All indications suggest WR
Will Taylor will sign up for the Clemson football team to go along with his baseball scholarship. The one fly in the ointment is if he gets drafted very high in the 2021 baseball draft and skips out on his scholarship which is a possibility.
As for baseball he was not a top 100 prospect going into the summer but he saw his rating rise after a sterling showing at several prospect events including the prestigious East Coast Pro Showcase in August.
As for his speed it is pretty special He was timed from the right side of the plate on a groundball from home to first in 3.74 seconds. That is what you call moving folks. Even on a bunt that is flying but on a groundball that is
insane. That is considered a blistering time for a left handed batter. Almost unheard of for a right handed batter to get to first that fast!
So what kind of 40 yard dash speed are we looking at here? Well throw 4.4 seconds out the window. 4.3 doesn't seem to be in the cards either. What about a 4.2 plus 40? I would think that would be a good ball park number. But I wouldn't discount a 4.1 plus 40 yard dash either.
Yes folks this is no
ordinary athlete. Tightly put together in a 6'0" 175 frame, Taylor is one of the most intriguing and exciting white athletes to come down the pike in quite a while.
