Tony Thompson looks terrible. I always say, he looks like a typical old black crackhead. Price needs to redeem himself.

Thompson looks like a weekend warrior, you know the kind that has kids and a normal 9 to 5 job and squeezes on workouts when he can. Maybe he is suggesting in a Freudian sense he wants to retire and dote on his reported 9 children???:scared: I suspect Price is going to try and do what Seth Mitchell did a few weeks ago against Johnathan Banks, just box Thompson from the outside and not look for a knockout unless it's glaringly obvious his opponent is ready to go.

I have no problems with Thompson, he turns up to fight, no cameras no flashy intros or trash talking. He didn't run away after he landed a lucky punch and was honest enough to give Pricey a rematch. In all honesty Thompson exposed Price before he steps up to the world championship stage, nobody can make it in the heavyweight division without a solid chin, even if Price wins tonight, his cards are marked, he's the heavyweight version of Amir Khan.

Thompson was knocked out twice by Wladimir Klitschko, people thought he was finished as a top fighter, then he upsets and knocks out Price. He trained hard and anytime someone pulls off a big upset like that, you gotta tip your hat to them.

Thompson also showed class in granting Price an immediate rematch. There was no obligation for Thompson to do that and he could have easily moved on to other fights, but he is doing Price a favour by giving him a rematch.

Thompson has also repeatedly said that Wladimir is an alltime great, and that's refreshing to hear that. It shows he's respectful and genuine.

Actually, Thompson knocking out Price really just shows how amazing Wladimir is. Wladimir is such an alltime great and even the guys he knocks out and toys with like Thompson, are very decent fighters in their own right.

Price gassed out in this one. He really looked tight during the introductions and was heavy legged after some thunderous exchanges in the early rounds. Unless he learns how to box from the outside and relax he isn't going to beat this level of opponent. Wlad was able to figure out what do, but I think he was also a better athlete overall.

1) Don't slug in close when you don't have the chin for it.

2) When your opponent takes your best after slugging it out for 3, start boxing.

Price has a ding-bat trainer/coach. He went in doing exactly what I said and wrote he shouldn't do. I wrote he should fight long range and he did the opposite. He fought short and hooked.

Actually I saw videos of him training and I could tell he hasn't learned to straighten himself out yet. And yes, he's too tense and stiff. His muscles lactate and he can't throw hard after a few shots.

Fury will face the same fate unless he learns to use his size to keep his opponents away at distance. Fury also likes to close in and scrap.

This guy really needs to get a new trainer and get back to the gym with someone (like me) who can push him into being a boxer with power. But I doubt he will. I think he is shot mentally.

Price is a prospect that didnt pan out.95% of boxing prospects wont become elite fighters,Price wasnt the first and wont be the last.If what you say about non Eastern Euros Whites is true then explain how there are 4 current white world champions from the UK and it will be 5 if George Groves beats Degale which is more than any other Euro nation.

I think you are underestimating the toughness of the British white working class man, these are the descendants of world conquerors. If you ever decide to visit the UK you will realize they aren't the emasculated spineless men you think we are, there's a reason we produce a lot of white boxing talent, there is a great common mindset amongst the white working class in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. In England, many are starting to wake up and vote in more right wing political parties, from Labour to the Conservatives and now UKIP gaining favor. The English Defence League are hosting a march in the 2nd city where I live in a few weeks time, I plan on attending.

David price has decent power but that's all he has. His chin was questioned before he turned pro and has been exposed in the first fight against price. People will say tonight was a stamina issue but I believe that it's all mental, he knew that thompson could knock him out and he couldn't mentally get past that. I don't think he's ever going to win a world title.

Disappointing but what can we do? Price lost to a legit top ten heavyweight, a guy that was actually competitive against the best heavyweight(Wladimir) back in 2008. Price lacks a chin but he is still a top 20 fighter.
