Hall of Famer
Yeah, I'm surprised the fight started so early. Thought it would start at 5 at the earliest.
Amren, throw him Wladmir now. He's as ready as he ever will be. Excellent fighter!

I'm hoping Price takes over when the K bros retire so I hope they don't ever fight.
It would be a good fight, Amren. I don't think Price has any chance, but he can come close to matching Wladmir in in overall speed, athleticism, and size.
Nice win. Thompson is a decent step up. One problem for prospects like Price and Fury is that nobody can prepare you for either K brother as they are both a full level better than the 3rd ranked heavyweight.
This will be the best fighter Price has fought thus far in his career. Had this fight been five years ago it would be more of a challenge for Price. Thompson looks like the typical 40 year old black crackhead. He still has some skill so hopefully Price can knock him out.
Terrible stoppage. Price was badly hurt but was on his feet and had taken no previous punishment. The referee should have let him try and fight his way through the moment of trouble. It looked similar to Lewis vs McCall I.
Price looked as tight as a drum out there. For a fighter with his experience he does many things poorly:
1) That pawing jab negates his jab. At distance, his opponent only has to watch out for his straight right. When he does jab he doesn't use his free hand to protect his head.
2) He's as tight as a drum. Looks scared to get hit with anything. When he is attacked with a combination, his instinct is only to cover up instead of slip and counter or move away.
3) No lateral movement. He just steps backwards. He has good foot speed but doesn't use it properly.
4) Low volume of punches. Had he thrown 40 real jabs instead of that pawing nonsense he would have removed his opponent's chances for offense.
5) Early stoppage, but Price deserves a lot of criticism here. Price has to learn how to fake it to the referee to be allowed to continue. He should have shown better composure, look the full count on 1 knee, jumped up, and then ran it off.
If he can't take a punch from a light hitter (relatively speaking) like Thompson, then how is he supposed to handle the Killers? Say what you will of the big traveller, he's much more relaxed in the ring and adapts to his opponents.
At least Thompson was a fair sport about it all and didn't gloat or parade.
