College Hoops Season 2024-25

Princeton beats Rutgers and their two “top 3 draft picks” Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. But I’m sure not one Princeton player will be in the NBA.
As Jimmy Chitwood says......"You Love to See It". The upset and not the lack of respect.

I take back the nice things I said about Rutgers earlier in the season. All of their White players have been sent to the bench.

For Princeton, I’d say that their 2 best players have an outside shot at the NBA. Caden Pierce (Alec’s brother) and Xaivian Lee (Korean) are the top players in the Ivy League. I think either could “transfer up” to a bigger program if they wanted.

Steve Pickiell is a very solid basketball coach who has already "won more with less" at Rutgers. His teams used to overcome lousy shooting with suffocating defense and deliberate tempo. Whatever stars aligning plus shenanigans necessary to get his two "blue chippers" onto the team this year is not going to be sustainable going forward. I hope he learns a lesson this season.

Duke's Cooper Flagg having his best all-around game as freshman scoring 24 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, 3 rebounds and a blocked shot as 4th ranked Duke handled Virgina Tech 88-65.
Freshman Kon Knueppel had 13 points.

Purdue beating Rutgers at Rutgers. Purdue with multiple Whites in their rotation. Rutgers features Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper, the two consensus top 3 draft picks along with Cooper Flagg. I would think if you had 2 of the top 3 players in the NCAA you would have a better record than 8-7. But, that upside.

Duke and Cooper Flagg playing Miami tonight at 9 on ESPN if anyone's interested. Flagg alone is worth watching. Knueppel not bad either.

Knueppel 18 first half points! Flagg only took 5 shots scoring 8 points, 6 assists and 3 boards.

I'm happy for Kon Knueppel thus far. It's not easy being on a team where everyone is overshadowed by the Number 1 Draft Pick. The media, fans, etc. all talk about him and they should. However, an NBA Talent like Kon Knueppel should get far more praise. He needs to help his draft stock with some huge games in my opinion.

I hope I don't jinx him, but Andrej Stojakovic is one of the smoothest white college players I have seen this year. He has a complete game. I hope he plays one more year of college ball.

Duke wins the ACC Tournament Championship over Louisville 73-62 without Cooper Flagg. Hopefully he's ready to go next week win the NCAA Tournament begins.
Duke's Kon Knueppel was named ACC Tournament MVP averaging 21 points, 5.6 boards and 5 assists per game.

The SEC has gotten a lot of attention as the best conference this year and that could possibly be true. Most of the teams are very black heavy but in the Championship game starting now, the teams are probably the two most “White friendly”. Tennessee (ranked #8) has Croatian Igor Milicic as a key starter and big-man Cade Phillips as a key reserve. They face #4 ranked Florida who start forward Alex Condon. Then 3 of their top 4 bench pieces are White. Forward Thomas Haugh, guard Urban Klavzar (Slovenian) and 7’-1” center Micah Handlogton who returned from injury late in the year. The Gators could be peaking at the right time for a deep tournament run next week.

Not sure if anyone mentioned that Fran McCaffrey was canned this week.
Iowa’s head coach had been there 15 years and always had a bright lineup. I watched a lot of Iowa games this year. Wasn’t always pretty. They ended up around 500 and that’s just not good enough
They have a broad as their AD, not sure if she’s woke or not. Hopefully, Iowa’s team moving forward will stay true to local, white talent.
Same with the football team. I’m hoping Ferentz stays on a few more years.

Carolina Speed, I believe Knueppel will have a better career than Flagg. He iced those two free throws against N.C. like it was at practice has unlimited shooting range and can take to the hoop. He has impressed me all year. This is not a knock on Flagg, but for right now Knueppel has more to offer IMO.

Booth, that's an interesting take on Knueppel and Flagg. To be honest, I've thought about that as well. When I first think about Knueppel's shooting range and accuracy, I would agree, but Knueppel 39% from 3 is only shooting 2% better than Flagg's at 37%. Knueppel is one of those shooters that has to get hot. When he is, it's almost unstoppable, but he can slump as well. Flagg is just about the same all the time.
Knueppel also takes it inside quite a bit and has been successful. We'll see how that translates to the NBA.
Flagg is a better all around player. He does everything. He's the equivalent of baseball's 5-Tool player. The Mike Trout of basketball! Flagg is taller and longer as well. To me Flaggs's physical attributes and skill set is better for the NBA, but I wouldn't be surprised if Knueppel has a very good NBA career.
Also remember, Flagg is almost a year and a half younger than Knueppel. I believe Flagg is rushing it a bit by graduating HS early and going to the NCAA and then the jump to the NBA. He'll be the youngest number 1 draft pick ever! I didn't think Flagg would play as well as he has at such a young age, so what do I know. I hope we're witnessing the best American born white player in Cooper Flagg since Larry Bird. BTW, like Bird, Flagg could've scored alot more points than he has, but he gets all of his teammates involved with his rebounding and passing skills.
There's so much pressure on Flagg, but so far he has handled himself well. Knueppel has too.

Fran wasn’t perfect but definitely enjoyed some of the talent he utilized over the years! Will also miss the Frantrums. Figured he was out when his son transferred out to Butler last spring.
