College Football News

NIL has opened a ridiculous can of worms. Honestly, I hope this is the beginning of the end of college sports. Insanity rules the world.

The argument for NIL when players and others who stand to profit from it started braying is that it would compensate them for use of their "name, image, likeness" for jersey sales, their likeness in video games, etc. That sounds reasonable that one should get a cut of profits being generated directly by their "name, image or likeness". Instead it has turned into just a direct-pay mercenary program. Can anyone demonstrate that Dontavious, Vonzella or Shaquan who are going to be paid $5 million generated that much with their NIL? The answer is doubtless "NO" for 90% or more.

Decent list but I’d put Klubnick and Beck above Lagway, Allar, and the two SEC non-Whites. Also, another Coach Slime hype-job sneaking in at #10. There are countless better QBs.

AGREED Freethinker! The list is Flawed no doubt! For sure have Klubnik & Beck higher! No way Salter should be @ #10
.......WHERE is John Mateer now at OKLAHOMA?? That guy should be "High Up" this list

This list is 6 QBs ...5 White
Including up and coming Sam Leavitt.....oddly Garrett Nussmeier is not one of the 6

So checked out 24 7 ...Hot of the press today
Lets see...
At least 2 career Starts are required to make this one ....so Julian Sayin (Ohio St) might end up being a Top 10 QB
..other Honorable Mention QBs ...John Mateer (HOW is he NOT in this Top 10? Asleep at the wheel as usual!)
Josh Hoover (TCU) ; Sawyer Robertson (Baylor) ;

10 Jackson Arnold ...Auburn
9 Diego Pavia ....Vanderbilt
8 Drew Allar ...Penn State
7 Fernando Mendoza ....Indiana
6 Lanorris Sellers...So.Carolina
5 Carson Beck ...Miami
4 Sam Leavitt ...Arizona State
3 Arch Manning ...Texas
2 Garrett Nussmeier ....LSU
1 Cade Klubnik ...Clemson

9 out of 10 not bad!

Much better list!

Leavitt has the right attitude, despite until this day I'd always prefer him handing off the ball (or throwing a screen or short wheel route).

Pavia had to SUE the NCAA just to get this upcoming extra year since he couldn't get any non-JUCO interest out of high school. Imagine if he impresses so much that he gets drafted... what would that mean? Even a UFDA contract or making a practive squad would seemed an unfathomable accomplishment for him just two years ago on this date.

I'm interested to see what Mendoza does in the Indiana offense - he has some creative highlights!

sounds like the plaintiff went forward with the addition of Skatteboo after Skatteboo became nationally known...

He's likely counting on Cam being drafted, getting a nice rookie contract and actually getting an opportunity to start in the NFL. Let's hope his optimism turns out to be warranted. The more cynical types would say he clearly has no idea how the Caste System works, particularly for White running backs.
