Yes, Price should retire now. He has to be able to beat guys like Teper.

Price appears to lack confidence now, he wasn't like that before the two Thompson fights.

No contest. Teper - tapir - I like that - is a Turkish bull - a Turkish tapir - and he bulled his way through Price's defense as if it wasn't even there.

Poor chin, poor use of reach, poor footwork, no holding/smothering know how, no ringmanship, and yes, Sharky, low self-esteem means Price is finished; if he thinks of himself as good as Fury he should have made a punching bag out of Tapir as Fury most certainly would. Quit man, quit now and start a painting business.

Just watched the fight, great knockout win for Teper.

As many on this site know, I have a very "open door" policy when considering who is white. Teper is "whiteish" IMO and many Turks are full white so I don't have a problem rooting for or supporting Turks, Persians, or Arabs. I guess technically he is "beige", or a colour similar to Arthur Abraham who is also one of my all time favourite fighters.

Teper is physically a very strong guy, he absolutely bulled Price and that overhand right dealt serious damage. Price had no answer for the Turk's roughhouse tactics. Price was trying to throw the jab but there wasn't enough force behind it to stop the Turk and it seemed like Price just wasn't strong enough to keep the Turk honest. Teper is now 15-0 (10), he has some notable KO wins over decent journeymen type fighters such as Martin Rogan (KO 1), Wladimir Klitschko's sparring partner Negro Michael Sprott (KO 1), African journeyman who usually goes rounds Cisse Salif (KO 2), and of course now this result.

Teper's win is even more impressive than Tony Thompson's was considering that Teper was dominating the whole fight. Thompson also KO'd Price, but in both situations Price had been ahead in the fight.

I'll be interested to watch more of Teper's fights. Not sure that he will ever make a champion, but I think he's obviously a big, strong, guy and he will make things interesting. This KO of Price is very impressive. Would love to see Teper fight Manuel Charr, Dereck Chisora, or Marius Wach in the future. Those would all be interesting fights. Who knows? Maybe even take on Tony Thompson sometime after that.

In all honesty, I'd give Teper a genuine good chance of KOing Deontay Wilder. Wilder was rocked hard by Eric Molina, and if Molina can do that, I think Teper could possibly KO Wilder with the right gameplan.

I agree with the comments that Price should retire. He's been KO'd three times now and doesn't seem to be tough or rough enough to compete with B and A level heavyweights.

Watching Price fight and Wladimir Klitschko shows you exactly why Klitschko is champ and Price is not. Wladimir controls distance better than any other heavyweight by far. A guy of Price size should do the same. He doesn't. He walks in to shots and doesn't have the power to keep guys off him.

Erkan Teper is powerful puncher and seems to land bombs.

Teper knocked out Martin Rogan in 1 minute. Martin Rogan is normally a tough guy who goes rounds. Rogan fought Tyson Fury and Fury stopped him in the 5th, Rogan also had some moments VS Fury.

Teper knocked out Michael Sprott in 1 round. Sprott is a Klitschko sparring partner and a decent fighter. A few months before that Sprott had went 9 rounds with Kubrat Pulev.

Teper knocked out the African journeyman Cisse Salif in 2 rounds. Salif had previously never been stopped in over 10 years, and had fought many up and coming heavyweights such as Odlanier Solis, going the distance with all of them.

And now he has mopped the floor with David Price in 2 one sided rounds.

Impressive power punching from the Turk!

Maybe this guy is the heavyweight Kovalev? Lol.

Yes, excellent power, and a threat to anyone. Now he'll have to fight to just get fights and he's not worth the risk to the the better men.

Actually I thought Price was going to get KO'd in the first 30 seconds. Tapir doesn't have the body beautiful, but you can see how far that can get you in boxing by looking at Price. When I watched the videos of him KO'g Rogan and Sprott I figured him to win. I think he could walk through pencil legged Wilder just the same. He'll be a handful for anybody. Powerful guy, clubbing punches, good defense.

David Price is a giant with a good punch, but unfortunately for him he is a pansy. I believe there are welterweights that could whoop his big, soft ass.

Watch the way Price fights and Wilder. Virtually clones! Wilder has a bit more hand speed, I will admit.(Sorry everyone). I gaurantee Povetkin takes him out in 5 rounds. If I am wrong, then I shoudn't be watching boxing anymore.

Price was KO in 2 rds. He was destroyed. His career as a top tier fighter never materialized. He should stop. Before getting KO'd again and again.

That about sums it up. Not that long ago it looked like Price and Helenius might be part of a new wave of giant white heavies who could fight. Oh well hope there are more in the pipline.

Helenius is coming back, and I predict he will go right to the top.

Yep, that's why I said I believe Mister Tapir would bull his way right through pencil leg Wilder too, just the same.

They say David Price is nice feller so I hope he finds a safer line of work. He got KO'd very badly. I hope he's OK with no concussion or anything. Hopefully they took him to the hospital for examination afterwards. There have been too many heavyweights getting very seriously brain damaged lately.

1 Oct another 2nd round KO win over a designated loser. Price weighs 25 pounds more now than before his comeback, 279 lbs. in this last fight. He looks good at his new weight with no visible fat. Here's the video:

What a waste of talent, he had all the tools, except stamina. Price never resolved his conditioning issues. When he was KO'd several years ago by Thompson, he should have hired a top conditioning coach but he refused. Last night, he was KO'd by a C+ fighter who he should have KO Price was on the verge of stopping Hammer. but he totally gassed out much like Wlad years ago. He is finished.

Yes, what a waste of a physical inheritance. He did all the right things he could in the amateurs but was first rushed as a pro and that destroyed him; which, is a story not unlike so many athletes. If he can't get past Hammer, a fighter whom Fury sent home with style and without even trying, he is now most certainly down and out. His issue has not been so much stamina or strategy, but he gets wound up like a clock and the stress saps his strength and stamina followed by his will.

Too bad about Price. He had the tools to be exceptional but it appears he hasn't put in the work and he's turned into just a big lug with a punch and not much else.

Does Price do any road work? If he does he sure didn't look it.
I remember at one time boxing trainers talked about if a heavyweight was above 240 pounds he would have stamina issues and probably couldn't be of championship quality. Obviously Vitaly and Wlad, Lewis and Fury have shown that large men can have stamina but in general this rule still applies.

Price looks like he has a bunch of issues that are some combination of physical and mental but it looks like at his age if continues fighting he is going to drift down to a name opponent for domestic British prospects to beat.

Once it's obvious you can never win a world title or even be a top level foil to a world class heavyweight the purses get very thin and the potential beatings get much worse. I hope he is honest with himself and retires.
