It's a shame that half of this entire thread is a cat fight between RCSMAN and Elispeedster.
You've both basically said the same things over and over and over now, ad nauseum.
It's so tedious and tired.
Is it possible to please move on?

THANK YOU Jacknyc for stating what many of us are probably thinking. It's okay for people to have gentlemanly disagreements and keep the discussion civil, but this long-running, name-calling insult-fest has made this entire thread totally unpleasant and unreadable, and one to be avoided. I think it's probably best to agree to disagree and just ignore each other from now on, or else continue this unsightly exchange via private message. I used to check out CF all the time just to read updates on Lemaitre, but now I hardly do because when I do check out the thread I know I'll have to scroll through post after post of negativity.

When you run 10.60, 10.65 in the first 100, you need to have a good finish to acceeds at the final. Ashmeade finish faster than Lemaitre.
If we take Lemaitre 200m without this World championship, he has a médium turn 10.40-10.45 (he musts do 10.30-10.35 maximum), his corner exit is totaly foul (since always) his 130-200 are great, if ever he has a good exit corner, he could run 9.35-9.45 in his second 100m.
This year was 10.45- 9.8 or 10.40-9.7 in his best split.
He has or he had the potential to run 19.55-60 with a great job and maximise is talent.
It's for that we are edgy he lost to many time.

The French 4×100 m relay runs the heats on Saturday morning at 6.28 am (12.28 Beijing time).
Emmanuel Biron will be on the start, Christophe Lemaitre races in the opposite line, Guy-Elphège Anouman is on the turn and Jimmy Vicaut will finish the relay.
France, line 6, will run against Jamaica, Canada and Antigua-and-Barbuda. The first three are directly qualified for the final, which is planned at 3.10 pm (9.10 pm Beijing time).

Biron: 10,78 is really slow.
Is there nobody else in France to run faster?

The changes (baton change ? I don't know the right word) of the France team are antiquated/outmoded.
All other teams have a "baton change" from above , the French team from below.

10.78 WITH CURVE is very bad = 10.53
in semi final 10.58 = 10.33 it's correct for him

This year, Biron ran 10.17 (-0.3) in Monaco

10.78 is really slow, it's for that France don't takes medals, 10.58 was okay, the relay of Lemaitre is middling, run like 2010 in Barcelone, but we can see Powell and Gatlin loose Lemaitre, De Grasse run faster than Lemaitre. They never find his top speed this year (like last year)

It will be interesting to see Lemaitre and Kilty go head to head.

Christophe Lemaitre has won on Tuesday evening the 200 m in Rovereto (Italy), in 20″31 (wind – 0,4 m/s). He finished first, the Jamaican Rasheed Dwyer is runner-up (20″33). Third place for the American Terrell Cotton (20″47). Julian Forte 5th and Walter Dix 6th.
It’s a nice victory for Christophe, after his third place in Berlin (100 m).
†It’s a pleasure to win, to feel victory, even if it wasn’t a Diamond League race “, explains Christophe.
He was without pressure. After the turn, Dwyer was always first. « I had to fight to catch up him, says Christophe. 60 meters before the end of the race, I felt tired but I thought to relax my shoulders and my legs. So I could finish well. And win the race. »
« I’m happy, it’s good for confidence, adds Christophe. I’ll try to finish well on Sunday in Rieti, despite of strong opponents. The goal is to continue in that way, to run for fun. We’ll see after the time on this 100 m. »

Notice how much more winded he is than the other runners at the end of the race.
Most start walking around, but he just stays hands on knees, breathing very very heavily.
He stands up for a moment to shake someone's hands, and then back to his knees.
This has always been the case with him.
I really wonder what the problem is. Is he asthmatic?
Very strange.

He's gone from someone the track world was watching with anticipation 4 years ago to just another fast white guy who never quite mastered the sprint.
Time to get employed - I guess his studies are completed now. Nothing more to see here.
