I have been reading some of the prior posts disparging Oscar. I don't understand the hate. This man, has fought the best during his era, ie; Hopkins, Mosely, Trinadad, Vargas(when he was prime), Mayweather Jr, Chavez, Camacho, Gatti(still prime) and a African fighter whose name escapes me.

His true defeats were against Mosely One, the Sturm fight and of course his defeat against a Prime Hopkins. The Trinadad fight he won based on rounds as well as the second Mosely fight, in which years later, Mosely admits to taking BALCO roids! That decision should have been reversed and given to Ocsar! But since Mosely is a black man, no controversy.

I consider Oscar just as white and more so that Margarito. Looking at Oscar, he appears to be, maybe 1/8 indegious American. Recently, HBO 24/7 showed his grandmother, and she looks whiter than my mom, who has sky blue eyes like her.

Anyways, Oscar brings excitement and glamour to all of his fights. I still think that Mayweather fight was a draw. This fight will be entertaining, in that I want to see how Pacquiao reacts to getting hit with Oscar's sweet left hook. I suspect he may go to sleep. If Pacquiao can bring the fight to the later rounds(deep waters) I suspect we will see a Margarito vs Cotto fight with winner up for grabs. Can't wait, and congrats to Ricky Hatton's win last weekend. He will surely be looking to fight the winner.

I really have no problem with Oscar. He shouldn't be fighting Pac because he's so much bigger. In saying that, I think it's a fight both guys believe will be interesting to the public, so they went ahead with it. Oscar is a great fighter, but I think a lot of people feel he's wimping out against Pac. I don't think it's "wimpy" just a fight that shouldn't have been made.

What I agree about Oscar is that he was robbed twice by Mosley because of steroids. I think Oscar is White on his maternal side but his father is clearly about half Indian. Also the cross dressing rumours are way too strong for them to not have substance.

I agree that De La Hoya has always stepped up to fight the best (i.e. bigger paydays,) but I don't care for him anyway. He has an air of entitlement about him, and I want to see Pacquiao KO De La Hoya.

I hear what you guys are saying. But I have boxed and had limited ability. For a guy who is 510 and started out fighting at 130 lbs and to go up to 160 lbs and take on Bernard Hopkins in his prime and be winning that fight after 6 rounds, I have nothing bad to say about Oscar.

I remember the African now, It was Ike Quartey. He was one of the Welter Weight Champs in 1998. Oscar got dropped in the fight and came back and almost KO'd Quartey.

W.S. I see Oscar's air of entitlement as confidence. This fight is going to be great. I see either a Oscar Ko early or a grueling fight with each hurting each other. Hatton will be looking and hoping for either, to have monster event and payday in England.

W.I.S those cross dressing rumors are just that, rumors. Those photos were chopped and super imposed. And if true, which I doubt, Marv Albert was able to over come them.

The fight is your classic David vs. Goliath match up. Either winner should give a fight to Hatton. But for Oscar's sake this needs to be one of his last fights.

The guy is filthy rich and has nothing else to prove anymore. It be a shame for Oscar to have a battered
brain and not enjoy the spoils he has collected over
the years.

Pacman has several good fights left ahead of him, but
he too should start wising up and plan a life after boxing.

I'm predicting Oscar TKO 6 with Roach or the referee rescuing Pac Man. Natural size will be too much for Manny to overcome. The only way he wins if Oscar is totally shot.

I guess making untold millions soothes Oscar's anger over Shane Mosely using Roids prior to their second fight. That decision should be erased and the victory given to Oscar and Shane banned/fined for one year. But NO!

Regarding Saturday's fight, I also see Manny getting clipped in round 6 or 7 and Roach throwing in the towel to save him. Next up a mega event with Ricky Hatton, next spring. Looking forward to Saturday night.

In this fight, Oscar lost the weight the smart way. He began to lose it over six months ago. Its going to be interesting watching the first three rounds of this fight. Alot of people forget the way Oscar's delivers that sweet left hook, especially when a aggressive fighter comes forward.

Too much muscle not enough fat. The slobs in his camp could make a good barbecue rib dinner though.....

Just viewed the weigh in. Both looked like they are taking tmrw night seriously. Manny was 142 and change, and Oscar was 145 lbs! When they posed together, Oscar didn't look that much bigger than Manny. It should be a great fight, with someone hitting the canvas.

Oscar is hated because he doesn't act like a thug or your typical mestizo. He is also hated because women think he is good-looking - a lot of ugly guys get jealous. Finally, he is hated because he looks pretty white with a touch of mestizo.

When Oscar faced Hopkins, Oscar clearly came into the fight with an injury to his ribs/torso. He lost because of a body blow. When I first watched the fight I noticed the injury in the early rounds (watch the corner between rounds). I think he would have beaten the ultra boring Hopkins if he were healthy.

I noticed a couple of things at the weigh-in. Those losers Mosley and Hopkins were at the weigh in probably to try and sell steroids to the Pacman. And Pacman's trainer Roach looks like he's taking a good long look at DLH's crotch.

Fightthepower try www.justin.tv/xsn 12345. Last time I went this route, I believe Whiteathelete keep feeding us new streams, after PPV killed the site during the Calzedge fight in the end we missed the last 3 rounds of that fight. Good Luck, I opened the wallet this time and bought the PPV. I anticapate a great fight.

Manny Pacquiao PULVERIZES Oscar De La Hoya in 8 Rounds!!!

The fight was stopped after the 8th round with De La Hoya, badly BATTERED. Rounds 7 & 8 were an absolute MASTERPIECE for PACMAN.

An upset of EPIC proportions.

Hail MANNY PACQUIAO, one of the GREATEST Boxers of ALL-TIME!!!!

My condolences to De La Hoya.

Bring on RICKY HATTON.

You the Man, MANNY, you the Man!!!

:)))

Serve me a big piece of crow with side order of humble pie....

Wow Oscar looked like Leonard in 90' or Ali against Holmes. Oscar the cash cow that has fueled the lower classes is finished. It's now Pacman. In the Philippines Pacman is wild in the ring but gentle outside the ring. In America Pacman is marginal on the field but is "Rebellion" at the Gentlemans club. I will take the Asian version.....

I'd like to see Pac beat up Mayweather.

Of course, if the proposed Hatton fight happens, I'll be cheering on Ricky. I like Ricky's chances of getting it done against Pac, although his speed will trouble Ricky for sure.

Wow what a ass whimping he gave Oscar. Man, Oscar got old in less than two years. He looked so much better against Mayweather. Pac utterly took him apart.

Next up for Pacman is Ricky Hatton. I see Pacman also beating Ricky but not as bad as Oscar's beating. That fight will be huge.

I had the fight predicted completely the opposite. Now you all know why the richest boxer on the planet is De La Hoya. Not only did he make an outrageous purse, but he promoted his own event, and - now get this - he made on the booking as well. How many betted on Oscar to win? It seemed to be a no brainer and it should have been. But Oscar cares more about money than winning and he let the little guy pepper away at him. There is not way in my opinion that Manny should could have beaten Oscar unless Oscar let him. So, yes, I think the fight was a hoax, a big fix, and De La Hoya walked away with an incredible amount of money. Maybe we would all do the same if we were in his shoes.

Where is all this hate for Oscar that you're talking about? I don't like him but as far as I know I'm far and away in the minority on that. I live in Texas and De La Hoya has always been practically worshiped by all the Hispanic people I know.

By the way, I'm not ugly, either, dammit!

I was pulling for Oscar because I think he is WAY closer to white than Pac. Id like to see it.
