Do you know thoses statistics ? Number of runs sub 10 in the career :

- Asafa Powell : 67 (amazing !!!)
- Maurice Green : 53 (amazing too...)
- Usain Bolt : I don't find news about that... maybe between 10 and 20
- FrancisObikwelu : 6 (I'm not sure...)
- Yohan Blake : 6 (I think...)
- Dwain Chambers : 4 (just 4 !!!)

Do you know where we can find news about that ?

Thanks a lot !<div>
</div><div>So with 5, CL will be part of the best in few years no ?

With maybe 4 or 5 races (or more) sub 10 per year from 2012, Christophe can easily be part of the best...

- 2010 : 3 sub-10
- 2011 : 2 sub-10 (and maybe 3, 4 or 5 !)</div>

Yes Twinsen9 Lemaitre will be historical sprinter sure.
Although record of Powell i think that is almost impossible hehe.
Because he ran a lot of races by year and the most races sub10.

here is a link with a long interview of Christophe lemaitre (in french)
he's still very shy and humble, but he improves on tv
the tv guy called him "supersonic lemaitre": another nickname for him

as it is in French, here are 2 interesting things he said:
1- he was supprised by his 9.95 time, because at the start, he didin't feel "dynamic" nor "awake". So that let a lot of room for improvement when he'll be "awake" ;-))
2- he said that for 200m with usian bolt in paris diamonf league, he expect a very low time (if the weather is good) as Bolt will make him run faster

enjoy

christophe also said in the video that he would have run under 20.00 in the 200m with better weather

he also said that there were a lot af things for him to improve in the 100m, so we can expect lower times in the future

Jamaican championship will be held this week-end (Bolt won't be, since he's already qualified for Daegu)<div>

it can be harder, because not all the jamaicans are allowed to go to the world champs
if a country dominates a sport (like jamaica for sprint, and previously USA, or russia for gymnastics or pole vault) national selections are harder than the world champs

the good thing for Lemaitre is that only 3 jamaican will go to world champs (if I'm not wrong). So that leave much of his competitors out of the track. He will have 3 jamaican +3 US + 1 trinadad + 1 Zimbawe as to competitor. so if you add CL, it's 9 top competitor for 8 runner in the final. let's hope, he 'll not be the one out .

I think that will be 4 jamaicans, 3 by trials and Bolt by byes by to be champion world last time.
By other hand, if Lemaitre is in Daegu in 9.90-9.95 he will be in the final easily...

look what happen 6 years ago to mullings (caught with tesosterone). And he was running above 10.00.

Now he is supposed to be clean, and now when aged 29, for the first time he runs below 10.00 and scored a 9.80 !!

I really want to have his new training method,

it will be a very big test for him, because whan he is facing elite opponents like bolt or asafa powell, he gets impressed, and runs slowly usually

Lemaitre ?

Hum, I don't think that. Ok, in 2010, his race wasn't great against Bolt. But in 2011... it's different.

Yes frederic38, Twinsen9 tells the truth, this year Lemaitre ran with Powell and Bolt and he ran very well 10.00, and now he is in better shape,so i think that he go make several sub10 more this year( i think 3 or 4 more)

i hope so, but in the past i have often been desappointed, because he should smash his PB against bolt or powell, not only run OK
but it was because he had a lot of pressure, the ten second barrier, ect
let's see what he can do now
i hope a PB if weather is OK!

</div><div>Now, Christophe have an amazing reaction time.</div><div>
</div><div>Ok, his first 10 meters aren't the best - as Bolt... - but he's equal (or almost equal ;)) to the best runners of the world (except Bolt... hum, but not in 2011 for now).</div>

In the trials Usa in first round Mike Rodgers another sub10 legal, 9.95(+1.3). Probably will be qualified for Daegu Gay,Rodgers and perhaps Dix.
In Jamaica after first round trial favourites are Mullings,Powell and Blake.

Lemaitre for fight in good conditions against these rivals have improve for get about 9.90 in Daegu.

Twinsen9, Carter is a little injuried after Diamond League in Eugene, of course he has options yet for get first 3 places, but i think that in this moment Mullings,Powell and Blake are in better shape.
Today we will know who go Daegu(i think that Carter has few chance in the final).

Regards Twinsen9
