Hammer won a split decision last night over Erkan Teper to win the vacant WBO European heavyweight title. I didn't see the fight, but Teper was undefeated and has some wins over good opponents so a good showing for Hammer.

Christian Hammer was fighting at his heaviest weight ever and he looked very good - strong and in excellent shape. The idiot announcer said they were both tired but I only saw Price being so tired he was hanging over the ropes. Hammer was fine.

Ortiz is listed at 6'4 and Hammer at 6'2 but they both look about the same height or Hammer possibly a bit taller. Be nice to see Hammer put Ortiz away. Hammer has had a very good career with some quality wins.

Hammer looks like he is the same or taller because he is closer to the camera. He has some serious guns!

Although he's now a shot fighter after facing so many strong heavyweights over the years, Christian Hammer doesn't lack courage. Tomorrow in London, he will face hard-punching Joe Joyce.
