Ethan Happ 2nd Triple Double of The Year!

Davidson's Jon Axel Gudmudsson scored 27pts on 9/12 shooting leading his team to a victory over a good St Louis squad.

Kyle Guy scored 15 and Ty Jerome with nearly a triple double.

Happ as you mentioned has his problems. But again agreed, he should be DRAFTED! He's 6'10, great handles, great passer. Underrated defender. Averages a block and 2 steals a game in his career.

Reuvers has really solidified Wisconsin. He's a presence Defensively (as seen against Iggy). Has nice all around game on offense. He's grown a lot(literally added 25lbs) since being thrust into starting role as a True Freshman last year. That breakaway dunk on the assist from Happ was suhweet!

Still mad Tyler Herro ditched his homestate, though it seems like he made the right choice playing in a more fast paced system at Big Blue. Glad to see him pick up his scoring. He's due for a Great Spring.

Wieskamp is indeed a young gun to keep an eye on. I like that he's another wing prospect with potential. Mooney has been reminiscent of Harangody! It's a shame Pfluegger never developed as a scorer, glad hell be back next year.

Marquette's Sam Hauser has had a great year playing 2nd fiddle to their Star ballhog in Howard. Hauser scored 25pts and 7reb in Golden Eagles last outing.

I really like Herro's game, it's smooth and he has high basketball IQ, very good court vision, great shooting mechanics. I've heard that Herro couldn't play at Wisconsin because of his grades, but it all comes from bitter Wisconsin fans that still hate on him which doesn't make sense that they would if it wasn't his choice.

Kentucky probably has a much better coaching staff, but he would have been the man at Wisconsin and playing with other whites that would get the ball to him. Kentucky is mostly black and they don't look to get him the ball, and from what I've seen Reid Travis is a black hole in the low post, once he gets it there he doesn't kick the ball out, even if he's tripled team. I watched a game where Travis was in the post tripled team, right by Tyler Herro who was wide open for a corner three which should have been in his vision, but he took the bad post shot and missed. Coach Calipari definitely likes Herro though, he is an anchor on offense and defense (which is much improved), so he gets a lot of minutes even after his slump starting the season.

If it's because his grades, that stinks. Not often a White Athlete has trouble with admissions at UW. Regardless best of luck to Herro. I still think he needs another year of college to fine tune his game unless he really flashes in March.

If Herro was on This year's Badger Team he'd have open 3 pt shots all year with Happ in the post dishing out dimes.

Matt McClung put on a show today in a big win over St Johns. He had 25 pts, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The kid was all over the court on both ends of the ball. He
has his three point shot going now and that is making him a defensive nightmare. McClung has also shown that he has nba range in his 3 pt shooting. It's too bad
that Georgetown will most likely miss the tounament. Would love to see Matt M. putting on a show during march madness. Every game he seems to improve just
a little bit more. If they make the N.I.T. Tournament I will have to watch Georgetown to see how they do. I think the big question on most peoples minds are will
Matt McClung be a one and done. I doubt it. He should come back for another year of college and then turn pro!

Wisconsin, Iowa, Virginia. Marquette has the Hauser Bros. All in the Top 25 . Michigan starts 2 white guys including a Star Freshman and a 7ft Center.

Not sure if it was a fluke but was channel surfing 2 weeks ago or so and saw Iowa had 5 whites on the floor. In all seriousness, when was the last time a top 20-25 team had 5 whites on the floor -- even for just a few minutes? Did Duke teams of the early 90s ever have this happen?

Saint Mary’s (California) started and played an all-White starting five and team a couple years ago when they were really good. if memory serves, they finished the season in the Top 25 (they only had three or four losses?), losing only one non-conference game and to a Top 5-10 Gonzaga (i think) three times in conference and conference tourney play. “strangely” the Gaels were excluded from the NCAA Tournament that year and were possibly the highest-ranked team in history that wasn’t invited to the “Dance.”

all this is off the top of my head, so please forgive me if i miss a detail or two. but they were all-White and very, very good.

The Duke team that won the national championship vs Butler in 2010 had 3 & many times 4 white starters! They were led by Kyle Singler on Duke and Butler was lead by Gordon Hayward. That Duke Team had 6 of 12 whites and they were the stars of the team. Here is a video of the last few minutes of the game.

My favorite teams this year have been Texas Tech, Virginia, N Carolina St, Baylor, Villanova, WVU, K St, Miami(FL) and even 2 teams I usually despise in Georgetown and Kentucky who are both led by generational white guards in Gtwns Mac Mcclung and UKs Tyler Herro! I also keep up with annual CF favorites in Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, BYU, Gonzaga(who have fell off a bit), Marquette, Oregon St, Butler, and Purdue!

The 1st group of teams I mentioned are mostly black teams in the Big-12, Big-East, and ACC who rarely if ever play white guards other than senior night.
However it seems like all the top teams in the B-12, BigEast, and ACC field strong white presences with white G's trending up especially! This year all of the following teams start atleast 1 or more white G's in Texas Tech, Baylor, NC St, WVU, Virginia, Villanova, Clemson, Georgetown, Kentucky, K St, Louisville, and even Miami(FL) are on the white G band-wagon.

Maybe the white PG/G isn't going extinct, and were seeing a new-era of white G's that have adjusted to fit in today's game. Hopefully this little revival of white guards in high-major D1 hoops is here to stayand maybe we'll see more get recruited but really only time will tell...

other teams i recommend watching if you get the chance this year are Wofford, Belmont, Davidson, and Lipscomb. none are in Power 5 conferences, but all are having outstanding seasons with nearly-all-White lineups. unfortunately, they don’t play on the talmudvision that often, but they’re worth the time to seek out online sources. Fletcher Magee (Wofford) and Dylan Windler (Belmont) are particularly exciting individuals to watch, especially with your focus on the guard position.

Baylor PG Makai Mason blew up last night. 40 points and nailed 9 three pointers in a blowout against TCU. Once on the NBA radar perhaps after all his injuries and transfer he might reemerge--I hope.

Baylor has freshman 6'9" SF Matthew Mayer. He is unpolished but comes off the bench with a lot of energy. A high wire leaper he offers additional intrigue to Baylor. The game was at home last night and Mason turned the crowd into a frenzy.

Apprecate it Shadow, I was actually abour to break down some of those unheralded players. Starting with my favorite back-court tandem in Texas Tech's Matt Mooney and Davide Moretti (southern Italian)! Mooney a CG spent his first 3 seasons avg just under 20 pts a night for South Dakota. His numbers dropped to 11 ppg and 3 apg as Mooney took a big jump in competition from Summit league to the Big-12. Mooney's back-court a So. PG Davide Moretti 6'2 180 hailing from Bologna, Italy he's avg 10.5 pts and 3.5 assts, and is seen as Italy's future at the PG.

Another white G having a break-out seaosn for a normally dark team is Baylors Sr. Grad transfer Makai Mason a 6'1 190 PG from Yale who has made a seamless transition, actually improving his avgs to 16.7pts and 3.2 assts

A guy I just discovered a week ago taking the ACC by surprise in NC St (So) PG Braxton Beverly, hardly 6'0 180 he wins with elite quickness avg 9.8 ppg and 2 apg!

another player that is blowing up (but hasn’t been mentioned, i don’t think) is Utah State’s 6-5 junior point guard Sam Merrill. a contender for Mountain West Player of the Year, Merrill is getting it done in all phases for the Aggies, averaging a shade over 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game while not turning the ball over and hitting a high percentage of shots. he’s not a volume scorer; he’s very efficient.

When I first saw BYU guard TJ Haws a few years back I thought he would become a star. After a shaky sophomore season Haws has bounced back and is having a very good junior year for BYU who is 15-10. Haws is averaging 17.4 and 4.9 assists a game and has come on of late. His shooting percentages are up too.

6'4" and 170, thin white backcourt players like Haws have nearly no chance in getting NBA looks but based on his year so far there is no reason to think he won't even have a better senior campaign next season. And there is still some time left to salvage what has been a middling season for the Cougars.

Wofford is having perhaps the best year ever for their conference, even gaining traction as a possible at-large bid for the Tourney if they don’t win their conference tournament (that would be a first in conference history!). they’re currently undefeated in conference play (against a tougher than normal set of conference peers), and their only 4 losses on the season came on the road against (currently ranked) #2 Kansas, #8 North Carolina, #17 Mississippi State, and Oklahoma. all of those were tight games until the final minutes, except for the blowout at KU.

scoring machine Fletcher Magee is the highlight name, but they have a bevy of shooters, a solid (black) big man, and they don’t turn the ball over. while they aren’t very big, they could be a surprise dark horse come the Madness of March.

Belmont is also playing good basketball, highlighted by do-everything Dylan Windler. the Bruins usually start 4 White athletes and play a very unselfish style of basketball. they’ll need to win their conference tournament to get an invite, but if that happens they could pull an upset or two in the Dance if things fall their way.

there’s a terrific matchup of big men in the Big Ten going on right now. Wisconsin’s do-everything Ethan Happ and the emerging threat of Nate Reuver’s versus Michigan’s 7-footer Jon Teske and freshman phenom Iggy B.

it’s tied up at the half, 27 each. Happ has game-highs of 14 points, 7 rebounds, but also 4 turnovers through 20 minutes of game play.
