Middle Tennessee Free Safety Reed Blankenship had another solid game 13 tackles + Forced a Fumble
Wake Forest Hybrid LB Luke Masterson had a nice game! tied team lead in tackles w 9 + 2 sacks & 3 TFL's!
Yes indeed Bucky ...Chad Magyar finally with some carries ( 3 - 12) also a Kick Returner but ball was never kicked to him....has not run the ball yet early this season. What does UNLV have to lose @ 0- 3?
.....Fresno St QB Jake Haener led the comeback ...378 yards passing & 5 TD's ....seems to have the "It" factor! Taking a beating again playing in pain in another gutsy performance!
App St. WR Thomas Hennigan finished with 9 receptions for 123 yards receiving has been one of favorite WR's too
Wake Forest WR Taylor Morin had 3 rec for 63 yards & TD
Jimmy C. in the QB Thread highlighted Middle Tennessee QB Chase Cunningham big game 379 yards passing & 5 TD's + 65 yards rushing ...is this why Ashton O'Hara transferred?
Yes Leonardfan ..i'll be curious to see what NFL Scouts say about UVA QB Brennen Armstrong too...more video game stats tonight 407 yards passing & 2 TD's ; added 33 yards rushing ...he's a lefty & can run when necessary
Nice summary as always my friend! Blankenship should be picked in the top 3 rounds next year and Masterson should also get draft consideration! I wish Groulx stayed with Wake Forest - He has virtually disappeared since entering the transfer portal. Sam Hartman is an underrated QB too - WF is not perfect from a CF perspective but they do have some pieces. Armstrong's emergence has been a good story - he's a fun QB to watch and still has two years of eligibility left after this season.
Chase Cunningham took over the starting gig from NC State transfer Bailey Hockman last week. Hockman left the program. O'Hara was a fun player to watch, I'll keep an eye out for him today.
Looking towards todays action. Game of the week is Wisco-ND - I would like Coan to have a big game vs the Badgers today as they have one of the better defenses in the country. It would really help his draft stock in a wide open QB draft. Sticking with QBs - UGA goes up against Vanderbilt so JT Daniels should have a big day and also improve his draft stock - I dislike UGA but they do have the freshman TE and the WR McKonkey who get involved some. Daniels is fun to watch though, great deep ball thrower and very good arm strength.
Phil Jurkovec being injured has caused my interest in BC to wane. They do have an intriguing player in TE Trae Barry but I do not know if Grosel will be able to get him the ball much.
Iowa should dominate Colorado St. I would like to see Petras throwing the ball today and getting in reps as the Hawkeyes prepare to enter Big Ten play.
Stanford is not the Stanford of old but it looks like McKee may be the answer at QB and their are some other pieces to root for against UCLA this evening. Sparty should beat the quota lead Huskers - Martinez job security is one of the more bizarre things in college football - he's still able to survive off hype from 3-4 years ago. The Spartans are a tough team and Martinez only plays well and puts up numbers against lower quality defenses.
