FERNDALE, Michigan - Police say a first date went from bad to worse when a man skipped out on the restaurant bill, then stole his date's car.

Police say 23-year-old Terrance Dejuan McCoy had dinner with a woman April 24 at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Detroit suburb of Ferndale. The woman says the two met a week earlier at a Detroit casino and she knew McCoy only as "Chris."

The woman told police that McCoy said he left his wallet in her car and asked for keys. He then sped away in the 2000 Chevrolet Impala.

The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak reports that police identified McCoy by a photo he'd sent to the woman's cellphone, and his phone number.

McCoy is charged with unlawfully taking the car, a five-year felony. He waived a preliminary exam and was bound over for trial Thursday. Edited by: white is right

Chris371, to each his own...but my advise is not frequent clubs where the gangsta/thugs are. The rationale is not because you're afraid of them, but most of that element uses numbers, weapons or cheap-shots as SOP. One of my old buddies is a bouncer at a few clubs in Atlanta, and can attest to the cowardly tactics of the "gangsta" wanna-be's. Unless you're ready to do some serious damage (and risk lawsuits, attorney's fees, etc.), steer clear of "Da Club".

I've been in more than my share of brawls (back in my single/pre-kids days), and looking back I could have avoided many of them. No hood rat is worth facing battery charges or paying restitution for/to...unless they're trying to rob you, etc. I'd find a more White friendly venue to hang out at (sports bar, country bar, etc.), or stay out of bars period. I know that might seem old-fashion, but you want to stay out of unnecessary trouble partner...trust me!

If he is truly a ghetto guy and not a wannabee. Avoid all confrontations. You may win the bar fight but lose the shoot out. Guys like this frequently get 86'ed and retaliate by shooting at the bouncers, patrons or rivals. I can't tell you how many murders I have read about in the tabloids where this scenario happened.
