I totally agree, Guest301. Shogun is right that it wouldn't mean that "white men can't fight," but it would still have enormous implications. No, Chuck doesn't realize it, and that's fine. He doesn't need the pressure anyway. Just relax and fight. But man oh man, will the caste fanatics have a field day with this one if Jackson wins. Personally speaking, it would be a huge disappointment. I was irritable for a week after Briggs beat Liakhovich, and I wasn't even a particularly big Liakhovich fan (I had only see him fight once, after all.) But I am an Iceman fan. It would suck so bad.

I agree with you about the "enormous implications" of a Rampage victory. We need to hang on to our almost complete domination of this sport more than anything else. So many white youths are growing up to be big MMA fans and it's got to add to their own self-respect and self-worth to see white males dominating in the ultimate sport of all. After this disastrous "March Madness" debacle, I need a Iceman victory.

AM, I would submit to you that any "man" who writes for a fashion rag is himself a royal candyass...and YES, I'd say it to his face (in a NY minute). I've said it many times on this site & amongst my friends. Most "bruthas" are gutless cowards without their "posse" or a weapon. I've personally witnessed this "gangsta/numbers" mentality many times. Without trying to sounding like an internet/online badass here, let me give you a quick example....about 10 years ago, I was playing in a rec-league that was mostly white, but had a few blacks. One game I was undercut intetionally/flagrantly by a trash-talking, gangsta, buff woodpile (about 6'4, 220ish). He smirked at me after he did it, so I launched quick teep kick follwed by a left hook & right forearm combo to his head. The loudmouth, cheapshot artist dropped like a lead balloon. The white guys on my team were in absolute shock, because they had evidentially bought into the Caste System myth that blacks are great fighters. Also, I assume the boy thought he could punk me out because I'm white.

I would love to see a "racial incident" like that happen on national tv during a NBA game. Yes it would ruin the white athlete's career but it would send a shockwave through the sports world that's much needed. Kobe will be our Rudy Tomjonovich, who will be our Kermit Washington.

I was actually about 265-270ish back then (that was pre-wife/kids)!

Guest301, I played hoops/football in HS & football in college. I had the size/strength to go pro, but my lateral quickness & initial burst didn't quite cut it. I almost went to the WCW Power Plant out of college, but was making decent money in a corporate job (same company I'm still with....12 years later). I "played it safe" and went the "career" route.

It's been pretty good for me, but sometimes I wished I would have tried pro-wrestling or MMA (circa 1995).

I like Pantera's "Walk". Rob Van Dam used to come out to that music in ECW. I would personally choose Metallica's "Seek and Destroy" that my favorite wrestler Sting used to come out to. Vader, Vicious and the late Rick Rude..all great heels in my opinion.

Man, I hope the Iceman KTFO's Rampage this weekend. I can just imagine how the Caste system will hype Jackson if he pulls off the upset. Randy Couture said this wasn't a good matchup for Chuck and expects the upset. I hope Chuck makes short work out of the boy!

Hate to be redundant, but this may be the most important sporting event in Caste history. The UFC is officially a mainstream sport now. Check out the covers of the latest edition of SI and last weeks ESPN magazine to verify that fact. Liddell has to win this fight or it will have a tremendous caste affect on the UFC and Dana White will probably bring in even more "athletic" blacks if Rampage wins.
How do you think young white kids growing up feel when they see whites dominating in a fighting sport such as this, this sport can go along way at getting rid of the feminazation of the American white male. The success of guys like Couture, Liddell, Hughes, etc...has already had a impact on how white youths see themselves. I don't want to see that diminished with a Rampage victory. If he wins, you know what they will be saying...more blacks in the MMA..the more blacks would dominate. We know that's not true but unfortunately perception is reality. Pulling for you Chuck and not just because you are my favorite MMA guy. Really nervous about this one.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but an Iceman loss wouldn't necessarily bring in hoards of blacks. For one, they would still have to defeat the many outstanding white fighters still extant. Secondly, UFC is not like football, where scouting determines who plays D-1 and whom is drafted by the NFL.

On a second note, the hubris of the American black male is absurd. A personal experience: Last night I rejoined a track club after a 3.5-month break due to night class. A cocky, America black approaches with the audacity of offering me advice on my start form; never mind the fact that this black is newer to the sport that I am, and says my start could be faster (Yes, isn't that why we are all here?! And, never mind the fact that I had the most explosive start on the team during the indoor season). I listened to his unintelligible mutter and then watched his sprint. To put it plainly gentlemen, he moved like thick molasses, dark and slow. There followed other bits of sound advice in what appeared to be a lazy, distant form of English. The Jamaican coach, who still competes, and the other Jamaican sprinter do not like him either; and next practice I vow to challenge him to a sprint or if it must be done, a fight, if he continues his unwanted advice. Sprinting is new to me, judo and boxing are not.

My coach is also seeking a former white running back whom I ran with in the winter to join the club. He's fast fellas, real fast.

IMHO, it will do more for the NHB sport if Liddell wins.

Scenario Chuck wins. It will be a similar situation as when Royce ran through the UFC back in the early days. A lot of people jumped on the bandwagon because they saw a normal looking guy beat everyone up. If Chuck wins, you will see even more white athletes that will spend the money to learn more about MMA. Thus the opening of more Dens/Dojos/Academys.

Scenario Jackson wins. You will hear a lot of "I told you so" or "i knew it was going to turn out this way." comments. And the growth in the sport wont be nearly as large as if Chuck wins. I want to see the sport grow more.

Plus I think Liddel will be a much better spokesman for MMA

We wouldnt even be talking about NHB if Royce wouldve gotten knocked out in one of the early UFC's.

I'm going with Liddell over Jackson. Last time Liddell fought Jackson was in a tournament style format where Liddell had a nasty back and forth battle with Alistar Overeem. Tonight Chuck comes into the fight in great shape and watch those heavy hands of his find their mark time and time again. If by some chance Liddell loses, look for Couture, Henderson or even Lindland to challenge Jackson for the title. Jackson winning the title is one thing but keeping it will prove to be even more difficult.

Yeah, along with the rest of the you-know-who media. Kee-rist, a
commercial for a movie before the "Main Event". They don't want the sport to
grow as much as they want to present a certain image. That of ******
actually being good at NHB en masse. The panic is on for this sport and for
boxing. The efforts to bring them "back into line" are going full tilt.
Hopefully the UFC can maintain enough integrity to keep things honest. We'll
