Well, its semi-bad news since Drogba scored the goal, but at least Frank Lampard had an assist.

Anyway congrats to Drogba, Lampard, and the whole gang at Chelsea. I wish you had fewer foreigners, but well done nevertheless.

I wonder who would have won if it had gone to penalty kicks?

Man will be back.

Didier Drogba scored during injury time Saturday to give Chelsea a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the first FA Cup final at rebuilt Wembley Stadium in Wembley, England.

The teams had played to a scoreless tie in regulation and were four minutes from a penalty-kick shootout before Drogba exchanged passes with Frank Lampard on the edge of the area and shot past goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.

Chelsea became the first team since Arsenal in 1993 to win both FA Cup and League Cup in the same season and denied Premier League champion Manchester United a record fourth league and cup double.

VfB Stuttgart won its first Bundesliga title in 15 years with a 2-1 win over Energie Cottbus in Berlin. The Bundesliga's youngest team finished twopoints ahead of Schalke on the league's final day for its fifth German league title.

Juventus beat Arezzo 5-1 in Serie B in Milan, Italy, to clinch promotion to Serie A, 10months after being demoted and docked points in the Italian match-fixing scandal.

SAILING: Luna Rossa of Italy beat BMW Oracle Racing of the United States in Valencia, Spain to move within one victory of the Louis Vuitton Cup finals.

Luna Rossa won by 1 minute, 57 seconds

Yes, I'm looking forward to that game--though I may miss part of it due to family-travel obligations.

That FA cup game went down in history as one of the most boring ever, especially the first half. I was extremely annoyed that Joe Cole got subbed at half time but Rooney was ripping Chelsea apart despite him not having a strike partner. Can't wait for Liverpool! They are so special in Europe with all their history and all and we get to see the worlds best player Kaka!!! What do you all think of the new wembley??? biggest stadium in the world under a roof! I went to the old one which was something special but well outdated.

Yeah, Wembley did look great even though it took about 10 times the
length they said it would take. I really hope to get out there for next
years FA cup final, and maybe my Hammers can be in it! I also agree that
it was an unbeliveably boring game, although the fact that it was kept
from penalties took it out of the running for worst match in FA cup final
history, although I can't recall watching a worse one. The Euro final
should be great, but I too am gonna be on the road, so I'll have to listen
to it on BBC world service, which is actually not that bad. It's hard to see
how it won't be a close game, especially after the last time they met in a
final, where Liverpool came back from 3-0 down in the second half to tie
it up and win it in penalties. If this one goes to penalties too, just mark it
as a win for Liverpool, because IMO their keeper Pepe Reina is far and
away the best at saving penalties in the world, as he showed against
Chelsea last month and against West Ham one year ago. I see Liverpool
winning 2-1 in extra time with at least one goal from Steven Gerrard, who
has been absolutely spectacular in cup finals recently.

In the FA cup manchester started an all white team while as chelsea had 6 whites and 5 black players starting. This was still a fairly white affair for the english league.
