And just like that, the Bengals have a majority White online! Taylor is no fool and look for Burrow to get even better. I’d say he’ll be in MVP contention this year.
Taylor is definitely not a fool. A protégé of Sean McVay, he’s learned a lot from his old boss. I have a theory that Taylor, deep down, prefers White OL, as McVay does, but he’s had sumos pushed on him by Willie Anderson, who apparently has been a Bengals adviser to the front office for offensive linemen for some time. Whatever is going on I’m so glad to see the Bengals have finally learned their lesson. Look for them to be a CF favorite next year.

A little off topic but Black o-linemen are also being signed by various teams as there's not enough overachievers to go around even if teams want them (and some don't). Will there be an improvement in the draft this year and in years to come? Team executives have to be willfully blind not to notice the large number of sumos drafted early each year who bust. But it's the same way with Black QBs -- the many busts are quickly consigned to the memory hole while the ones who succeed are salivated over.

Smart moves by the Bengals and I gotta say, the only highlight for me the last few years was Burrow coming in and not only lighting it up but coming in and being everything they have been trying to prop Mahommes up as. Watching the angst and anger by the Media, so certain they could sell Mahommes as the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning hybrid we have all been waiting for only to have Burrow swoop in and take the mantle. Very satisfying.

DE Wyatt Hubert has decided to retire before ever getting to play in a NFL game. He was injured all of last year, I believe his retirement was injury related.

Charlie Jones landed in the best possible spot. Doesn't mean he won't get screwed over like countless other White receivers, but it does mean he has a reasonable chance to be used to his strengths and thrive, possibly as a starter as soon as next year if Tyler Boyd isn't re-signed after the '23 season.

Exactly. Just they always want to racial slot the very few white receivers to the slot even if they have the speed of the starting outside
receivers. To put this kid in the slot is a waste. That being said I just want him on the field at first and then hopefully they can move
him outside where he belongs so we can see alot more big plays. Same crap they do with all of our fastest guys! Try to hide them.

Looks like the drafting of Jones will come at the expense of Irwin. I doubt he hill take a black dudes roster spot.

Another very good article on what may prove to be the steal of the 2023 draft:

This just made my day. Wish we had more honest media in this country. If the team plays him the kid will not make them sorry.
His ability in space along with his speed & athletecism makes him very tough to cover for corners & safties!

Here's another enjoyable read about Charlie Jones. It looks like his racial apprenticeship may be minimal, one year only at most if the Bengals decide not to resign Tyler Boyd after the '23 season, and there's no reason to since Jones is a notable upgrade over Boyd.
