On the subject of black players deliberately attempting to hurt white players. On the 700 Club, of all places, they profiled a black preacher/community activist who once played college football. He said his racial anger fueled his football success. His goal was to KILL a white player during a game because it would be legal. If he were to kill a white off the field there might be a legal issue.
Of course he's reformed now, with a nice smile to prove it.
Chuck Cecil always went full speed, even during practice. During one drill he knocked unconscious two WRs in a row. The coaches quickly took him aside to explain it wasn't necessary to do that.
Reverse the races. Would the coaches have done the same thing? Did any coach ever explain to Will Demps that Shockey wins games while Demps at best might not be so bad as to lose games?
(Will Demps supports my idea a person is black or not black. His mother is Korean. But who considers him Korean?)
(Cecil was a gifted defender who would have been a good NFL player even without the monster hits. Better than average speed, uncanny anticipation, sure tackler. But he never believed he had the physical skills necessary to compete against 'better' athletes. So he needlessly shortened his career.)
