Dmitry "The Sledge Hammer" Kudryashov

Kudryashov's rematch with the Nigerian African negro (now infesting the USA) who KO'd him in November 2015, his only loss, is this Saturday, June 3rd, in Russia. The bookies have "The Sledge Hammer" a 3 1/2 to one favorite to win.

if he leaves himself and easy target he will get the same result, he had the Negro in big trouble in rd 1 and gassed in their first fight. I hope he has worked on his head movement and conditioning and ko's Durodola in the first 3 rounds....

Kudryashov looks to be a basic block and punch guy with better punch than block.

He's always dangerous and in danger against better opponents.

Kudos to him for getting back on the horse.

Kudryashov will have improved his conditioning for this rematch and that will be the difference. He found out for himself that to land his power he also needs fitness. He'll like KO the Africano.

Thanks, CM. I was looking at a Russian website last night but I didn't see the time.

Kudryashov looks like Rasputin!

Much improved. Head movement. Used his jab. Paced himself. Even tried some counter punching. Much more purposeful in this fight.

He's learned that pure power will only get you so far in boxing.

And boy does he have some heavy hands.

As predicted. We usually get them right. He's using the Dempsey bend over weave and sling shot hooks. The guy has some deadly bite! Durodola was actually a very tough opponent, and though many knockdowns, he has a good chin and plenty of fight in him. Kudry is the type that today's boxers like to avoid.

Some might say that the ref stopped it a bit prematurely, but really the ref could very well have stopped it after the last knockdown when the negro failed to raise up his hands to show that he wanted to continue. The ref then raised his hands up for him.

" Is it my imagination or are the Russian ring girls drop dead gorgeous"

If it is you have the same imagination I do!

A slight family resemblance to Rasputin?

I think they are the spitting image!

I don't think he can beat Usyk though!

I don't either. Maybe Usyk could move to heavy. He's 6'3". The trouble is these days the top heavies are really super heavies, weighing in at about 250.

A shame indeed for his country and everyone who was suporting him including myself.

After watching that video, it almost looks as if Kudryashov doesn't know all the fundamentals of boxing. He hits like a mack truck, but doesn't move his head or feet much. He has always been able to rely on his power to get through guys. If he moved a little, he would have easily beat this guy I think. Not sure who his trainers are, but he needs to get someone who can teach him footwork and head movement.
