They are starting to multiply now. I don't know how much effect Taysom Hill has had this past year but all of a sudden there is a surge in the all everything Swiss army knife white athlete.

They have been around for ages. Think the magnificent Eric Crouch. Too bad he isn't around today because he was Taysom Hill back when but NFL teams weren't open to utilizing white players like him as an all purpose offensive player.

Meet Liam Clifford out of prestigious St Xavier HS in Ohio. 6'1" and 190 he is a dual threat QB who is listed as a WR/ATH recruit. He has 4.4 speed! Ultra talented.

All the big boys are sniffing around including, don't pass out, Penn State.

His brother is Sean Clifford, starting Penn State QB. Excited to see Sean play and excited to see Liam in the future!

RB Will Shipley has been offered a D1 scholarship to play for Alabama.

McCaffrey effect?
That is good news that he’s getting a scholarship offer from a perennial powerhouse but he’d be criminally foolish and naive to go there. I imagine he’ll get countless scholarship offers from much more “White friendly” programs. He should choose one of them.

Let us pray he does not go to Alabama. He would wind up 4th string in the slot. From what I read is that Shipley wants to stay close to home. Clemson and NC State are supposed to be in the lead though he may wind up at Wake Forest as he would probably staryt as a true freshman there.

I’d love to see him end up at Clemson. Even NC State, I think he could make a big name for himself there. If he wants a championship ring he should go to Clemson.

Will Shipley can not have a passive "oh gee shucks what ever position you want me to play coach " attitude. Will need to be ""Adamant"" about playing "Tailback" if he were to go to Alabama. Maybe just maybe Saban would be willing to give Shipley that chance; he does have ties to Belichick.

Thankfully Stanford HC David Shaw gave Christian McCaffrey the opportunity to play Tailback. It would seem Nick Saban & most every other SEC Coach would have likely have moved McCaffrey to the more Caste appropriate "Slot WR" position? Recently Bama has had Grad Transfer Slot WR's Richard Mullaney (Oregon St) & Gerhig Dieter (Bowling Green) ..

I too think Clemson would be the ideal spot for Will Shipley ....taking over for Travis Etienne w similar running styles ; + Clemson Defense is becoming College version of the NFL Patriots WR moniker. But would not 100% close the door if the ""McCaffrey- effect"" were to visit Bama/SEC in the form of Will Shipley. I am ready to see some Groundbreaking / Rule Changing stuff!

Actually Speedy Texas Tech Slot WR McLane Mannix was OFFERED to play "Tailback" at Vanderbilt....BUT he declined; opting to play "Slot WR" at Nevada before transferring. A very unusual story to say the least.

Hell could be freezing over since I believe this is the first real white skill player head coach Franklin has signed since he has been at Penn State. I suspect this is a one off given the brotherly connection. Time will tell.

Bech is a talent that's for sure. He also has an offer from Louisiana Lafayette now. Should be adding a few more! Found this clip of his 4TD performance in State Title Game!

Bucky thanks to you and others for keeping an eye on these recruits. We have not seen some of the other great members (Heretic, Dolphins15) around for awhile so it's great to see others pitch in and keep us up to date. I don't know how much I can get into tracking recruits but I'll do my best to add to the recruiting threads.

When I got home a while ago, I was going through the channels and saw where they're showing the NC 3AA HS Championship on local TV. Will Shipley's Weddington Warriors vs Lee. Mostly white Weddington winning 21-7 over about half and half Lee County. Shipley, 12 carries, 137 yards, including a 67 yard TD run. Interesting the HS players seem to mirror college and the NFL. I've seen the few black players miss tackles, drop passes and 2-3 unsportsmanlike penalties. One against Shipley. Shipley was about five yards out of bounds when the black defender knocked the crap out of Shipley. Fortunately, it didn't cause an injury.
Ready to watch the second half.

Weddington wins 34-14. Shipley 256 yards on 25 carries and 4 TD's. Weddington looked 90% white goes 16-0 and back to back 3 AA NC State Champions.

What an epic game but this incredible running back. To think he is only a junior. He will get even better if that is possible. I hope Shipley can grow 1 or 2 more inches and add some more muscle. Even if he stays the exact same he is the best high school running back in the country. I have no doubt about that! What a perfomance. Congrats to Will Shipley & the rest of the team!

Will Shipley also won North Carolina’s Gatorade Player of the Year award this year as a junior. Could become a repeat winner next season.

He recently narrowed it down to 6; Clemson, Ohio State, USC, North Carolina, LSU, and Alabama.

If he had any sense to him, he'd right away drop LSU and Bama from consideration. We all know how LSU wasted Trey Quinn and Bama has had a few token honkey WRs transfer last few years, but still I don't see him getting a fair shake there.

That leaves 4. To me Clemson or Ohio State(Brian Hartline WR coach) are on top. UNC or USC however might have the most playing time available from the start.
