Class of 2021

As expected WR Jack Bech has switched his commitment to LSU. That makes two top tier players (S Matthew Langlois) who recently switched their commitments to LSU. WR Trey Quinn (2015) was the last high profile commit for them who played a "taboo" position.

So to refresh below is a list of top tier white wider receivers who have signed on with SEC teams. Also noted are the last significant white WRs who played for thier team including the final year they played.

Vanderbilt- Ezra McCallister (Caleb Scott 2017)

Tennessee - Walker Merrill (Zach Rogers 2012)

Mississippi - Doug Donley ( Haven't a clue?)

This season the three underclassmen of note have been sophomore Caleb Chapman (Texas A & M), freshman Trent Whittemore ( Florida) and sophomore Slade Bolden ( Alabama). However only Bolden is really "playing" but that is only because their was a season ending injury to the starter ahead of him. Whittemore of late has barely played and of course Chapman suffered a devastating torn ACL during his breakout game.

What to make of all this? Well it seems at the very least things are moving in a more positive direction of late. It remains to be seen how it will all iron out but these four 2021 WR recruits are all exceptionally talented so I would be surprised if they are left to rot on benches. But this is the SEC so one has to proceed with caution. Case in point WR Theo Gabrill is another high school stud but Missouri only offered him preferred walk on status. Walk on offers are fine for marginal prospects with promise. It is an insult to highly rated players like Gabrill.

I don't know where to say this, but it is insane how 247sports has only 1 White WR in the top 50 recruits of 2021. I am new to this idea of a caste system in football and I found it really hard to believe that there would be a system in place that stops white players from getting a proper shot. I have lurked on here for the past few weeks and it is undeniable that white players get shafted at all levels of this sport.

I would say it's pretty static maybe some years are slightly better and others slightly worse. I am not really the recruiting "expert" - we do have threads for pretty much every year that can be referred to and some really great members who follow this a lot closer than I do.

Whites have racially accepted positions - QB, TE and OL. All of those are slowly being cut into as well.

How did you discover the site? Is your interest just HS football and recruiting?

I was watching some football (I am not a big sports fan outside of boxing) and wondered why almost all white players on the viking outside of the o line (which all blacks one seem to be 10x worse on average), QB, and TE were 5x better than there black counterparts. Harrison Smith, and Adam Thielen being the two I am talking about of course.

I started looking up white wide receivers currently playing with only Thielen and Cooper Kupp being the only 2 white WR who consistently start. I was confused especially since in my opinion TE is a way more athletic postion. I came across this site when I looked up the reason behind the lack of white WR found nothing from any real site except a site talking about how white players don't even have a bust rate in any position outside of QB and came across castefootball.

I don't really care about any level of football tbh. I do watch Iowa Hawkeyes games every once in a while. Which seem to be a favorite here. I don't really have interest in recruiting, I was just surprised to see that in many positions almost all of the top 100 ranked players were black. It seemed crazy. It makes Adam Thielen seem like a guy who has an inspiring story because he went through all odds just to make it on his favorite team in the nfl and even then have to go through more while on that team to finally get a starting position, into a sad story about how if he was black he would have gotten a real shot and would have been on that team as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round draft pick.

Interesting to see a Swede playing Football. I hope we can get some more forgein white talent. I know about Moritz Bohringer. Also Marlin Klein in the class of 2022. I want to see some South African white talent since they dominate in rugby.

Since the late 70s thats insane. Thats around the same time white sprinters started to fade out of existence that has to be correlated in some way. I feel like the powers in charge are going to lose some control after Trump wins this election (not trying to bring politics into it). Many things like anti white discrimination at colleges and other places are going to slowly end through out this next decade. Stuff like trying to demoralize white people in any way possible will slowly die out.

Since 04 wow you must have seen a lot of white talent be left to rot for no other reason besides they are white. Like I said in an earlier post I am not a sports watcher, so I really don't know how black teams have become over time.

I’ll defer to @Don Wassall for that. I wasn’t born yet but from my limited knowledge of NFL history I know that positions like WR and CB were eradicating themselves of white athletes by that time. RB as well.

I don't know if he's interested in the 100 word simplistic answer or the 25,000 word one as it's not easy to sum up the Caste System and the reasons for it -- some of which aren't even directly related to sports -- in a pithy paragraph or two. What I recommend is that he go to the two forums that comprise the "Understanding the Caste System" section and start educating himself.
