Not sure if this was reported......

I was doing my running back research for this season and saw that Cole Fagan was kicked off of the Air Force team due to a one time cocaine use I believe his freshman year.....Court marshaled We heard he left the program but not for what....lHow many lowlifes do 10 times worse and still get chances? While researching, some of these guys look like they’re 30....Some of the dumbest names you’ve ever heard..More two last name guys and others insisting on being called Jr or the third, etc.....One thing I did see I hope is wrong is Keegan Duncan, the big, fast athletic kid that transferred from Boise to Utah St may have moved to linebacker....
There’s not much out there yet, I hope it’s an error....I also saw Josh Hokit slotted at fullback, no surprise......

Nebraska dual threat junior QB Noah Vedral has entered the transfer portal. With overrated Adrian Martinez still their starter ( it seems like he has been there forever), Vedral, who has excellent speed and potential to be a very good college QB, decided it was time to move on as the QB position is getting more crowded. Vedral followed HC Scott Frost from UCF so his next team will be his third. I hope he shows better judgement in choosing a team than Tate Martell, who foolishly transferred to Miami.

Worth noting CM's youngest brother 2019 recruit Luke is there. He is also a dual threat QB and they are bringing in speedster dual threat 2020 QB Logan Smothers as well. Although I suspect Smothers will be redshirted since I believe there are a couple of other QBs on the roster.

That's too bad Frost did not give Vedral a fair shake at the starting job - it will be interesting to see where he ends up. Maybe McCaffery will have better luck. Adrian Martinez is a black quarterback hype job and the blind devotion to him by Frost is hurting his rebuild.

I knew as soon as they entrenched Martinez as their starter Vedral would be left out to dry. Third time's a charm.

It's sad because that roster is now filled with white athletes. Hopefully Martinez sputters out of the gates and McCaffery can take over. The swiss cheese twins were both drafted last weekend for some reason even though Nebraska's rush defense was ranked 94th in the country and they were both occupying the defensive interior for the Cornhuskers...dat upside! Logan Smothers was someone mentioned here as a big time sleeper - not well recruited but Nebraska offered him and their seemed to be a buzz around him as well.

Ya it'd be nice to see McCaffrey take over! For that to happen they'd have to take the training wheels off of Martinez, he'll most likely hold onto the job no matter how shitty he plays as long as he's there. He's been annointed as a Great One since his Freshman season lol.

The Swiss Cheese twins! Ha! They run really fast in spandex though!

Smothers is interesting. 4.5 speed

I just saw Jamie Newman transferred from Wake to Georgia....
Maybe one of you guys mentioned this earlier, I just found out...
Good for Sam Hartman, who seemed to shine early then lost his job...
I watched so many games due to Cade Carney.....
Hartman and Carney were a good duo to watch....
It reminded me of watching Illinois, wanting to see Epstein rip long runs only to see their lumbering sCam qb take the ball most of the time.....
One of you guys posted that Newman was thought of as a high pick next year and I was thinking no way.....Georgia???...Really????

That was me @rockybleier - I was going over some early 2021 draft projections and he was in the 1st round of several mock drafts. Sam Hartman was fantastic as a true freshman and then again in spot duty last season - he should have remained the starter but lost his job due to injury to the black quarterback Newman. At least Hartman should regain his rightful spot as the starter at Wake Forest for the next two seasons. I don't really expect Newman to set the world on fire at UGA either unless the UGA staff decides to open up the offense (Kelly Bryant was a major nonfactor for Mizzou and went undrafted - I expect the Newman transfer to yield similar results). I will be rooting for Newman and UGA to both be big time failures this season.

Georgia has incoming Freshman Carson Beck. Who I think has the potential to be a big time player. Let's hope Newman duds out and Beck takes over soon.

We all know how dreadful the SEC is but there are 3 WR’s who have a chance to be impact players for their teams in 2020.

Slade Bolden 5’11” 191lbs - Alabama (SO)
Bolden got some reps at multiple positions in 2019 as a redshirt freshman. Slot WR, wildcat QB, punt returner, and led the team in special teams tackles. He has a chance to be the 3rd or 4th receiver for Bama this year. If it doesn’t happen this year he will be a starter within the next 2 years. Alabama has shown in the past they are willing to play white receivers (Gehrig Dieter, Richard Mullaney) who both spent a few years in the NFL.

2019 stats: 2-34 receiving, 4-10 rushing, 1-1 6 yards 1 TD passing, 6 special teams tackles.

Barrett Banister 6’0” 200lbs - Mizzou (JR)
Banister took over as the starting slot receiver towards the end of 2019 and played well with the chances he was given. He SHOULD be a full time starter in 2020. Banister is a former walk-on who performed well enough to see the field as a freshman and catch 8 passes for 88 yards. His sophomore season he became a contributor.

2019 stats: 27-246-1 receiving

Caleb Chapman 6’5” 200lbs Texas A&M (SO)
Chapman is important because he’s a big bodied athletic outside receiver while the previous guys are strictly slot receivers. Chapman was listed #2 on the depth chart last season but was never given a chance. He started in the season opener but didn’t catch any passes and only had one catch in the season in addition to some special teams tackles. 2 of A&M’s starting receivers are now gone to the NFL and Chapman has a good chance to earn a starting job in 2020. He has the potential to be a red zone threat and playmaker at 6’5”. Look out for him in 2020 to breakout on the scene as a key player. Lets hope that Kellen Mond can improve this season for the sake of Chapman.

2019 stats: 1-6 receiving, 3 special teams tackles

I am especially excited about the talent of Chapman and Bolden. Bolden is a rare breed at Alabama. The previous white receivers Mullaney and Dieter were transfers. Bolden is "home grown." He is sort of a Taysom Hill type. Another kind of Taysom Hill type is Texas WR Jake Smith. I hope both sophomores have breakout seasons this year. Smith has a head start coming off a solid freshman campaign. Chapman could be the next Ed McCaffrey.

A little Ivy League news.

I had mentioned previously that speedster RB Miko Maessner will be at Princeton. CB Payton Talley committed there too.

Fine looking speed receiver Josh Casilli signed locally with Penn. That will keep the talent pipeline there flowing. With star junior Ryan Cragun and with Casilli in the wings they are carrying on in the tradition of Justin Watson who we hope has a breakout season with Tom Brady this season.

A new name is tailback Drew Powell out of Florida. He has committed to Cornell and has good size at 6'1 185 pounds with terrific speed (4.47).

Yes indeed Shadowlight...always good to get the Ivy League news from you! Looking for RB Zane Dudek(Yale) to have a BIG year! Will keep an eye on Penn's dynamic WR's! Enjoyed following Justin Watson in College....ready to see him shine with the Bucs !

Remember many years ago WR Chas Guessner(Brown) tore it up in pres season with the Bucs; only to get cut at the end. Former LaCrosse player; had Super Bowl Ring Rookie season w Patriots) Brandon Kaufman (Eastern Washington) for the Bills also come to mind too!
BOTH of them should have been on NFL Teams

I’ve got my research going on for this upcoming season.....Lots of potential staters and heightened role players......Ive got 30+ running backs in FBS.
(Without digging up every PWO)
Borghi and Remsberg are for sure starters, but plenty of others have a shot....
Groshek, Horvath, McDaniel, McChesney, Epstein. Gest, Trotter...
Plenty of of others will get some carries, hopefully significant carries...
There’s always a Laird/Horvath that surprises us.....

I’m looking for Chad Magyar, or dare I suggest Jake Funk to have a big season...
Zane Dudek needs a big year at Yale, he’s on the 2021 draft radar for some teams.

My sleeper of the year prediction......
Baden Pinson.....Coastal Carolina....

Let’s get this damn virus behind us, play ball and be successful politically in November

Good to see some of our guy's getting some buzz for next season. All these athletes on Defense have been mentioned here before!!

DT Jack Heflin NIU

FS Brady Breeze Oregon

SS Brandon Easterling Dayton

https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2020/05/remember-their-name/

For Offense
Dual Threat QB Dustin Krum, Kent State

*2500yds 20TDs only 2INTs. Plus 700yds rushing and 6TDs! Had a breakout performance against Utah State in their Bowl Game!!

TE Zach Davidson Central Missouri 6'7 245. 800yds and 15TDs last season. Also a great Punter with a 42yd average!

OT Drew Himmelman 6'10 315! Illinois State
*Huge man that moves well, had Basketball Offer from NIU out of HS. Iowa offered him a walk on spot.

OT Dillon Radunz 6'6 300lbs North Dakota State. *Huge snowplow OLs is a huge reason for NDSUs success!!

C Jimmy Morrissey Pitt 6'3 305

"He did not allow a sack in 2019. He is a tough, gritty, lunch pail carrying type of guy. Morrissey is a supreme talent at the center position in the 2021 Draft."

Of course he's a white guy with a scouting report like that!

@Bucky - good stuff as usual. Krum outperformed the overrated quota Love in their Bowl game. Brazy Breeze should be a late 1st/early 2nd round pick - it's a shame only NFLDRAFTDIAMONDS seems to have him on their radar. His Rose Bowl performance was epic! It's a shame Schooler had to be moved to WR by the incompetent Taggart because they would of been a great safety tandem.

I remember watching that Bowl Game and thinking "man who is this Krum guy and why didn't I pay more attention to him during the season?! " 6'3 200lbs definitely won't sneak up on me in 2020.

No doubt it would have been fun to see Schooler and Breeze roaming the secondary!

Former Boston College WR Christian McStravick has transferred to Rice and will be immediately eligible as a grad transfer. He joins 6’5” Brad Rozner and slot demon Austin Trammell, if he can become a starter that would make it 3 white guys! McStravick would be ideal to start at the other WR spot since he is a 6’4” veteran target who has been playing at a power 5 school the last 4 years. He is still recovering from an ACL tear, he might be able to have 2 years remaining since he missed all of last season due to the injury.

Alabama WR Mac Hereford has transferred to Vanderbilt, this one interests me because I wonder if he will get playing time there. I really hope he does, he has 1 year left so it would be nice to see him have a role even if he isn’t a starter.

Speedster 2020 Colorado WR Jackson Conelly has opted out of football. He will instead run track at the Air Force Academy. Which means one less white football speedster.

On another minor note Harvard WR Cody Chrest will play one more season at Sam Houston State as a graduate transfer. Chrest had an excellent season at Harvard with a 45-706 stat line. Those numbers might have been team highs. Very good receiver who has a brother Jaxson (4.49 speed) in the class of 2021. Wouldn't surprise me if Jaxson lands on an Ivy League team.

Tua's brother has entered the transfer portal as Mac Jones has solidified a firm hold as the starting Alabama QB. Jones has NFL potential for sure.

The Cal State system announced that all 23 schools would be going online for the fall semester. For FBS this includes SJSU, SDSU, and Fresno. All in the Mountain West.

First shoe to drop in scrapping the 2020 season? Time will tell

Former Stanford DB Zach Hoffpauir passed away yesterday. He was discussed a lot leading up to the 2017 NFL draft as a 2 year starter who also had a stint in professional baseball. He was Christian McCaffreys best friend and was recently hired by Ed McCaffrey to coach at Northern Colorado. RIP Zach, gone too soon.

That is sad to hear. He was a very good DB - Should of been a safety/nickleback in the NFL.
