Caste matchups week five

Hah.
6'8" Joseph Fauria with a hurdle of the cornerblack for a TD!

+
This will be Fauria's last year of eligibility. I hope the NFL scouts don't go to bed early every week. With his size and athleticism, he would absolutely be a star in the NFL.

The Jets should draft him. I'm sure Mark Sanchez would love to have another mexican on the team.:)

Sam Mcguffie with 6 carries for -4 yards. Does anyone know why he's playing so poorly?

I asked that last weekend and no one responded as well, FundamentallySound. Such an explosive and athletic player and he's actually playing much worse this year than last. At this rate, he won't get drafted.

Except Burkhead didn't get shut down, he had 96 rushing yards 1 td and 9 receiving yards, so over 100 yards from scrimmage. I don't think Burkhead has been shut down so far.

Martinez just has to work on his passing. Burkhead averaged over 5 ypc

Michael Dyer had 41 rushes for 141 yards, 3.4 ypc last night.
Marcus Lattimore averaged 3.9. Does anyone think that Lattimore is severely overrated? Hes a good powerback but nowhere close to being the best in the nation, people are talking like he is a top 15 pick in the draft. I would say Zach Line looks 10x better than him.

"Does anyone think that Lattimore is severely overrated?"

He IS... I watched him several times last year in his inaugural SEC campaign, and most opponents did not know the basics of tackling (or pursuit..). Only a few teams were competent and had little trouble with him.

The media will go on-and-on about how he supposedly "slides his hips" to avoid being tackled and to gain extra yards, but when I watch South Carolina play, I usually see horrible horrible tackling-attempts and very poor pursuit...

Even though the media admits that he doesn't have "Darren McFadden speed" -- they are still essentially treating him as the SECs new Darren McFadden (and are claiming he's "worthy" of a top 5 pick to the NFL).

I should add.. Lattimore can be a good weapon in the receiving game, but, as far as rushing goes, his numbers are quite INFLATED. There was a game last year where incompetent Tennessee was totally humiliated.

Zach Line is a complete back and can be just as good as Peyton Hillis if given the chance. I'm very excited to see where he will play in the future. He is capable of around 150 yards every week in college if they just gave him the ball more. He ran for 120 against TCU. Outstanding game despite not running it enough. Zach Line is for real.

Persa's back, making Zook and the Fighting Zulu's look silly. So far he has 4TD passes halfway through the 3rd Qtr. Trumpy limped off with an injury earlier and is now in the locker room getting looked at. He was running great before the injury. Hope it's not too serious.

Trumpy had a decent day with 63 net yards and a 5.2 ypc average. It was good to hear the on air commentator state that Trumpy is considered by the NU coaching staff to be the most "explosive" player on the team. According to the NU web site, Trumpy ran a 10.59 in the 100 meters while in high school!
