. Thats all reggie can do though, because he can t see the holes, usually because the Sumo line fails to create any.
I dont know how Brees does it. I hope he can maintain his quick release for another 5 or 6 years. Brown's knees are getting worse. People are saying "but hes still in his 20's" but he walks around like hes late 40's . He got exposed against speed rushers and he holds every game.
Imagine Brees with some time to throw the ball, the way hes improved over the years. 5,000 yards and not one player received over 1,000 yards. Shockey was injured most of the year and played through some of it. Colston had a thumb injury and dropped as many passes as Devery Henderson who cant catch anything. Bush was out several games. They had no running game. No pass rush with 2 of the highest paid DE's in the league.
If he had stayed with the Chargers, they might have won the Superbowl the year Rivers had his knee hurt. Rivers is an up and coming qb, but nowhere the level as Brees.
Hope he can win one with the Saints, he deserves it, hes on a Manning/Brady level with a mediocre surrounding cast. I wish he had some of their linemen, like Matt Light or Jeff Saturday. Hopefully we at least draft a White center in the draft, like Alex Mack or if they go later rounds A.Q. Shipley. Everyone is doubting Shipley because of his arms and they are 2 inches too short. They said the same for Saturday.
and we'll have a healthy Jeremy Shockey next season. Heath Evans who i hope they at least use in short yardage, but id rather him the role Deuce Mcallister had in 06, Evans would be a perfect compliment to Bush if they used him right, Mark Campbell and Dan Campbell at TE. Brian Young at DT, Dan Morgan coming back from retirement, Shanle in case he doesnt work out. Scott Fujita who is athletic as hell as the other OLB. and hopefully Jeff Charleston gets to see more snaps at DE, im sure he will being that both Grant and Smith will be suspended for 4 games for using starcaps. They are glorified Defensive Tackles playing DE anyway.
too bad on that show they showed how to not pass the ball and they showed Kurt Warner throwing a wobbly pass, which doesnt happen often. I guess they couldnt dare show the tons of horrible passes guys like Russell, Young and Jackson have thrown.

Remember when the great Drew Brees was proclaimed a bust by the media and DWFs very early in his career? Check out this video. Ignore the negro actor hired to portray an archer (How many of the top archers in the world are black? If it's more than one tenth of one percent I'll be surprised.) I'd love to see how any black QB, including McNabb, would compare to Brees' accuracy; none are anywhere close to being in his league.
