College Football week 3

Didn't even check to see if there was a game on last night. Didn't miss much!

Nick Andersen led the Demon Deacons with 11 total tackles/5 solo and credited with 1/2 TFL.

Looking ahead to this week's games.

Tonight Indiana takes on Indiana St. A game the Hoosiers should win putting them at 3-0 as they enter Big 10 play after this week.

Colgata at Syracuse - QB Steven Angeli has been pretty good for the 1-1 Orange including a great comeback last week for a win. Dan Villari went over 100 yards receiving and could put up big numbers again this week.

Colorado vs Houston - @Jimmy Chitwood already made some astute observations about the Cougars in their 2025 preview. Weigman, Connors and Koziol make Houston worth tracking this year. Coach "Prime" will be starting RS Soph QB Ryan Staub.

Kansas St vs Arizona - The Wildcats were a popular preseason pick to win the Big 12. Things have not started well for them this season. Arizona is 2-0 and has 2 White WRs in Luke Wysong and Brandon Phelps contributing on offense.

New Mexico vs UCLA - Just rooting for the UCLA trainwreck to continue

As always Saturday offers an interesting slate of games

Oregon vs Northwestern - The Wildcats offense was much better against an FCS foe last week after an abysmal week one performance. Facing the Ducks will be a big challenge.

Clemson vs Ga Tech - This is a must win game for the Tigers to stay in the playoff hunt. Over the past few years Clemson starts out slow before going on some runs. Not sure of Haynes King will play for the Yellow Jackets due to injury.

Oklahoma vs Temple - After an impressive showing against Michigan the Sooners and current Heisman frontrunner John Mateer take on the Owls.

Wisconsin vs Alabama - An early season statement game for whichever team comes out on top. QB Danny O'Neil has been impressive and the Badgers defense very good through 2 games. Alabama QB Ty Simpson has played well himself but the Crimson Tide are no longer the dominant team in the game. If Wisconsin wins then Fickell will be viewed as having the program turn a corner in year 3, if DeBoer loses than his seat will probably get hotter.

CMU v Michigan - Just rooting for the upset here.

UGA vs Tennessee - Another game that could have playoff implications down the road. UGA seems to have decided not to open up the offense yet for Stockton, perhaps that will change this week. Stockton has been pretty good so far and has a dual threw dimension. Would be nice to see Cash Jones and London Humphrey get involved!

Oregon St vs Texas Tech - The Red Raiders are a team worth watching in the Big 12. Behren Morton, Coy Eakin and freshman RB Adam Hill all very good players. Oregon St WR Trent Walker is also off to a fine start for the 0-2 Beavers so a big game for him would be great.

USC vs Purdue - USC has faced two overmatched teams so far and run up the score on them both. The Boilermakers are a surprise 2-0 team. Cuck Riley's teams seem to start every season like this before slowing down and getting exposed. Another game I am rooting for the underdog in.

Youngstown St vs Michigan St - An FCS vs FBS matchup. Youngstown state features a dynamic dual threat QB Beau Brungard who has 409 yards rushing/236 yards passing through two games. Will be interesting to check the box score after this one to see how he plays tomorrow.

Washington St vs North Texas - A very palatable game here. The Cougars have started off 2-0 with contributions from White athletes on both sides of the ball. QB Jaxon Potter has played very well and seems to have established himself as the starter this season. RB Kirby Vorhees is the leading rusher on the team although the Cougars have not had much success rushing the ball. For North Texas QB Drew Mestermaker is a good one and could be the reason QB Chandler Morris decided to transfer out. WRs Wyatt Young and Landon Sides are also contributors on offense for the Mean Green.

Pittsburgh vs WVU - Backyard brawl, early season rivalry game. I personally would like to see Holstein put up another fine performance. He is going largely under the radar so far this season, much like last year.

Iowa St vs Arkansas St - Certainly qualifies as a caste matchup in 2025. Hopefully Carson Hansen has a huge game to get on pace for 1k rushing yards.

UTEP vs Texas - Another game to prep Arch Manning before conference play starts in a few weeks. As usual, all eyes will be on him and many will be scrutinizing every mistake and hoping he fails, we know who they are. The rumors about injuries were brushed off by Sarkasian but who knows. WR Parker Livingstone has emerged as Manning's favorite target which is a nice early season story.

USF vs Miami - Not much of interest here outside of QB Carson Beck re-establishing himself as a top tier college QB and early round draft pick. USF upset UF last week so Miami playing it's second quality opponent so far this season in 3 weeks.

Ohio vs Ohio St - Julian Sayin has been outstanding so far this season. Reminds me alot of Aaron Rodgers to be honest.

Western Michigan vs Illinois - The Illini have established themselves as a very good team this year. Altmyer is a very good QB. RB Aidan Laughery has yet to get on track with only 15 carries through 2 games. Where is Cole Cabana for WMU?

Old Dominion vs Va Tech - QB Colton Joseph has been very good this season. An upset vs Va Tech would be great as they are one of the most odious caste teams in the country. Sadly, standout LB Jason Henderson as decided to retire due to injury.

Florida vs LSU - The Tigers should destroy Florida on paper. They have a great defense, a top 5 QB in the country. The Gators have the next great black hype at QB and Billy Napier coaching for his job.

Texas A&M vs Notre Dame - QB CJ Carr played well leading the Irish to a comeback against the Hurricanes in his first career start. Despite coming up short he flashed a lot of traits that make up a good QB. Texas A&M is pure SEC coal slop.

UMASS vs Iowa - Will the Hawkeyes offense finally get an identity this week? The defense again is very good.

ECU vs Coastal Carolina - Hopefully it's the Katin Houser vs Tad Hudson bowl. The original NIL grifter black QB for Coastal Carolina has been awful so far.

Vanderbilt vs South Carolina - The next "dynamic" dual threat savior for the NFL looked pretty mediocre last week against a FCS foe that held him in check. The Commodores while not exactly White friendly are the team to be rooting for this week.

Utah vs Wyoming - An upset here would be great. Hopefully the Cowboys give Sam Scott 25+ carries tomorrow.

Duke vs Tulane - Battle of transfer QBs - Darian Mensah was of course hyped up by the media as an underrated gem in the portal. QB Jake Retzlaff was forced to transfer out of BYU due to breaking school rules around college coed sexual conduct. Duke has Cooper Barkate off to a nice start and on pace for 1k yards through 2 games averaging an elite 22.8 YPC.

Navy vs Tulsa - Lots of Whites running the ball for Navy!

Minnesota vs Cal - Really nice late game. The Gophers have been outstanding through two weeks. First year starter QB Drake Lindsey has been good, this will be his first real test. Whites on defense at CB - John Nestor, FS Koi Perich and LB Maverick Baranowski are all great players. WR Logan Loya has yet to be featured in the passing game. They go up against a Cal team starting a poly freshman QB that struggled in week 2 after playing well against what looks like a bad Oregon State defense. Time will tell.

Boston College vs Stanford - ACC games being played on the West coast. I hate college football realignment! Stanford has been a disappointment, Gulbranson has not panned out so far. BC QB Dylan Lonergan is fantastic though. It's too bad he went to BC instead of Stanford!

Texas St vs Az State - The Bobcats feature another White trio similar to Houston - QB Brad Jackson a first year starter has been fantastic so far this year, Lincoln Pare looks explosive and Beau Sparks leads college football with 5 TDs so far. QB Sam Leavitt faced criticism after the Sun Devils upset last week. I bet he wishes for more players that look like Cam Skattebo! Too bad they are going to be on the opposing sideline next week.
