I have been listening to classical lately. There is a radio station that plays exclusively classical near me. It’s quite relaxing and I feel a lot more even keel when listening to it. After you listen for a while you start to notice the brilliance and you can hear the genius of the composers coming out in the music. Today’s music is almost exclusively electronic and very bland. It’s designed for the simpletons of the ADD world in which we live. I usually don’t even listen to newer music.

This is nice music:

It's wonderful that the Scottish people, unlike the English, have never ceased to be proud of and love their heritage.

I think because radio is disappearing that the way people discover new bands has changed a lot and so I’ve found a lot of new bands that my kids like that I have to admit I like quite a bit too.

I still think that the Police were amazing so if you liked their sound which had some reggae influence you may like these:

The dirty heads
Sublime (with Rome)
Stick figure
Slightly stoopid

all of the above feature excellent musicianship and though they def have an influence from hip hop it’s a thousand miles away from that trash. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed.

As for new country that isn’t annoying like Luke Bryan try…
Sturgill Simpson
Tyler Childers

I live listening to Sinatra too but we will never have another of him. Sad but true. RIP chairman of the board
