Dafne Schippers is basically Wonder Woman on the track.
A heptathlete turned sprinter, she is among the best in the world in both endeavors.
Her sprinting has been a revelation; she is the current European 60m, 100m and 200m champion.

Here's an article about her, along with a video of her 200m race at the Euro Championships.
An amazing performance and the fastest 200m run by a European in 19 years.

Hoping for more amazing performances from her this year.

Dafne Schippers just joined the sub-11 club, in winning a race today in 10.94 (1.8w)!
She is a total powerhouse! And she is not a full-time sprinter! She splits her time between sprinting and the heptathlon. Amazing!
She along with Jenna Prandini are now in the upper echelon of women's sprinting.
Let's go girls!

Another historic day for Dafne Schippers. I love this girl. I feel like I'm dreaming. Two white female sprinters going sub 11 in the same year. Both of them are elite talent the likes of only a handful of women on earth. They are both also very beautiful. Can you guys imagine if someday at the world champs or olympics that both of these women have a chance to make the medal stand. Who could have thought that was possible just 5 years ago. Congrats to both of them. What a great day!

and, importantly, both from countries where white females haven't been a force in the recent past. More than likely none of the "assistance" the Germans and USSR athletes had.
Good on them, fantastic!
She's going to be pushed by young Brit Asher-Smith but that can only be a good thing

by the way, Prandini and Schippers have the #2 and #3 fastest times respectively, in the world at the moment! Amazing! Even more amazing (as mentioned above by master multi) that Schippers is not east European, and Prandini is American.

this girl deserves more attention on track and field forum!
now that she's fully concentrated on sprint, she's doing amazing performances. Watch this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIPtI0bQOqc

on LEQUIPE.FR

The athlete: Dafne Schippers

Dutchwoman Dafne Schippers, double European champion over 100m and 200m last year, hesitated between sprint and heptathlon this season. His choice is nevertheless obvious. Not just because of his blond hair in the start of 100m, like Christophe Lemaitre few years ago, but because her 10''92 (new personal record) this Saturday, makes her a contender for a world medal. Despite a very average start, she beated clearly the Nigerian Okagbare (10''98) and Ivorian Ahouré (11''01). Very heavy. "Choosing the sprint was not easy but it's been the right decision, she said. It is easier to focus on one thing and I feel more and more comfortable on every competition. "

Great Race from Schippers.
Terrible start, but ran down the rest of the field, which was a quality group of sprinters.
She reminds a little of Lemaitre 4 yrs ago, when he could run down his competition despite his bad starts.
Of course, the similarities end there.

Wow, and difficult to do out of lane 8/9. Very impressive and she's easy on the eyes, I might add.

Thanks for sharing jastral.

Congrats to Dafne Schippers. She won the silver medal and is the 2nd fastest woman in the world. Had the race gone 5 more meters she wins. So similar to Lemaitre from around four years ago when he was in his prime.

If Schippers can get her start right, no one in the world can beat her. Amazing talent. Who would have thought that a Dutch lady could run this fast? Simply incredible. A huge congrats to Dafne in only her first full year as a sprinter.

Oh god don't jinx her by comparing to lemaitre, I'm sure her coaches are fully competent and know what they are doing.

The Bride of Leprechaun http://prntscr.com/88e5ir

She does have a crazy fast start though
Schippers has really improved her start in the past it was very gradual similar to somebody trying to speed up on a bicycle. Without Felix in the final Schippers has to be the betting favourite to win the 200 as she was coming on like gang busters against the "Pocket Rocket".

Ps I have never seen such a short sprinter win at major meets, back in the 80's Nellie Cooman who ran for Holland had a similar build but really was a 60 meter specialist who faded down the stretch and never won any world medals beyond indoor ones because of this. I suspect the new doping regiment is helping SAFP when it comes to maintaining her crazy initial burst. Also that hair was crazy she looked like she was Adrian Adonises girlfriend....
