I was bedridden with a terrible flu and fever for a few days, so I wasn't able to get out to a post office to send the $100 money order until today.

In the "from" space: (first name), then "Parody", then (last name)

So when you see "Parody" in the middle of the name, you'll know who it's from.

The total is now up to $1,497.77, thanks to $240 from three donations received in the mail, from California, New Jersey and the Highlands; and $175 received via credit card from Illinois and Arkansas.

Yes, thanks to all who have given. Let's keep the contributions rolling in. Again I still think it would be great if people who can't afford to give 20, 50, or 100 bucks could still muster up 3, 4, 5 bucks, put it in an envelope and send it in so we can get our giving percentage up.

That being said, I'm very happy with the number of different people who have given. This shows that we are not all talk here, and that we will rise to action. Out of all the different great efforts here I think this so far has been our biggest breakthrough, as it shows that we truly do care and will stick up and stand up for this site and our values.

The new site layout and new functionality will make us even more appealing. One thing I always liked about Caste Football is the format is very "mainstream" looking, although dated a few years now. Although some servers have categorized this as a "hate site," I think the layout and the ground rules we have established here make some fence straddlers feel a little bit more comfortable being here.

I'm looking forward to everything these contributions will bring and hope it will mark a new and prosperous era for Caste Football.

When my next payday comes I'll put in another $55 or so, even if we have already surpassed the goal. It won't be until after next week because of my odd pay schedule, where if payday falls on a non-business day sometimes it's bumped up early a few days, like last time, or delayed a few days.

After seeing the "town hall" meeting earlier this evening on BSPN (Black SuPremacist Network) while on a treadmill at the gym, it became even more obvious how important this site is. The overall pandering and airtime given to the likes of Spike Lee to hear him yap on was nausea-inducing, especially when mentioning the lack of black sportswriters and in "leadership" positions in the NBA and NFL, given that "brothers" dominatethe NBA and NFL, or some blabbering like that. Again, it's not considered diverse unless 13% of the population has 90% of all of the positions of every sport, including "leadership" positions, concessions, sportswriters, etc.

Another one mentioned how 40-times or strength, etc. "proved" "their" position on the field, obviously oblivious to the caste-system, starting at the high school level, that keeps others with those same credentials off the field because of the color of their skin. How ironic is it that a program like this, supposedly in support of the MLK holiday, was all about the color of skin ("black") and not about the content of character (which includes "ability").

CasteFootball is the only counterpoint to this blatant discrimination and entrenched propaganda campaign and why I'll be sending another $40 tomorrow. I hope others can continue to pitch in whatever they can, even if it's $5, $10, $20, until we reach the goal.

Here's the mailing address again for snail mail contributions:

Just sent $18 via Pay Pal. I gave a pledge to donate at least $20. I'm looking for a second job since me and my wife are so cash strapped right now. We just bought our first fix ur' upper house. I should be able to give a little more when the job arises. Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Being an unemployed student, sadly I have little if any financial means of giving to this site. But I will give you my two cents at least. I feel I am like a silent majority here, I don't post often but I come to this site almost once a day, for reasons much more than football. This is an extremely important site, and Mr. Wassall, you are doing a damn fine job at what you do. The amount of perspective I've gained here is incredible. The large amount of guests here I assume look at much more than just the Football forums. Hopefully I can contribute $10 sometime soon, I feel at what the site is worth to me that is a little low, but it's what I can do.

Keep up the good work!

Andrew Lynch, I'm sure you can find a way to stash away a dollar here and there until you get to the ten you plan to give. Good luck with with school and with searching for work. I'm sure there's something out there you can do while you go through school if you look hard enough, even if it's not the most desirable thing. Trust me I graduated and I'm not doing the most desirable job.

And Don, awesome news on racking the $2,000 mark! I still probably won't get paid until next week, but I'll still toss in another $55 once I do even if the goal has been met, which hopefully it will be!

Thanks to everyone who has given, I'm sure everyone here appreciates the mutual support. Caste Football has been building up a great community for years, and has only been pushing forward. Let's keep this going.

I'm gonna make my pitch again for the small donations from anyone who doesn't think it's feasible to give at this point. It's not simply the amount we give, but the fact that we give that is really important. It's a proven thing that if we're generous when we don't have a lot we'll still be generous when we do. It's the same thing with happiness, self worth, etc. It works the same with negative attributes, if we're selfish, unhappy, troubled, etc. you can throw hundreds of thousands of dollars on top of it but it won't change those fundamental truths. Just look at a lot of the affletes who get full college rides with all sorts of other perks and benefits, and wind up unhappy, resentful, and in debt.

As far as giving small amounts, I'd like to recount the story in the Bible about this in the Gospel of Luke:

As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

Let's heed those words. If you can somehow find 3, 4, or a five spot please just stick the cash in an envelope, get one first class postage stamp at the post office and address the envelope to:

10161 Park Run Drive, Suite 150

Just drop that in the outgoing mail at the post office and you have made a bold and significant statement that you stand by the site and have a vested, financial interest in it's success. Of course those who can should give more, but I truly believe there's a lot of people who could give small amounts that for whatever reason. Please realize that all you can give is appreciated, and that small amounts from a lot of people really add up.

Thanks again everybody!

gentlemen (and ladies!), keep chipping in. we've almost met Don's necessary goal. if you've not chipped in yet, find a way to do so as soon as possible. we all know how important this site is, and as Electric Slide said so eloquently ... every dollar helps. you make a difference! so chip in what you can, even if it is only a few bucks.
cheers, and keep the donations coming.

My wife and I talked about it and she said she doesn't have a problem with me donating another $7 via Pay pal to bring my total to $25. I will echo ES and Highlanders sentiments that I'm sure basically anyone can put together at least $5 and send it to Don. It would be as easy as eating a lighter lunch one day, buying a cheaper 18 pack of beer and you could name multiple other things you don't need to buy just on ONE day that could allow you to send at LEAST $5 to Don. I hope we can go even further than $2500 and hopefully reach $5000 or more, hopefully even $10,000. Don could use any extra money at his choosing to grow the site more in various ways, maybe even pay one researcher a small gratuity for writing articles, arguing for our athletes on other boards and maybe writing some articles for Bleacher report to spread the word on the discrimination our guys face for the year following the site rebuild! This site has absolutely made a small difference and I have faith in Don's ability to make the site even more influential.

Don, please let us know the date the site format will be changing once you know. I think some of us would like to go through our outbox and inbox and find any PMs from members we consider friends and PMs we sent them we want to keep. With me I consider some of them like letters to and from friends and as a writer I like to save things in Microsoft word to remember what my thoughts were at different times in my life. I share some of my outbox letters with my closest family members, but I don't share messages received by me with anyone (I might make an exception for my wife if she asked since a married couple is an adjoining in the eyes of God, but she'd have to read it with me at my computer), b/c they were sent just like a letter- expected to be received solely by the recipient.

Thanks to all my friends here that have been a positive influence to me and made the site fun and purposeful!
